1001 Horror Story
Old Toilet Part 7

I, Ismail, Mr. Andre was in the car looking left right. We were walking down the road I used to walk when I got home from school. Mr. Lukman deliberately brought the car slowly to allow us all to check the people on the streets more thoroughly.

Daniel himself went straight home, contacted his parents after hearing an explanation from Mr. Andre. I don't know if she'll tell me about the case of the missing girls to them.

We've gone three laps on our usual way home, but there's no trace of Doris there. I got to memorize the faces of street vendors there. And it does not look there are students in high school uniforms on the streets from earlier.

“Is it possible that Doris actually just went to the mall?” ishmael asked, trying to calm things down.

To be honest, in my heart I also wish he had just stopped by the mall. Or maybe at a friend's house. Keep the phone lowbat, so can not be contacted. Maybe in the afternoon he will return to his home again, but because of the explanation of Mr. Andre earlier. Then the photo was found in the toilet behind the school again. All this shattered my hopes.

“It looks like there will be no progress. I suggest Mr. Lukman look through the car. We scatter here and just search,” advice Mr. Andre.

Ismail and I agree. The three of us got out of the car and split up. I guessed a place he might have gone. I ran towards the small mall in the area. While searching, I initiative the phone one by one of Doris' friends. Maybe one of them is with him.

“Hi Irma, is Doris with you now? No? Do you know who she is with now? Or did you see him this afternoon? Not yeah.. Oh.. Ok. That anu. Doris is missing. Uhh.. No-no-no, we don't know where he is yet. So, later if there is news of Doris where, tidakin well. Thanks..”.

And then I called one by one. I know, a phone like this will make the situation even worse. But inevitably. The more people look, the better.

I saw a dress shop. Browse every corner in the clothing department store. From the floor that sells men's clothing, women's clothing, children's clothing, none of which I miss. I look like a dazed man looking for a way home. I turn it here and there. I even passed through the area selling women's underwear. Later when I meet Doris, I may be going to tell the story of this ridiculous incident.

I went to the foodcourt at the mall. There I found Ishmael also busy searching. I approached him directly.

“Jef, is there any progress?” ask her as soon as she sees me.

I just shook my head. My esophagus is so dry. I wanted to buy a drink after calling a dozen of Doris's friends. But my heart felt this was not the right time to buy a drink. Doris must be found first. Just looking for another.

“Did you try to contact Felix?” ask Ishmael suddenly.

I'm appalled. Probably because I didn't even think of trying to reach him. Besides, I don't have his phone number. The ones who have should be Daniel and Ismail. “No, I did not contact him... You tried to contact him?”

“Honestly not yet. I'm worried, if I call him, he'll suspect we're looking for Doris...” replied Ismail.

“No! Nah! I think I can try calling him. You call him. We pretend we don't know about Doris. You find a way to know where he is! Fast!” answer me quickly.

Yes, why not think of me! We don't know where Doris is going. But at least if we can track where Felix is. Doris might be there, right?

“Lo says you look for him to talk about photos, called Principal. The three of us were called Mr. Lukman. If we allude to the photo, maybe he will be interested,” I explained my plan to Ismail who was busy pressing keys on his phone screen.

He waits. Waiting. And Waiting. A while later he stared at his screen and then re-pressed his keys. And wait again.

“What's up? He didn't lift it?”

Ishmael just shook his head. He stuck the phone to his ear while looking at the distance. Looking for Doris who might be sitting at one of the foodcourt tables. The afternoon hours of this foodcourt were quiet. So honestly we already knew there was no Doris there. But we are still trying to scan the whole area. Who knew he was out of the toilet?

There was no sign of anyone picking up Ismail's phone.

I started to despair. Is it possible that Felix accidentally closed his phone? So we don't know his position? Maybe he was busy

Suddenly Ismail spoke, “Halo, Felix?”

I immediately looked up at Ismail. He pressed the loudspeaker button so I could hear him. We sat down in one of our closest food courts.

“Umm. Gini Felix, where are you? I'd like to meet you.”

“Eh? What if tomorrow? You see, I had to teach math again,” Felix replied. I feel like he is trying to answer carefully.

“Oh, just a minute. You see I have a very curious thing,” continued Ismail.

“Hm, the most story is here?” felix.

“Ah.. Anu it's hard to talk through HP. Be stuck. You tutoring where the hell. I samperin lo there only.” said Ismail.

“...” Felix stayed there without answering.

“Felix? How?” ask Ishmael again.

“…. Alright. We met at Jln. Terrain. You know the math tutoring place near the grocery store right? We met there, yeah. I am now there.”

“Ok, sip! See you Felix,” Ismail said cheerfully.

“Ok.” And the connection was cut.

“Succeed. We got through to Felix. I think it's time we go there Jef.”

“Iya. I think so.” My feelings of tension, fear, nervousness all mixed into one. My brain turned back hard. Would Felix be suspicious if we called him all of a sudden? If he goes to a math course, then we'll never know where he was this afternoon, right? But at least if we find him, we can force him to speak. Even if it has to be violent.

