"Are you done?" albern asked, half shouting.
"Not yet! Just stay where you are. Look out if you get caught peeping, I won't forgive you!" sahut Allena behind the trees, still busy with activities to change his clothes.
Albern, who was sitting cross-legged in front of the embers, chuckled at the sound of the melodious voice. He is currently burning his fish in the river. Actually he deliberately only caught one fish, because that way who knows Allena had mercy and shared the grilled fish with him. How romantic it would be to eat one meal together. Whether successful or not, the most important thing is that he has tried to make things dramatic.
After a while of hiding, Allena also appeared wearing a simple dress with a dark brown nuance limited to calves. He began to fold his legs in front of the embers as well, opposite Albern.
"Why should this be the kind of clothes you bring?"
"It's all that's available. After all you look prettier in that dress than jerseys and jeans, like a man" said Albern, then his gaze on the girl turned into a spotlight of admiration. "You know? Looking at you with your current appearance feels like you're looking at Princess Snow White. Plus your face, very supportive exactly."
Allena ignored the more sombre-like praise by turning her eyes to a grilled fish in Albern's hands. "You did this on purpose, didn't you?"
"Smart girl."
"I'd rather not eat than share food with you."
"Ouh, stingy..." Albern shook his head as if sad to hear the girl's words. "But it's okay if you don't want to. Go ahead and find your own food."
"What's? You're a man, you're supposed to give in to women! You're a vampire anyway, why eat human food?"
"Blood is just my drink. So I still need food. And whatever kind of food, my body will digest, just like any human being."
Allena hissing. It was only a second that he began to rise with an annoyed grunt, and again dropped his butt in the grass, but this time right next to Albern.
Albern smiled, then extended his hand filled with grilled fish meat from his small pinch toward Allena's mouth.
"I can do it myself." Allena refused while throwing her gaze in the other direction.
"Always about love. Do you know if that one word can complicate a person's life?" Allena cleared her throat and said softly. "Ah, you don't know much about me. Including the feeling that had been secretly making my heart restless."
"What does that mean ..."
"Yeah, you know exactly what I mean. But, I doubt you for looking at your behavior all along as if to show that you're only interested in my body."
"How can-"
"You who in fact have the ability to read the heart and mind of someone just do not know the contents of the bottom of my heart. Is that what you want to ask?"
"You never show the characteristics"
"I deliberately kept it a secret .. in order to test your seriousness." If it used to be Albern, it seems now is Allena's turn who likes to interrupt people's words. The law of karma actually applies and he is proud of it. "the outcome? I don't know, I don't know what you really want. But I can make sure you're after something that's on me. Therefore, you cannot find my true feelings, for your mind has been possessed by something that is certainly meaningful and worthy of preference over the heart."
Albern silent a thousand languages.
"That is also why I am trying to get away from your reach, so that the genius of love does not destroy me."
"I'm sorry.." said Albern after a moment of silence. A word that describes regret. Hearing that, Allena's head that was originally lowered spontaneously lifted, looking straight at the man's face. Beyond a doubt. He thought Albern would try to dodge his words. It is like the habit of people when they are caught making mistakes. But it turns out, the opposite. "It's my solemnity, I promise I won't leave you no matter what," Albern said, his tone sounding heavy and solemn.
Allena smiled cynically and shook her head slowly, regretting her who had not been able to instill confidence. "Promise? All I need is your proof, Albern..."
"That's for sure, you'll see." Albern said steadily, then returned to direct the food in his hand to Allena's mouth. "Please..."
A few seconds speechless just staring blankly at the food, the Arena finally complied, accepting Albern's mouthful. He also leaned his head on the man's broad shoulders muttering with his mouth still chewing. "I .. love you."
Albern took a quick peek at the top of the girl's head and rubbed it gently. While Allena closed her eyes while clenching her hands tightly, holding tightness in the chest when she found out the man did not return her words of feeling. A single tear slid without her noticing and Albern acted as if he did not know. Like when they first met, Albern was still the same, a mysterious person. Whereas Allena-sang the steel-hearted introverted girl-has now turned weak and crybaby. All this happens because of love. And the cause of that love is that vampire guy!
