Arlyn and Adrian

Arlyn and Adrian
5

"This one's. This one's. And this one."

Nevan shoved the clothes in her hand on Adrian's body. Adrian nodded according to.

He was wearing layers of clothing chosen by Nevan. And get out of her room as soon as she's dressed.

Nevan whistling. Then fold both hands in front of the chest. "He really told you not to bring anything?"

Adrian nodded in confirming. "Hm."

Nevan murmuring. "I always bring flowers to Grace. And he's always happy. He's gonna take me for a picture, and he's gonna flaunt it on his social media. But that woman, Arlyn. Tell you not to bring anything?"

Adrian nodded again. Nevan was busy with her thoughts. What kind of woman is Arlyn?

He put that thought aside and patted Adrian on the shoulder. Drive him to the terrace where his car is parked.

"Go away. Call me if you have any trouble."

Adrian smiled a little. "I'm leaving."

Nevan nodded and smiled with satisfaction. Watching his best friend's car drive away from his house.

Adrian arrives in front of Arlyn's house. The sky is starting to get hot. Hit already showing at 12 noon. The time he and Arlyn agreed to.

He imagines himself having lunch with Arlyn. For the rest, maybe he'll let Arlyn choose. Maybe he wants to go to the cinema? Like the other guys?

Adrian decided not to think much. He brought his steps to Arlyn's doorstep. Pressing the bell button.

A few seconds passed. There was the sound of someone stepping behind the door. Unlock. Then open the knob. Then, Arlyn's figure appeared through the open door.

"Oh. Hii. You coming?" Sweepings.

Adrian smiled clumsyly. "....Are you ready?"

Arlyn flicked her shoulder.

He did not prepare himself at all. He just does his routine as usual. He was wearing simple clothes. She did not tidy up her hair and just tied it loose.

But he's just going to the mall. Not any event. And maybe he'll make this man at his door lose interest in him.

Not bad.

Arlyn had brought nothing but some of her money and the house keys.

"Come on."

He got ahead of Adrian to the car and sat in front like yesterday.

They arrived at the mall. Both roads go hand in hand. Adrian was nervous but the woman beside him did not look so at all.

"Let's go there."

Arlyn pointed at one of the restaurants in the mall with her chin. Adrian assented.

"okay."

A waiter approached them.

"For how many?"

"none. We'll buy food to pack." Answer Arlyn.

"good. Please go straight to the cashier."

Adrian silent. "....You're not eating?"

Arlyn shrugged her shoulders. "Food here is expensive."

Adrian reflex raised his eyebrows. "...I'll buy it for you. You still don't want to?"

Arlyn shook her head. Adrian was confused. Then why did Arlyn bring them here? Arlyn wants to wrap the food for who?

Adrian was made to wonder but he didn't say anything. After all, from the beginning, he intended to follow Arlyn's will. As long as he could see the woman's face, he wouldn't mind anything.

"Good afternoon. Can I help you?"

Arlyn answered immediately. "Order package number 3. Wrapped. 3."

"good. Package number 3. Wrapped 3 yes." The cashier pressed the buttons on the computer screen in front of him. "The total is 232 thousand rupiahs. Cash or card?"

Arlyn stepped aside. Please allow Adrian to pay. Adrian gave me the card.

Finished paying Arlyn to approach one of the waiting chairs. Adrian followed.

They sit next to each other. Waiting for Arlyn's order food to be made.

Arlyn leaned her back against the wall of the restaurant. "Adrians."

Adrian had not taken his eyes off Arlyn. Surprised to hear the woman say her name for the first time.

Arlyn with unconcerned eyes turned to the man beside her.

"You said you saw me at the supermarket? When?"

Adrian feels a little disappointed because Arlyn does not remember him. That means he's not attractive to Arlyn at all.

"...I was going to get cheese. Then your hands are stretched out to the same thing."

Arlyn frowned. Remember clearly the incident at that time.

"So you were a man then?" Ask doesn't care.

Adrian widened his eyes.

"You remember?"

Arlyn clucked. "of course. I'm not senile."

Then he realized something.

"You were interested in me at that time? Directly? What's got you interested in? I didn't do anything but steal groceries from you."

Arlyn frowned. Waiting for what kind of response the man will give.

Adrian was made to think by that question.

Is correct. What attracted him to Arlyn?

But, everything just happens.

That smile. Adrian had never seen such a smile before.

And when he saw Arlyn's attitude back then, he just knew.

This woman is different.

The rest, his instincts and his heart that made Adrian now sit and look at Arlyn's face.

His heart said, this woman should always be around him. Adrian should always be able to look at Arlyn's face.

And he wants to protect the woman. Adrian feels, whatever Arlyn requests, he will do it. Whatever Arlyn wants, Adrian will give it.

This kind of thinking, it's kind of weird. Adrian could not refuse.

Adrian's lips started moving. "...You, different."

Arlyn's mouth is open. His face showed the pain of a forehead full of astonishment. "Huh?"

Adrian. He made his eyes look at the mall floor.

Only Arlyn made him feel this.

How does Adrian say it?

