"Sir Jim. I trust Rayan to you! This is the last incident. Don't let anyone hurt my sister again."
"Good, Sir."
Dave then flipped his body and walked towards Rinjani who kept crying. I don't know what he's crying about. While his mother faithfully embraces him with a tough face despite being crushed melted in his heart is very felt. Just imagine, what he knew today was painful and the pain could not be explained by anything, even with a cry.
"Rinjani's. Did I make you cry? For the first time I said sorry to someone else. Sorry for opening up a reality that may be wrong in your eyes, wrong also in your eyes. My heartache right now is much more painful than the pain you are feeling right now. A snatched childhood, a life without parents, and having to work hard for myself. I'm sure you'll feel and understand being me without you having to experience the same thing as me. I won't say much, I just want to give you a message. If you don't want to take care of our child please don't throw it away, just give it to Mr. Jim. Let him take care of." Rinjani is sobbing with Dave's words. The man then lowered his body to be in line with his wife's stomach poking out. He touched that stomach and,
"Geek, I'm sorry, son. I don't think I'll be able to greet you in there anymore. I can't welcome your birth later either. I'm sorry, yeah. Can no longer take care of Mother. Starting today do not repotin Mommy again, yes. Do not make Mother very sick later if you want to be born. Promise not to be naughty, yeah." The man kissed his wife's stomach for a long time. And a few times it was so felt on Dave's lips.
While Rinjani just fell silent in the sobbing. I don't know, her father's been killed by her husband's own hand. But the pain with the reality of the father in his past has won Rinjani's heart not to think about her father anymore. It seemed that her crying was more dominant to Dave and the parting verse seemed to signify this separation forever.
"You heard Dad, yeah. Goody! You have to hear Dad say, yes. Same with Mother, yes. Dad said goodbye first. Thank you for making this man a father even though we will never meet." Dave got up with eyes already filled with water.
Dave smiled as soon as the look in his eyes met Rinjani's.
"I wipe away these tears for the last time. Whatever happens to me, believe me I feel happiness. So, don't cry." Dave turns himself in to the officer shortly after talking to Rinjani.
Rayan was hysterical when the brother's hand was put together with handcuffs. He was very afraid that what was on his mind would come soon. The often haunting thought that Dave would be put to death makes Rayan unwilling if he had to let Dave be taken by the officers.
"Sister I beg you, brother. My brother promised he would always be there for me. You can't break that promise, sister!" Rayan tried to escape from Mr. Jim's grip.
"Sir Jim, please whatever happens to me later. Don't give up or sacrifice for me. I only have you and Rayan. Who will take care of Rayan if I don't?" That's what Dave said just a few weeks ago.
"Why is your Lord saying that? We'll take care of Rayan together."
"If I have done what I want, I have no taste for life, I have no purpose. Rinjani just wanted me out of her life. This is what it's like to have a wife and she's carrying our child. I'll be like Jim soon. Now I know how you feel when I ask you this is when your wife needs you. If you knew, you might not believe that I'm actually happy to imagine I have a tiny baby soon, but unfortunately I can't seem to imagine it for too long. Rinjani wants me to go. May I trouble you one more time, Mr Jim? If when Rinjani and Raga come together, he won't take care of my son, please take care of him. But if they're willing to take care of him, please keep giving my son a living from the money I make in a good way." That sentence has been broken the last week. It's not strange for Mr. Jim to hear the good side of Dave. What makes it strange is why the sentence he uttered as if Dave was very pessimistic in the continuation of his life. Could this be the answer today?
Dave tried to ignore the screams from Rayan. Not to turn around or face. He will not be strong to see Rayan with all the destruction and also his tears. Dave's footsteps stopped as he passed Raga.
Dave gave a smile, "I, you, and Rayan are the same man. We both have no parents. I am the only human being who is wrong in your past life as well as the present. Don't involve my sister in anything that harms you. I tipped my sister, yes, look at her, ask her small things. He's 18, but he's still spoiled. I'm sure you know that, right? Please treat him well. I'm putting him to you, too. And sorry for all the mistakes. What you did was right."
Dave then continued his steps to get out of the house. Although he knows and maybe everyone will know what punishment he will receive, but there is really no fear in the mind and heart of Dave. He didn't think of himself at all, but it was the people around him that made him shed tears today. What made her footsteps heavy to leave this house with the officers was not her fate, but it was the people inside that house that made her legs feel heavy to step away.
Rayan's cry that was no longer heard made her sob in a head bow. He knew that the young man could no longer stand on his own two feet. The body that felt very weak when he hugged earlier must have collapsed with closed eyes and followed by a shout from Mr. Jim.
Rinjani seemed to have just realized from her dream when she heard the commotion from Mr. Jim with Rayan who was unconscious. She searches for where her husband is and realizes that Dave has left her home. He ran as much as he could while holding his enlarged stomach.
"Dave! Sir please stop, Dave stop." Rinjani sat in her yard with a cry that was then followed by Raga and her mother.
While Dave for the first time he didn't have the guts to stare at someone.
