16. Dead Lights

Amelia stepped with her judges face, pointing to a girl who was now standing stiff and face down. His gaze was sharp, making some people look towards him. He did not walk alone, but with the two friends who walked behind him. The girl who was targeted looked scared, her heartbeat as if it sounded to the ears.

"Lo Dara, right? Reynand's winner?" Ask Amelia.

"Yes Brother." Dara answered nervously.

"Follow me now." Pinta Amelia while lifting her chin to make her face more upright.

Not looking for trouble, Dara obeyed Amelia's words. What's on her mind now, what's wrong to the point that Amelia asks herself to come with her. Because Amelia seems to be the queen of the school, rarely people who dare to fight Amelia.

Amelia invites Dara to go to the back of the school, looking for a quiet place so that no one can hear their conversation.

"Be afraid, I won't say anything." Said Amelia, calming.

Dara was still scared.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, Kaila gets to her house. Reynand immediately said goodbye, it seemed quite tired because this day was a walk with Kaila. With tired and limp steps, Kaila climbed the stairs to get to her room. Slowly the door of his room opened, his body longed for a mattress.

Dave's steps begin to slow down, as if he's willing to meet him if Kaila doesn't. Amelia catches up with Dave, seeing Kaila's evasive actions. She smiled cunningly, happy that the two did not meet.

Amelia walked to the cafeteria, not like she usually walked by herself. His two friends do not follow Amelia, because his first goal is to meet Dave. This afternoon the cafeteria was so crowded, it was natural that many children complained of overheating.

His eyes were fixed on the corner of the canteen, Reynand and his friends sitting down while enjoying iced tea. In the other corner, Kaila and Dave seem to be arguing. Discussing the same problem, the problem that should not be discussed anymore.

Reynand received the lunchbox, already impatiently wanting to try her fried rice.

Reynand opened the lunch box that Dara gave, the smell of fried rice immediately smelled. Dara sat next to Reynand, intending to accompany her to eat fried rice.

"Gas son?" Dara asked, as the first mouthful had finished being swallowed.

"So much." Answer Reynand.

Dara smiled happily, Reynand ate it again.

"Barusan Kak Kai found Kak Alby?" Ask Dara.

Reynand looked at Dara, "Engga. Why?"

"Father, I just met."

"Huh? No, just ask."

Kaila stepped limply into her house, her eyes fixed on the pink suitcase beside the stairs. The direction of his gaze saw Mother who was already wearing neat clothes and bags.

"Mom, where are you going?" Tanya Kaila is spontaneous.

"You go to Semarang, Grandma's sick." Answer Ratna.

Kaila saw her sister who was getting ready as well, she rushed to her room to prepare. Before he was left.

"Where are you going Kai?" Ask Ratna.

"You go to Mom's room, get changed. Wait a minute, I'll just be a minute."

"You don't have to come, just in Jakarta with Brother." Said Ratna, preventing Kaila from changing clothes.

"Loh I'm not coming? I'm coming with Mom, I'm missing Grandma too."

Kaila still continues her phone with Reynand, sometimes laughing because of Reynand's story. Suddenly the lights of his room went off, making himself startled and growing more afraid. He also saw the lights of his neighbors who also died.

Not telling me anything, Reynand turned off the phone. Kaila was very scared, her eyes could see nothing. Her feathers stood up, her heart beating fast without rules. Kaila then walked slowly while fumbling, lying in bed and covering her entire body with a blanket.

Shortly after that, there was a sound of a motor from below. Kaila grew afraid, fearing that a bad man might enter her house. Kaila's hand clutched the blanket even tighter, until her phone rang.

Kaila saw who the caller was, then picked up the phone.

Kaila took off her blanket and walked downstairs with the phone not yet turned off. His steps were vague, afraid that until Reynand was not serious.

The door was opened, and sure enough, Reynand was at the door. With his painted smile.

"How come there's lo?" Ask Kaila.

"Yes I know you're afraid of being alone, which is why I'm here." Answer Reynand.

"Now I'm more afraid, afraid of lo macem-macem."