Arlyn sees Adrian looking busy fighting with himself. Arlyn turned her eyes to the glass of the mall where she could see the view of the daytime sky and the buildings outside.

As long as Adrian doesn't bother Arlyn, Arlyn will let him do what he wants.

Adrian heard Arlyn's words immediately closing his mouth.

The woman said she didn't need the answer.

On the other hand Adrian is grateful Arlyn said that. Because he himself was also too confused as to what kind of answer he should give.

"Mas."

The cashier raised his hand. Trying to make Adrian aware of his call. Next to it was a plastic wrap on the cashier's table.

Arlyn brought her body up. He walked over to the package and turned around after thanking the cashier. Adrian approached.

"Let me take her." Her speech.

He stuck out his hand. Arlyn looked at Adrian's hand, looking up at the man's face, before lightly handing over the parcel in his hand. Adrian accepted it.

He was silent for a moment before asking. "...Is there anything else you want to do?"

Arlyn answered immediately. "No. We can go home. To my house, of course. You have to take me home."

Hearing that Adrian's eyes widened slightly.

"....Aren't you happy walking with me?" Ask. His face had a sad expression.

Arlyn was given the question instantly furrowed her brows. "Why are you asking that?"

Adrian's shoulder slumped. How not? He imagines time going along with Arlyn. Make him have the opportunity to get to know Arlyn who without the woman knowing has mastered the mind and heart of Adrian.

He thought of himself visiting some places with Arlyn. Where, Adrian doesn't know. Maybe a playground? A cinema? Mall park?

Or at least a meal together. Where Adrian can invite Arlyn to talk. Maybe ask a few things. Stale-based.

But now Arlyn says to go home?

Adrian could not be disappointed.

Arlyn was stared at with those sorrowful eyes that couldn't help but frown.

This guy, don't-don't.

"You, thinking of dating me?"

Adrian silent. Receiving that question he felt himself shrouded in shame.

Arlyn, on the other hand, could see the red color on the tip of the male ear that was taller than her.

Arlyn.

He gave a short scornful laugh. "What's the point of dating? If you want to get close to me, you can do it in my house. No need outside, in a mall like this."

Adrian widened his eyes.

"...You, let me visit your house?"

Arlyn received the question muttering.

He has never let anyone else visit. Because he didn't have any friends or anyone to make him have guests.

But now there is Adrian. People who claim to have an interest in him, and want to get to know himself more closely.

He didn't think letting the man visit would be a problem.

He shrugged his shoulders. "You'll just talk to me. And looking at me as constantly as ever since we got out of the car."

Arlyn said cuek. Adrian heard it was made to jump.

"......You realize?"

Arlyn grunting.

Stared continuously like that. Who is unconscious?

Arlyn did not feel that her pair of eyes watching her every move would hurt her so she behaved indifferently.

But Adrian thinks Arlyn didn't notice? Arlyn thinks Adrian is ridiculous.

"Let's go. There's no point in lingering here."

Arlyn said that Adrian could spend time with her at her house. So Adrian doesn't feel back. He calmly yet excitedly followed Arlyn's steps. Arlyn on the other hand laughed at the feeling that the man had towards her.

Just a permit to get close, and the mood of the man instantly improved? Arlyn thought it was ridiculous.

As soon as the two of them were in the car, Adrian realized something.

"....Is there anyone in your house?"

Adrian lives in his own house. Separated from her parents. Makes his father happily spend his time alone with his mother.

And so did Adrian's other friends. They all have their own home. Using the house to spend their time with their lover-Adrian feels his face heating up thinking of it-which makes Adrian forget the possibility that Arlyn is still living with his parents.

Arlyn beside him muttered. "Yes." Yeah."

"Your parents?"

"No. They don't exist anymore."

Adrian silent.

"..The deceased?"

Arlyn nodded.

Adrian was about to say 'i'm sorry' but Arlyn raised her hand.

"They've been dead a long time. I don't need your sorrow."

Adrian heard it shut his mouth. Decided to ask something else.

"Then?"

Arlyn answered. "My children."

Adrian silent. His eyes did not move a bit from the side of Arlyn's face.

"......Your kid?"

Arlyn nodded. "Yes. They've been staying at their friend's house. At 1 o'clock they're home."

Arlyn glanced at the clock on Adrian's dashboard. It's 12:59 now. When Arlyn came home they would've been home.

Adrian still has trouble moving. His brain was working, and his chest was tight.

"......Have you ever been married?"

Arlyn flicked her shoulders.

Adrian silent.

"...Is your husband home?"

Arlyn leaned her back against the chair she was sitting on. "There's no such thing. Oi. Let's go."

Adrian gulps the saliva collected in his mouth. With a clumsy motion put his hands on the steering wheel and the tooth lever.

The journey takes place in silence. Adrian has a desire to say something but a sense of shock that is still not lost makes his tongue stiff.

They arrived in front of the house. At the same time, three small children walked together towards Arlyn's house. A funny expression was placed on his third face. Looking at the existence of a nice car parked in front of the building where they live.

Arlyn opened her mouth. "Open the door."
