1001 Horror Story
Revenge from the Grave Realm

Whispers circulating in Hiamankyen, a small village in Ghana – Africa, Agbenyaga is a voodoo shaman. Whenever there is a death that cannot be found for its logical reason, the accusation goes directly to Agbyaga.

Of course, the accusation was never explicitly presented on the face of the Agency. But he could feel the gazes of the eyes of those who were suspicious, even frightened when he passed by her.

Agberyaga himself did not bother with the gossip. He never denied or denied it. It wasn't that he didn't care about his good name, or was afraid. He was sure the villagers would not swarm or attack his house. Some of them had secretly come to his house at night to ask for help, including the village chief.

The reputation of Agberyaga in the world of black magic is actually very famous. But he abstained from practicing his black magic to the residents of his own village. He always refuses subtly if anyone comes to harm the residents of Hiamankyen, and no one dares to fight his refusal.

Agbyaga simply did not want his fate to end horribly like Xetas who was burned by the villagers. Xetta was caught inhaling the blood of his victims. Tragically, the victim was Xetas own nephew.

That night, Xetas stood restlessly behind the curtains of the room. Inside the room, Xetas' sister-in-law was waiting for the birth of her first child. The presence of Xetas is unknown to anyone, including his own brother. No one else was in the house at the time.

The sound of a baby crying breaks the sepals of the night. Xetas is getting restless. The fishy smell of blood bubbling into the air perched on his nose, smelling like the scent of freshly harvested honey. All over Xetsa's body trembled, sweat pouring down from every pore in his body. His chest was like tightness, and his breathing felt heavy.

Unable to be restrained, Xetas stormed into the room. The baby boy who had just been born by his sister-in-law was immediately taken to the living room. Xetsa's eyes instantly turned red, and his pupils were thinning, similar to those of a savage beast.

The baby's mother and father arrived late. Upon entering the house, they were treated to a terrible sight. The red baby was already drowning lifelessly on the dining table, while Xetch's face and hands were covered in blood.

The father of the baby immediately fainted on the spot, while the baby midwife ran to the middle of the village while screaming hysterically. His voice woke the whole village.

As someone was commanding, all the villagers, especially the adult males, moved towards Xetas house. They carry machetes and torches, and do not miss the amulets that are believed to protect them from the evil power of voodoo.

Xetta was found hiding in her bedroom. He was immediately dragged out of the house to the village center field. Some people then ignite the torches they carry throughout the house. In just a few minutes, the wooden house turned into a giant bonfire.

Along the way, villagers hurled rocks at Xetas' body while blurting words. Even though he was in a state of urgency, Xetta still did not want to give up. Curse sentences, swearing and spells came out alternately from his mouth that had been bleeding.

In the middle of the field, Xetas was brought near a tree trunk. His mouth still berates, curses and curses. The villagers continued to stone her body. Suddenly, a large enough rock floated right into his head, causing Xetas to fall unconscious.

Some people then tied Xetch's body tightly to the tree trunk. The others prepared pieces of wood and placed them around the tree. They then massively poured kerosene on Xetas body.

The stinging smell of kerosene and the sudden coldness on his body made Xetas a roar. His eyes were fiercely staring at the people who swarmed him. Xetch opened his mouth wide, then out of his throat came a shrill cry that fell on his ears. Everyone spontaneously closed their ears.

One of the villagers ran up to Xetas with a torch and directly ignited a pile of wood that had been wet with kerosene. This was followed by other residents. They were picking up wood from different sides. The fire began to creep, and licked Xetas body.

Amidst the flames, Xetas laughed mockingly, as if humbling his enemies. The sound of laughter that made everyone glimps. One by one the villagers got out of the way, leaving Xetta who kept laughing before finally remaining silent for good. There was the sound of the rustling of fire that still burned the residue of Xetka's body.

Agbyaga observed the entire incident from a distance. In his heart he vowed not to make the same mistakes Xetas did. His experience studying voodoo since adolescence honed his ability to be patient and control his desires. Do not let him who is controlled by the desire to quench the thirst for blood.

In his age of about 60 years, Agbenyaga increasingly ‘bijak’ controls himself. He used to need fresh blood at least once a month. However, it had been over the past twenty years that he had managed to make it quite one in a month. It's just that he needs a bigger intake, more blood. Children and babies will not meet their needs. The best is teenagers.

