Chapter 60

That afternoon it rained down on the earth, the bus was still traveling at high speed. The driver would occasionally yawn because he felt sleepy. The weather like now seems to be good if you only sleep at home with your wife. But work tells him to stay consistent.

He glanced at the friend beside him, the man was sound asleep apparently. Then glanced at the center rearview to see his passengers back there. Many of them fall asleep in positions facing each other with their respective partners.

I miss my wife in this weather, hyks! the driver scrunched his face and refocused forward.

The drowsiness was growing on him. The rain was also very heavy, clearly visible from the window of the bus.

In order for his drowsiness to lessen a bit, the man took the initiative to make a video call with his wife. With the wife talking, even if only on the phone screen, it might make her eyes strong.

The phone was already in his hand, his smile emanated when he saw a photo of a woman on his flat object screen. He immediately called and put his phone in a place that could show his face clearly later.

"Hallo baby!"

The call was connected, immediately speaking when he saw his wife's face across the street.

"Mas, why call, but not yet arrived" said the wife

"Sleepy, you talk to me, yes" he replied. The man only occasionally looked at his phone. The wife continued to talk cheerfully. Accompany her husband, although not directly.

The hole in the middle of the road made a loud bang on the bus. The phone that had shown the wife's face had fallen under her feet.

"Damn," he said. His hand was already fumbling down looking for his flat object, his gaze was already unfocused on the road.

Teeeettttttt …. The sound of the horn was heard very loudly from the opposite direction.

The sound of a blow was heard very loudly, with the sound of a horn that continued to sound loud.

"I'm sorry God" the driver muttered before he was unconscious.

Diki was not calm at home, he several times contacted his father's cell phone but never connected.

"Why are their phones inactive?" ask himself. Already barren in his house. Makes the wife worried.

"Darling, you don't go dong, I'm getting dizzy seeing you pacing back and forth," Rena told Diki.

"Ren, they should have been up until now, but why ..., "he said hanging by staring at his wife. "You take care of the children yes, I want to go to the terminal, who knows they are trapped in the rain there," he continued who had walked to the main doorway of his house.

"Just be careful on the road. Tell me if you've met them." 

Without waiting for a long time, Diki had already left her yard with the motorcycle Tia had bought for her.

The rain has not completely subsided, but it is also not as hard as before. Diki drove his motorbike at medium speed because the road was so slippery.

"Excuse me, I would like to ask, has the bus from M city arrived?" diki asked politely to one of the parking attendants who were there.

"M City?" repeat the man was a little surprised. Diki immediately nodded, still waiting for the answer from the middle-aged man. "The bus was in an accident at a city crossing sir."

The body that had stood firmly immediately sat on a puddle of water that was still separated. His mind immediately ran around, the faces of his father and mother were glimpsed before him, they were smiling looking at the unmoved Diki.

"Dad, mother, I'm sorry," he muttered with a body that seemed to have no energy.

"Sir ... sir, are you okay?" asked the panicked looking middle-aged man beside her. He helped Diki to stand up immediately. 

"My father and mother were on the bus, sir" he said. The man who had helped her looked surprised then patted Diki on the back several times.

"You'd better go to the city hospital, sir, maybe the victim's passenger is already there."

"Okay, thank you."

"Doctor, are there any bus accident patients here?" he panicked with one of the doctors he met.

"True sir, please check at the reception desk," said the Doctor and Diki immediately ran to the place appointed by the Doctor.

A nurse led him to the ICU where his parents were. He stared at the glass door, his tears just flowing when he saw his parents who were lying helpless inside. Guilt haunted him.

"Can I come in?" I asked without looking at the nurse.

"For now can't sir, the Doctor is handling the patient," the nurse explained smiling kindly.

Finally he just sat in the waiting chair in front of the ICU room. Waiting for the doctor who is examining his parents.

"Doctor, how are they?" the question immediately approached the female doctor who had just come out.

"Are you his family?"

"Yes, I'm Doc's son."

The doctor called Diki to join his room. With heavy steps the man followed.

"Doctor, what about my parents?" his tone of voice sounded so worried.

"We'll do what we can sir."

"They must be safe Doc, I beg you," he asked with a deep gaze.

"I'm sorry sir, but if your parents are healed, they won't be as healthy as they used to be, the impact on your father's head is so hard that it's left his mental nerves injured. And your mother, the impact on her tailbone is so hard that she'll have a disability." The doctor explained guiltily. But he should be honest with his patient's family.

They still continued to talk, Diki begged to do her best for her parents. The doctor answered yes with the smile he forced.

Suddenly a nurse opened the door and entered in a hurry. "Tok, the patient you just handled is conscious," he explained. With a happy face Diki immediately passed following the Doctor who had walked first.

Dear God, please save my parents, he asked in between his steps.

"They want to meet you" said the doctor who had been out of the ICU room. Diki also happy face in and approached his parents.

"Dad, mother .. forgive me," he said bitterly with a guilty look. The two middle-aged humans smiled.

"Son" said Gunawan lirih but with a smile that he continues to show.

"He's dad. You have to heal, promise me" he asked with glassy eyes. Rita no longer spoke, but she kept smiling at her son.

"Dad wanted to ask you something,"

"Just tell dad. Do you want me to move to M city with you?" diki asked jokingly to cover up the fear in her heart.

"Please call your sister now."

Diki immediately pulled out her phone and contacted Tia. A few moments the call was connected, but the voice of the man across there was heard.

"Hello, where's Tia?" ask Diki directly.

Not yet Diki heard Andika's answer, Gunawan has already grabbed the phone.

"Australia …." Gunawan has spoken, although it sounds very slow.

"Dad, why are you telling me now? We've been so worried, but thank God you're okay." I heard a sense of relief from across.

"Andika, please take good care of our daughter, don't make her suffer with you. Never make him cry" Gunawan said, begging, a smile still emanating on his face. The phone connection was cut off immediately before getting an answer from across.
