Chapter 6 Story of Yasmin's Past

In the afternoon Yasmin came home from campus in between Juan on a motorcycle.

"Let's go, baby" Yasmin said pointing to the house.

"Not to baby...I'll just go home. It's late afternoon, not good as Uncle Rudi" said Juan who was ready to go home.

Juan also propelled his big bike. After seeing Juan leave. Yasmin then went inside the house. Inside the house Mr. Rudi was sitting in the guest room waiting for Yasmin to come home. Yasmin's voice came from outside.

"I lkanaaaang.." he shouted from the outside. "dad why sit here" Yasmin was surprised to see her father from earlier just silence.

"Sit down Yas.ayah wants to talk seriously with you" Pinta Pak Rudi.

Yasmin sat down and looked at her father in wonder.

"What is this, only this time I look very serious. I was afraid to see it, as if something big was going to happen", in Yasmin's heart.

"I'm sorry Yas's father, now I can't protect you anymore" said Mr. Rudi.

Yasmin was shocked to hear her father apologize, because all this time her father had never apologized to her.

"Dad why should I apologize to Yas" said Yasmin who was confused to see her father.

"Dad tried to keep you away and hide you from that person but still he found you" Mr. Rudi explained to his son.

"What dad said. Which guy, why do you look so scared?" ask Yasmin curiously.

"Dad will tell you all of your past that you've been hiding for a long time" said Mr. Rudi.

"What past did you hide from me?" ask Yasmin.

Mr. Rudi also told me about Yasmin's past.

"Why does their family want to adopt me?"ask Yasmin firmly.

"Your grandfather and Mr. Chandra were very friendly. Since your grandfather died Mr. Chandra has been taking care of the father like his own son" explained Mr. Rudi.

"Continue..what next?" ask Yasmin.

"Sir Chandra told dad that he and your grandfather had a matchmaking agreement. Dad had to marry his daughter but he was silent - married to your mother in France. When you return to Indonesia, you are already in the womb. Mr. Chandra can do nothing at all as penance for breaking the covenant. I have to hand you over to their families" explained Mr. Rudi.

Yasmin had thought that her father must have been visited by their family because his father had told her everything.

"So who makes fathers like this because fathers meet their families?", asked Yasmin.

"Not just meet but they want to take you away from dad and dad can't do anything. You can only be helpless because they are very powerful in S City" replied Mr. Rudi.

"Dad don't worry, if they come, I will fight them" Yasmin said.

"Alright..then go to your room to rest. You must be tired from campus" said Mr. Rudi.

Yasmin then stood up and walked towards her room.

"I'm sorry dad couldn't tell you that you're married to someone you don't love" Mr. Rudi said.

In the room, Yasmin threw her body while thinking about everything her father told her.

"Soddy.what do they want from me. Ah already..mending just sleep instead of thinking it" muttered to himself while putting his hand in his eyes.
