"Just say hello to your pride once," Claire said while sneering at him. He immediately ran to the porch to greet Alesse and several other friends.

William invites Alesse to approach one of the plots. "Look! This is a basilisk" William said, showing a large snake that appeared to show the back of his head on the surface of the water.

Actually he could have overcome the snake easily, but he wanted to teach William how dangerous it was to let the slithering animal live in the city.
