Dead lights

It was getting dark, Jura and Ralvin said goodbye to Sherin. Before leaving, Jura hugged her sister and kissed her forehead.

"Part yourself well. Later brother will often look at you. Inget, the medicine is taken so that the fever is cured" Jura said.

Sherin smiled and nodded. She was so happy that her sister was so caring and considerate.

Ralvin took a step forward after Jura backed off.

"Why what?" ask Sherin.

"You want to say goodbye to Jura" Ralvin said with a smile.

"Dream" Sherin said as she took a step back.

Jura nudged Ralvin's ear from behind, "Don't macem-macem. Shall I kick it?".

"Sir Ralvin over time became more and more like Calvin deh. Start flirtatious" Sherin grumbled.

"Yes, we left first. Calvin might be home soon. Do not forget to close the door, close the window, before going to bed take medicine, brush your teeth, wash your face, use a blanket..."

"Bawel" said Sherin cutting off Ralvin's remarks.

After saying goodbye, Jura and Ralvin left in Ralvin's car. Maybe later Ralvin will take Jura to Jura's house first, then he went home.

Sherin was watching a dangdut concert that was broadcast every night by one of the television stations. Although Sherin prefers the genre of pop music, but he still loves the original genre of Indonesia.

Sherin faintly heard a bajaj sound from outside the house. Over time the sound got louder. He believes it is Calvin's bajaj. Without caring, Sherin focused again on listening to the sound of a cool dangdut kendang.

The door of Sherin's rented house was knocked, she was sure it was Calvin. With a lazy Sherin opened the door.

"Hmm not sleeping?" calvin was standing at the door.

"Not yet, if I'm asleep I can't open the door" Sherin replied lazily.

"Occustomed to answer. Here, I brought porridge, as promised this afternoon" said Calvin.

Sherin stared at the white plastic bag that Calvin was proffering from. Turns out Calvin cares for her, even remembering about what she said this afternoon that would buy Sherin some porridge.

Sherin takes a white plastic bag out of Calvin's hand. He smiled a little.

"Thank you. Yes, go home there. It's malem".

Calvin was smiling. His eyes stared at the television screen behind Sherin. His smile grew wider.

"It turns out you like dangdut yes, I think you like pop or hip-hop like K-Pop" Calvin said of the broadcast Sherin watched.

"Why indeed? Can't you?".

"Not that, most girls today like to pop the same" Calvin said without removing a smile.

"Work of the homeland must be upheld dong. Yes, I like pop, but I love dangdut" Sherin said.

"Good, steady your answer. But I don't like both" Calvin said.

"Keep what?" ask Sherin.

"Like you".

"The base of the gombal under the guise of a driver."

Sherin will close the door without excuse, but it's being held by Calvin.

"When it rains, don't forget to lock the same window. If you need, you can get a candle in my house" Calvin said.

"There's no need to. What are candles for? Wanna mop?" said Sherin.

"Well, if you don't need it. Have you taken your medicine yet?" ask Calvin again.

"Kepo. I took medication. Come on, I'm sleepy. It's good that you take a shower first, the smell of sweat" Sherin said as she pushed Calvin away from the door.

"Fruit roses time" said Calvin with a smile.

"Fruit of frangipani flowers yes".

"Am I a ghost? Eh but it is, the ghost that always haunts your mind" Calvin even mengombal.

Sherin put on a pouting face. Without warning, Sherin shut the door. Once he was sure Calvin was gone from behind the door. Sherin immediately smiled to herself. For some reason now he was a little embarrassed as Calvin continued to overhaul him. Could it be because of the attention Calvin gave? Or because his heart is happy? Whatever it is, Sherin's still happy.

The rain started to fall hard. Sherin, who had been sleeping on the bed wrapped in a blanket, looked at the wall clock. The clock shows at 9:00 p.m. This time Sherin slept alone at home. I don't know why he suddenly felt scared. But what can be done, now no one can help him.

Sherin tries to close her eyes to go to sleep quickly, she can't wait to welcome tomorrow morning so that this fear is gone. When she opened her eyes, Sherin felt strange. Why is everything dark? Is he dreaming? But the sound of rain and lightning was still clearly heard. A few seconds later, he realized that the lights were off.

"Dead lights? Aaa!…" Sherin screamed in fear.

Sherin hates being called dark. She was traumatized because when she was 7, her mother kept her locked up all night in the bathroom and her mother turned off the bathroom lights until it was pitch black.

His fear grew even more when he heard the sound of lightning. Without thinking, Sherin got out of bed and tried to get out of the room. It's all dark, Sherin's trying to find the table where she put the keys to the house. After obtaining it, Sherin immediately searched the exit of the room.

The living room was also very dark. Luckily, Sherin was able to get out of the house. Thanks to a flash of lightning, Sherin manages to spot Calvin's rented pingu.

Sherin banged on the door hard. He kept shouting for Calvin to open the door as soon as possible.

Shortly after, Calvin opened the door. Never thought, Sherin hugged her so tightly.

"I'm scared".

Calvin's hand slowly hugged Sherin's body back at the height of his chest. Looks like Sherin's crying.

"Udah, it's okay. There I am" said Calvin, calming.

"Let's go in, a lot of wind that comes in later the candle dies.".

Calvin's house was lit by candlelight. Sheri sits next to Calvin because he is still afraid. Calvin just smiled at Sherin's face that was terrified because it was dark.

"I told you, I don't want to use candles".

"Udah diem, don't even turn it on. I'm scared again" Sherin said.

"Yes you have slept in my room there, let me sleep here" Calvin said.

"Wouldn't" Sherin replied briefly.

Calvin rounded his eyes, "So you want us to sleep in one room? I can't, I'm afraid of khilaf".

Sherin snapped Calvin's head, "That's not what it meant. I sleep on this couch, you sleep on that couch".

Calvin was embarrassed because he guessed wrong. Without much protest Calvin agreed.

Calvin went to his room to pick up two pillows and a blanket.

"Now, put on the blanket" said Calvin giving the blanket to Sherin.

"Thank you".

They both slept in the living room.
