Wish It Was Cinderella

Wish It Was Cinderella
You who??

I've been here for a week, nothing has changed in my life. Vina still likes to snap, Yasmin who is small but big also do the same thing. Al, until now he was reluctant to look at me, what is my fault with him? So he wouldn't see me at all.

That morning as usual I prepared the food at the table, Al and Vina were already sitting there. But I didn't see Yasmin, could she not have woken up from her sleep?

"Where is Yasmin?" I looked towards Al and Vina.

"Maybe it's still in the room" Al replied while fixing his tie.

I left Al and Vina to go to Yasmin's room. I knocked on his door 3 times and opened it without waiting for an answer from him. I'm afraid something has happened to her, even though she hates me.

It turned out to be true, Yasmin was crying on her bed. Why would he? I tried to sit by his bed. Yasmin was aware of my arrival, but she was not angry when I sat there.

"Do you need a friend to talk to?" I asked slowly trying to negotiate with the youngest in this family.

"I also used to have no friends to talk to, it's claustrophobic to have a problem but don't know who to talk to." I kept trying to talk to Yasmin.

"Brug!" Suddenly he hugged me, to the surprise of a big bear.

I returned his embrace.

I didn't think that Yasmin's reaction would be like this to me, she hugged without speaking. I slowly stroked her long, thin hair. This was the first time I felt a hug from someone else, it turned out just like him I also needed a hug. It feels so comfortable.

"Yasmin has a problem? Can you tell?" I asked to remain in a gentle tone, so that he would not take offense and change the mood of his monster back.

Yasmin told me that she had her first period today. I smiled and explained to her that it was a natural thing, because all women would feel the same way. I told her that she was now a grown woman, and that there were many things she should not do when she became friends with her male friends.

In the past I was confused when I had to talk to whom, I cried myself to Papa who had to explain. He said, I should be able to take care of myself, not to fall into bad things.

Yasmin seems to be improving. I told her to rush to the bathroom, and promised to provide a sanitary pad for her. And he asked me to keep this a secret to his two brothers. Maybe with Vina I can, but not with Al, because he'll ask about how his sister is doing every time he comes home from work.

"How's Yasmin, why are you guys so long?" al asked, curious about what I had done in Yasmin's room, this time Al looked at me deeply and worriedly.

Hooray.... I can finally see those eyes.

I shook my head and smiled, then sat down to eat with them.

"I walk, brother," said Vina standing with her school bag.

Vina still ignored my whereabouts, she said I was caper, wanted her brother's treasure and she said all bad things when I advised her. Whatever you say Vina, I definitely don't have the intention she mentioned earlier.

Now that Al and I are both back, he doesn't see me at all. Yasmin came in with a more moody state than usual. Al was confused to see the change of his sister.

"Are you okay, deck?" Al asked his younger brother.

"I'm good, Brother. Just a little stomach ache," replied Yasmin with a slightly lethargic face.

"Yes breakfast first, then Kak Al deliver to school, yes!" pinta Al on Yasmin.

Yasmin replied with a nod. When I wanted to continue eating, my phone suddenly rang, I saw a call with a new number, who was it?

"Laila, you go home right now! Or Momy selling your Papa's old motorcycle!!" Threaten Mommy from there.

"Momy wait for Momy.." I asked her yelling reflexively to remind Momy, but I forgot that I was still at the dinner table with Yasmin and Al.

"Sorry everyone, excuse me," I said as I got up from my chair and went to the back to continue the conversation with my stepmother.

"Momy please Mommy, I'll go home. Don't sell your favorite motorcycle. I beg you," I cried when I felt safe and sure no one was listening.

"Then go home now" hardened Momy behind her phone.

"Yes Momy, I'm home." My voice sounded quivering, I will not let all of Papa's memories be sold.

I closed the phone in a panic, when I turned around, Al was already in front of me. How long has he been standing there? Did he hear everything I said?

"Who are you really?" tanya Al looked at me deeply with her sharp eyes that I liked.

"I... L'm... Maid, hehehe..," I replied doubtfully.

"I can't believe you're a liar. I'd like to talk to you this afternoon, after I get home from work." Al said so seriously and wanted to leave me.

"I won't be here this afternoon!" I shouted as he turned his back to leave.

"you mean? You're gonna get out of here? You still owe me you remember?" Al came back to me.

"I know, but take it easy I'll change it for another year, how?" I asked him to clean up, hopefully he would understand.

"No, it's too long."

"You may withhold all my identity, but please let me go home because there is something I have to do. I promise after that I'll be back." I tried to convince Al.

I could have left without her permission, but it felt unethical. I'm coming well, then it should be permission well too. If I say something like this, if I have a problem coming back, I can run here again. At least have a backup plan.

"Well if that's what you want, and make sure you'll be back before I get home later that afternoon." Al gave up and wanted to do what I wanted.

"Ok, ready, boss. I'll be back home before the boss gets there." I was excited to convince him.

That's also if I survive, Al, because my stepmother could have eliminated me forever. I don't know what their plans are either.

I was preparing to tidy up the room and some clothes I was carrying. It looks like I'm going back to this house again, so I left some college books here. When all have departed with their respective activities, I also farewell with Mbok Sum.

Before I left, I had enough pads for Yasmin. I knew she wouldn't tell anyone else if today was her first period, and she must be ashamed to ask others for it.

A week of living here is sad enough, maybe this is not my home. But Aki already felt used to the state of this house.

The Al family who had a wasteful look, but did not give up their good looks and facial beauty. Mbok Sum is so good, and the cuisine is delicious. Makes Laila feel better here than at home
