16. Call for Marriage

"I'm just continuing your lies. You don't want to hurt your mother's feelings!!. I'm not to blame either!."

Lily took a pissed breath. After an unreasonable chat with her mother and sister a moment ago. They left for lunch.

They went to Palembang Square and had lunch there.

"How far have you told my mother that lie??." Lily asked in despair.

"How do we know each other, when do we date, how long, and what are our plans for our future as well as Rion."

"Mama.." Tell the little guy sitting in the baby chair. Lily stops her from feeding Arion when she hears Varo's answer.

The man again continued his explanation, "I answered honestly. We met at the hospital, because your help is that Rion survived. We've known each other for almost a year, and Rion used to call you mama. And the future plan depends on your decision. I will definitely adopt Rion into my son."

"....." Lily was silent for a long time. There was nothing strange about the man's answer. Then why did her mother suddenly talk about marriage.

"Your sister suddenly said she wanted to marry you, and then they started talking about it when you came. I'm just answering the truth that all the decisions are with you."

Lily sighed deeply, then pulled out her phone, she showed a WA message from her friend who accidentally met her this morning.

"Tito Akran, he's one of my old co-workers at my old workplace. We met in front of the hospital gate. We chatted about the past in the canteen, with the ending...She..wants to be in a relationship with me."

Varo reads the message on Lily's phone screen. Even within half a day, the man had already sent many messages telling the girl about himself.

Varo's gaze stopped at the last message the man had sent.

'I used to like you. Can we be closer than just friends??'

Varo put the phone on the table. "You forgot that yesterday Rion was supposed to be immunized."

"...What!!!." Lily rushes to open the baby bag and looks for Arion's health notebook and sure enough, the little one should have been immunized yesterday.

"I can't tolerate you forgetting such an important thing. Don't be in a relationship with anyone if you can't focus on what should be your priority!!."

That last word sounds like a threat.

"I've paid a lot for all that."

"...." - ".Lily looked at Rion, feeling guilty. "Why didn't you say yesterday?? ask the girl.

"You said I can't go to the hospital"

"I didn't say I was going there."

"But you went there today."

Varo smiled sinisterly before answering. "If it weren't for your lies to Mother, she wouldn't have recognized and invited me to see your sister."

"......"Lily closed her mouth again, who wanted to give an annoyed expression. "So why did you go to the Hospital??, is it just for Rion's immunization."

"Is there any other reason??. I'm not like a man who forgets his own son's health."

Lily picks up her phone, copies all the important schedules from Arion's health notebook and moves it to her phone, setting an alarm for all the important activities.

Varo doesn't want to go back to the hospital. The man wanted to walk around Palembang. So after they finished eating and of course bought new clothes for Arion again, Lily served as the man's guide.

"Ma'af.I'm not a person who likes to walk around. I don't know any good tourist spots. It's just a dry island and bird park." Lily asks ma'af while putting a kangaroo sling on Varo's body. "Later we can replace carrying it. This little guy's weight's definitely gaining."

Varo nodded without saying anything. The man took a selfie and made Lily surprised.

"Why?....can't you??" The man asked casually when he saw the shocked expression on Lily's face.

Lily had intended to ignore the man's new behavior, when almost every minute the man returned to take photos, whether they were on the way, or in places that looked good.

"At least tell me when you took the picture. My ugly looks are getting ugly in there." Lily finally commented.

Varo again smiled cynically. "I'm not sure you're taking photos. We went to geeran😏."

They're back at the hotel at 7 p.m. Lily intends to go back to her house, but Varo asks her to come back and eat together. The man had even booked another hotel room without Lily's knowledge and that upset the girl.

"Wasting!!. My house is only 5 minutes from here. I also cooked rice and side dishes this morning, who would eat them if I stay here."

Varo answered casually. "Then you can go home, take a shower and change your clothes, then come and bring everything you cook. We don't have to order food, so it's not wasteful!!."

Even the price of my food is not up to a quarter than a one-night stay at this hotel😒. I also have to take the fare back and forth. Absolutely loss!!!.

Lily glanced at Varo several times who looked busy with her phone while they were eating. There was even the occasional small smile that appeared on the cold face of the man.

But, as soon as Lily's phone rang and received the WA message notification, the girl no longer paid attention to Varo. He did not even realize now it was the man's turn to keep glancing at him with a suspicious look.

15 Minutes later. Lily feeds Arion a meal while teaching him to talk, while Varo just sits watching them.

"Eating..eating..." Lily repeated her words to Arion.

The little one repeated Lily's words with her adorable voice. "Kan-kan~kan-kan~"

"I can teach him better." The man finally sat next to Lily.

"I Love You..." The man's words made Lily almost laugh.

"Why did you even teach him such words???. He's too small to be a playboy."

Varo ignored Lily. He continued to talk to Arion, asking his nephew to repeat his words. "Try saying....I Love You~"

"I..wov.yu~" Arion actually repeated Varo's remark with his funny accent that inevitably made Varo and Lily smile happily.

The two were then busy teaching Arion a few words until the little guy yawned wide.

"....it's time for bed." Lily holds Arion while Varo puts a pillow on the bed.

15 minutes later, Arion is fast asleep, Lily puts him on the bed and approaches Varo who is sitting on the terrace of the hotel.

"If you have a lot to do, why come here??" The girl asked when she saw Varo was busy with her phone.

"So if there's no work, can I come here again??". Varo answered the girl's question with a question.

Lily just shrugged her shoulders. Both were silent for quite a while. Varo gets busy with his cell phone while Lily enjoys the night view in front of them.

"I'll tell Mommy tomorrow that we have nothing to do but work." Lily spoke again.

Varo just kept quiet and looked at the girl.

"So you don't have to bother helping me lie anymore either."

Varo took a deep breath. I don't know why he was upset to hear that statement. "I don't mind doing it."

Lily smiled. "I objected. I don't like lying to Mother, she must be hurt if this lie is found out. Mother.really wish I was married soon."

"If we stay married!"

"What!!!"

Varo glanced at Lily at a glance, then immediately turned over. "December. We're married!."

"....."Lily took a pissed breath. "Do you like me??"

"No!."

"....so why not get married???, you think marriage is a game, which just answers 'let' and then it all starts. Not that easy."

Varo took a deep breath. Now he focused on looking at the girl in front of him. "Remove the question again!" Pinta the man.

"Which question??"

"That before you answer at length."

"...."- ".Lily wanted to hit the man in front of her. "Do you like me??."

"No!!."

"No idea." Varo again said, this time there was a slight smile on his face. "I don't hate you for sure."😊
