Chapter 29's

Nick drove Jessica to his house. There was not a word on the way out of Jessica's mouth. In front of her house Jessica also still remained silent making Nick who had to open his voice first.

"Jessica" call.

"I—"

Jessica looked into Nick's eyes, "Om come home late at night don't leave Matthew alone anymore" she said.

"But you—"

"I don't know" cut Jessica off again.

Nick lowered his head, "Sorry Jes" he said softly.

Jessica just shut up and turned around and went into the house without waiting for Nick to leave the house like when Nick had visited before.

While inside Jessica smothered her own mouth so that her crying voice could not be heard right behind the door. Nick, who can't do anything, decides to go home. Nick can't bother Jessica if she wants to be alone.

Jessica could hear the sound of a car turning on until it finally stayed away inaudible. That's where the crying broke.

Nick decides to clean himself up and goes downstairs to see the faithful Matthew watching his favorite cartoon show.

"Matt!" call him.

Matthew looked over, "What's wrong?"

"What are you going to eat tonight?" bargained for.

Matthew again stared at the tv screen, "whatever papa, Matt nudged"

Nick breathed slowly. Even his own son was still cold to him.

Rani, who usually goes straight when something goes wrong with her friend, is inexplicably afraid this time to wonder about yesterday's events that keep Jessica from going to work.

Jessica immediately stepped over to the customer who had just sat on the desk bench.

Jessica's break time also chose silence to make Rani confused looking for a good conversation topic at hearing at least can make Jessica back to normal but it's also difficult if Jessica herself is not in this mood.

Rani cleared her throat a few times, "Jes, what did you bring today?"

Jessica remained silent.

"Oh vegetable soup tuh. It's good to eat vegetable soup with tempe" he said again.
