As usual, Laila returned to live her day without Good. There was a void that Laila felt after a week of spending time with Nice. Laila felt something was missing inside her.
"Mom, breakfast first." Bi Sumi prepared breakfast on the table.
Laila simply smiled without touching the breakfast Bi Sumi prepared. Not interested in the food in front of him. Though the breakfast menu was his request since last night.
The rice that Laila asked for deliberately Bi Sumi bought from the market. But after the nasi uduk was presented, it seemed like Laila's taste had changed. Bi Sumi was not angry. It was just that Bi Sumi was worried about Laila's state.
Since Bagus left again for Jakarta, Laila's appetite is getting worse. Every time Laila ate, Laila would feel sick and vomit. After that, Laila rarely eats. The reason for being afraid of vomiting again.
"Mom, if you don't eat pity on the baby." Bi Sumi reminded.
"If eating becomes nauseous Bi," replied Laila.
"Later in the afternoon we go to the midwife, let's ask for vitamins. Aunty is worried" said Bi Sumi.
"There is also vitamin Bi. It'sit's okay. I just nauseated. Auntie said this is natural," said Laila.
Bi Sumi does understand how women get pregnant in the first trimester. But upon seeing Laila with everything she felt, Bi Sumi became worried. Because Laila not only feels cravings, but also feels lonely when away from her husband.
"Mom, if you need a storymate I'm always ready. Don't worry about it!" said Bi Sumi.
"Yes Bi" replied Laila.
Bi Sumi returned to the kitchen. Leaving behind Laila who was still sitting pensively. His face was not happy at all. Looks lethargic and tired when not much activity he did.
After getting a call from Bagus, Laila was just seen eating the already cold rice. Her joy grew after Hasna and Kayla returned home. The existence of both makes Laila a little forget about her loneliness.
From the kitchen Bi Sumi noticed Laila's behavior. Seeing that Laila was already smiling, Bi Sumi also smiled. There was relief in Bi Sumi's heart seeing Laila not daydreaming anymore.
"Bi, I'm going to the store first!" laila.
"Well, it's noon ma'am. Not tomorrow?" ask Bi Sumi.
"That's Mr. Basuki to the store. He said he wanted to see you" replied Laila.
"Let's take me with you" said Bi Sumi.
"No need. Aunty here just keep Hasna with Kayla. I'm the same Mr. Broto, '" said Laila.
The security guard at his house who doubles as a motorcycle taxi driver wherever Laila wants. Just until the parking lot, Mr. Broto returned home. While Laila immediately entered his room and met Mr. Basuki.
"Sorry old sir" said Laila.
"It's okay Mom. I'm sorry I didn't go to my mother's house" Mr. Basuki said.
"It's better to meet here sir if the order matters," replied Laila.
"Why? Afraid someone might get angry?" ask Mr. Basuki.
"Not angry, sir. I'm just worried that my husband misunderstood me" Laila replied.
"Husband?" asked Mr. Basuki in surprise.
"Yes. Why why?" ask Laila.
"Son, I think Mom's a widow. How come her husband was never seen?" ask Mr. Basuki.
"I am not a widow, sir. I have a husband. My husband works in Jakarta" replied Laila while holding back her annoyance.
"Oh so! But when I go home there are no pictures of him? I only see photos of the children of mothers, just" said Mr. Basuki.
Gosh darn. I want to kick this guy. That's a snout. Don't know what makes a heartache? You freak. I have no heart.
"Yes Sir. A picture of my husband was displayed in the room" Laila said.
Laila had already clenched her hand. Afraid that his emotions overflowed as Pak Basuki continued to babble. Reveals her surprise when she finds out Laila has a husband.
"Oh yes already if that's the greeting with her husband yes. Excuse me. Thank you for your time, ma'am" said Mr. Basuki.
"Yes Sir. Same" said Laila.
After all her dealings with Mr. Basuki were done, Laila immediately went home. He only looked into the soup kitchen for a moment and then said goodbye. Initially Laila intended to help the chef work on Pak Basuki's order. But after that incident, Laila had already lost her mood.
"Sorry to Chef. I can't help today. Tomorrow morning I'm here again" said Laila.
"It's okay Mom. I can handle today's work" replied the Chef.
Laila's leaving soon. Although he knew that Chef was overwhelmed with work today, Laila could not help. When he was in the kitchen with bad circumstances, Laila would only make things worse.
"Home home yet?" ask Hasna.
"Mama cape's. Rest first!" answer Hasna.
Bi Sumi immediately brought Hasna. Invite him to play and try to make him forget Laila's cold attitude to him. Laila was seen moving away as Hasna tried to approach her. The usual thing Laila does when she feels something is not good.
After the affair with Hasna was finished, now Bi Sumi knocked on Laila's room door. Bring her a glass of warm tea so that Laila can be calmer. Long Laila ignored Bi Sumi's call until finally the door was opened.
"Mom, this is hot tea." Bi Sumi keeps warm tea on the nightstand.
"Thank you Bi" said Laila.
Laila sat on the edge of the bed. Bi Sumi was still standing near Laila and massaging her shoulders. Makes Laila a little comfortable with the mummification felt today.
"Mother why?" ask Bi Sumi.
"I was mistaken for Bi's widow," Laila replied with a frown.
"Huh? Same who?" ask Bi Sumi.
"Just like Mr. Basuki," replied Laila annoyed.
Bi Sumi held back a laugh. To be honest, Bi Sumi was different from Laila. When considered a widow, Bi Sumi was not as sad as Laila. Seeing Laila angry and pouting like that, Bi Sumi actually felt it was funny. But he could not laugh in front of Laila.
The old thing repeated again. When Laila was once thought to be a widow with two children who were actually her nephew, now Laila is again mistaken for a widow when her husband is rarely at home.
"Kok Aunty diem anyway?" ask Laila.
"It's okay. Don't listen to what the people say. Let them think of a widowed mother, but really a mother has a husband and is happy." Bi Sumi calmed Laila down.
"But it's just Kesel Bi. My cape was counted by widows as ignorant people. Kesel," replied Laila.
"Yes, Mom, I understand. I drink first let it calm down, " Bi Sumi said.