One by one young people aged between 15 – 20 years in the villages around Hiamankyen disappear every month. Not many people will suspect the disappearance of the teenagers. Police said they fled to the city under pressure from poverty.

Agwenyaga also continued to try to find the safest way to hunt his victims. Turning yourself into a beast-like creature was no longer an intelligent act. The village guards who caught him would easily finish off through the spell they spoke. Already three voodoo shamans died this way. A voodoo shaman who is transformed into another creature to hunt prey is in the weakest condition so it will be very easy to be destroyed. In addition, the incarnation process went very painful and too slow.

Agbyaga went to his backyard and got ready to try out his new skills. His mouth moved to cast a spell that he had not long made.

Blahyam! Wuuuush!

In front of Agbenaga appeared a pitch-black fog. He took about ten steps back. The black fog now looked similar to a pile of earth or rocks.

Perfect.

The agency repeated several times, making sure everything went as expected.

Two days before the sidereal month, Agnenaga began to prepare all the necessities because he had to walk far out of the village. The destination is the Kbandai junction on Jalan Raya Binda – Kete Krachi which is about 70 km from his home.

The awaited time has arrived. After sunset, Agnenaga left her cottage, and walked sneaking between the shadows of trees and shrubs. Of course, he avoided the streets that people were commonly passing by. He was not at all afraid of snakes or venomous insects that used to hide among the branches of trees and bushes. Agbyaga is more afraid of humans who have the same abilities as him. They will easily detect its purpose in the open.

Agberyaga had to walk for almost a day overnight before finally arriving at his destination. After observing several locations, Agbenyaga chose a spot that is ideal. The left and right sides of the road were filled with thorny bushes, and were on a straight path. The vehicle will certainly go at a fairly high speed. And when you see ‘piles of stone’ his creation on the streets, it will all be very late.

Patiently he waited behind the bush until the traffic became more and more quiet. By midnight, the passing vehicles were few.

After making sure there were no vehicles or humans passing by, Agbenyaga came out of hiding. The potion liquid from inside the bottle was poured onto the streets. He started chanting the already perfected spell. In an instant a thick black fog appeared, and Agnenaga went back to hiding behind the thorny bush.

Time seemed to run very slowly before finally the ears Agbenaga caught the roar of the motorbike from a distance. He immediately got ready. Like a wild animal that was stalking prey, Agbenaga patiently waited for the victim to enter his trap.

A courier was on his way home to the town of Tamale after delivering goods to the village of Burai. As a result of the motorbike that had broken down, he was too late to leave even though the distance traveled was more than 180 km. However, he must return tonight to Tamale so that tomorrow he can still enter work. This was his first job at a decent wage. He can't get fired.

The courier drove the bike as fast as possible. He was grateful that it was the dry season, so the road conditions were dry even though it was a bit dusty so he had to repeatedly wipe the glass helmet, cleaning the dust attached. This he did while still speeding on the motor. When his hand had just finished wrapping the helmet protective glass, he was shocked half dead. In front of him lay a tall pile of stones. As quickly as possible he pulled the brake lever on the handlebar of his motor.

Ciiiiit! The squeaking sound of the wheels on the asphalt tore the silence of the night.

The courier's body was thrown into the air several meters away and slammed violently on the street. Both of his legs were broken, but he was still alive. With the help of his two hands, he attempted to creep towards his rolled motor.

Agberyaga who was still standing behind the thorny bush came straight out of hiding after being convinced no other car or motorcycle was approaching. He then squatted in front of his prospective victims who were crawling on the asphalt.

The headlight of the motor that can still be lit gives a little lighting in the middle of the night darkness. Agbyaga observed the young man who kept creeping without realizing what was before him.

The young victim Agbenyaga was surprised to see a pair of legs that looked more like large claws were already in front of him. He's looking up. What he saw made every single nerve vein in his body wrinkle in fear.

A long-haired creature with glowing red eyes, widened wide while its pupils blackened. The creature's mouth grinned so wide that it saw all of its gleaming pointy teeth, including four fangs. A stench emanated from his body.

The young man no longer screamed. Suddenly everything was black and dark. Agbyaga knelt down to complete his mission. When he finished, he left while carrying a motorbike to hide.
