Brak!
The sound of a loud table shake was heard. Lila and Cia were surprised instead of playing around when they saw Aliga pounding the table with non-playful force with their own heads. The two girls were afraid that after that table, Aliga's next target of fist was the smooth face of the two of them.
The same situation was also shown by the head of the magician academy. His face was deathly pale and sweat was flowing from his left temple. It is true what many students in this academy have said. Aliga, the dictator of all students, has shown his ability today.
But, after all, an academy head had to look dignified in front of his students. Therefore, the bald man tried to smile and force his friendly face to come out. "What's the matter, Aliga?"
"I don't want to run that race with them! They're just gonna be a burden to me, damn it!" yelled Aliga grimly. His face turned red and his eyes moved wildly. No one knew why Aliga was so angry when she realized that her partner in the red moon race was two junior mages that not even one of them could fly a broom.
But, unexpectedly Lila came forward and without the ba-bi-bu immediately floated her five fingers to Aliga's cheeks. Again, Cia fails to carry out her duty to restrain the girl from doing stupid things and potentially hasten the death of the girl herself.
Lila's slap managed to make the dictator wide open and open his mouth wide. The head of the academy went along gaping, while the two-headed girl behind him just kept quiet while sweating aggressively. Lila lowered her head and dark auras seemed to envelop her. A moment later, he grabbed the hair covering his eyes and raised his head.
"Who are you calling a burden, damn it?!" lila said with a cynical tone. He smiled, then continued, "I am not a burden. That's Cia's burden. Every day-ah no, almost every day he always asked me to accompany him wherever he went. Isn't that a burden, huh?"
Cia was surprised that there was no wind without rain, her name was brought to Lila's self-defense. It was like he was shouting and saying a thousand words to Lila. However, the brown haired girl was conscious. Serving Lila was the same as digging her own grave. He would not die from magic power or anything like that. He would die of stress after arguing with the caucasian girl.
"Oi, after all, you're still a burden to me." Unexpectedly, the black man replied to Lila's words with his argument that was one hundred percent true.
Not to be outdone, Lila replied, "no! I'm not a burden!" His eyes were teary as if he wanted to hold back the crying. However, the girl was still strong with her stance. It is not a burden, the burden is Cia, and no one can call it a burden. Those three important points were always circling around Lila's head to win this debate that out of nowhere could suddenly happen.
"You can fly a broom? And you, that girl over there, can you also fly a broom?" Aliga asked both Lila and Cia who were standing by the sofa. Cia nodded steadily as flying with a broom was a basic ability that every young magician should possess. So, such things were a very normal thing for him.
On the other hand, Lila was embarrassed. The fact that he couldn't fly a broom would definitely make him lose a crushing battle this time around. "I-I can fly a broom" he said stammeringly, "after all, that's the basis for every witch like us."
"Alright, at least you can fly a broom. I'll come along, but at least, give me a clear reason why you picked the three of us in this race. Plus, these two witches are still juniors and still have very little science about magic" he said, "well, now, please tell me your reasons or I won't be joining this race."
After being threatened like that, inevitably, the slippery-headed man who was sitting with a henchman on his pseudo throne was forced to answer his student's question. "The reason is because your grades are not enough to attend the graduation ceremony later," the man replied steadily.
"In addition, I also see there is tremendous potential in the three of you," the man continued with a sly smile.
"What kind of potential?"
"Eh? But Cia's grades are fine. Achievers, anyway. Why was he chosen?"
"Oi, oi, what kind of excuse is that?!"
Question after question was re-imagined by the three witches, just as they were first told by the head of the academy to take part in the magic race in order to commemorate the red moon ritual. The old man responded by forming a cross using his hand. "I won't tell you what kind of potential it is. All I know is, you will be taking the race in the Darkest Forest and you will have to prepare everything from now on.
"Now, go back to your classes and study as usual! But, if you don't want to, you'll voluntarily make a tumbar to clean the back of the academy's toilet that has not been cleaned for a long time by the janitor."
The orders and threats of the head of the academy were indeed unusually evil. Riled up, the three of them walked towards the exit and rushed towards their respective classes.
"Ah, yes. There, you also have the possibility to fight to the death with witches from other villages," said the man in a cynical tone after the last person walked out of his room.
"Be careful...."