We both intend to contact Mr. Lukman and Mr. Andre. Unfortunately, we don't have their cell phone number. Maybe everything is too panicked, so it does not occur to exchange mobile numbers. We were just told to regroup at the scatter point at 3 a.m.

Finally it was decided Ismail would return to the gathering point waiting for Mr. Andre and Mr. Lukman. I'll call Daniel to take him with me to see Felix. I explained to Daniel our strategy for finding Doris via Felix. At least this will bring progress. Daniel strongly agreed. He became excited again. We promised to meet at one point before we met Felix at the maths desk.

I met Daniel in front of a pharmacy not far from the course institute. Daniel tells her that he has reported to his parents about Doris who cannot be contacted. But they don't really believe Doris is missing. Doris does sometimes go to a friend's house or mall after school and come home late in the afternoon. So they just broadcast a message to all friends and relatives if they see Doris to be notified.

We both walked straight to the course. From a distance Felix was standing outside waiting for us. Without a word Daniel ran there. I was a bit surprised Daniel suddenly became violent.

Felix looked very surprised and at the same time confused. Not yet he answered Daniel had hit Felix's face.

I arrived late. I saw the people in the course directly arrest Daniel. Damnit. If Felix finds out why we're looking for him and escapes, everything's gonna go awry. I went straight to Felix.

“You're okay, right?”

Felix looked at me. It seems he is scared. “Eng...Nothing...What's wrong with him?”

I was silent for a moment. Why does he look confused? Why does he seem to know nothing. I turned to Daniel who was still rebelling, but was arrested by three men. It's not going anywhere if Daniel's like this. “Daniel! Calm yourself!”

I turned back to Felix. “Anu, today you were last together with Doris right?”

“He? Yes, I went home with him. It just so happens that he went down first. What happened to Doris?”

Daniel was finally released after he calmed down somewhat. Angrily unbearable he invited me and Felix to go to another place that was more somewhat quiet. The three of us walked across and entered one of the shophouse complex alleys.

“You better tell me the truth or I hit you Felix!” hiss Daniel. It seems he is still very angry.

“I don't understand. Really. Last afternoon I was with Doris an angkot. But he went down first. I don't know where he's going. Seriously!”

“He got off where?” ask me.

“She got off in front near the mall that is on Sudirman Street. You know that mall. Maybe he's there? I really don't know where he's going.” Felix replied like he was almost crying.

That's the mall that Ismail and I were looking for Doris. I try to investigate further. “Ok.. Ok.. Did you see anything strange. Does he have a story to you? Before he got off the angkot?”

Felix tried to think hard.

“You better answer honestly,” Daniel again clenched his hand.

“Anu. Don't know where, maybe at the mall?”

“Who did he meet? Doris has a story?” ask me again.

“Erm.. It doesn't seem like a” Felix said.

“Woi! You better answer honestly!” Daniel pulled Felix's shirt back. I hurriedly held Daniel.

“Bener.. bener... for God's sake..” Felix said scared half to death.

“Where were you last afternoon? Answer!”

“Today afternoon..last noon..I bought a book in a bookstore on Sudirman Street. That's why I rode an angkot in line with Doris.”

Daniel grinned. “I happen to have the phone number of the store owner, Felix. You better fuck me. I can ask the owner.”.

“Call only. I'm not lying..”

I didn't think Daniel had the phone number of the bookstore owner. We used to buy books there because they were near our house. But if Felix really buys books there means he has an alibi that he didn't kidnap Doris right?

Daniel finished the call, and his face looked unhappy.

“How?” I asked him.

“True Felix got there,” replied Daniel exasperated. Maybe he understood, too, which means Felix wasn't the culprit.

I feel sorry that Felix was slandered like that. So I apologized, and retold a glance to him, “You still remember this morning we told about the photo of the woman who was black, right? So this afternoon at the secretary's office, we explained that the black-spidol photos were the missing victims. And unexpectedly, a photo of Doris was also found by Mr. Andre earlier. That's why we're misting.”

“Oh.. But I don't know about it..” Felix replied. He was silent for a moment then continued, “I don't know if this is the right time or not. Could it be Mr Andre?” Ask Felix suddenly.

Daniel and I looked at him.

“I mean, you still remember ‘kan? That night of the week. There was a female ghost who followed him at the time in the back toilet. If Mr Andre wasn't the culprit, why was there a female ghost there when he appeared?”

What he said made sense..

“And again, you said Mr. Andre found a photo of Doris in the back toilet. So...”

“So maybe he put it down and pretended to find it?” I'm trying to understand Felix. “But it is impossible. We were looking for Doris. And..”

My heart stopped for a moment. We were told to split up by Mr. Andre.

Mr. Andre could have done anything when we split up! I pulled out my phone and called Ismail.

“Ismail! Have you guys gathered?”

“Eh.. Already, just stay Mr. Andre anyway. I don't know where he's going. Mr. Lukman again phone him.” Ismail said across the phone.
