Meniti (again) Past Traces - Part 2

Today the weather is much different from here. Yudha and her mother walked to an obstetrician's clinic. Yep, Yulia wanted to convince her testpect result this morning. So this afternoon she decided to check with her regular obstetrician. Dicky's been staying at his Opa's house for three days. Until the check room queue is not so crowded, only two or three people. While waiting in line he sends a message to Juan.

"I'm in the clinic with Yudha. Dicky's staying at Papi's." Yulia wrote in a short message to her husband.

"alright. Careful. May your pain heal soon. Love you," Juan replied.

"Love you too, brother." Yulia smiled reading a short message from her husband. Yudha who had seen him asked his mother.

"Yet again, yes. Ko from earlier smiled continuously."

"Of course, honey. Mama, very much" replied Yulia, hugging Yudha. The young man looked at his mother with a look of wonder.

"Why, Ma?" ask Yudha again. Yulia had not yet answered him, the nurse had already called her name. He went in with Yudha. It was true as he had expected before. She pregnant. Her age is 5 weeks. The doctor gave her a fetal-boosting drug and some vitamins. Because Yulia complains of feeling like fainting and falling. Yudha who heard the doctor saying that her mother would soon have another child was very happy. Many times he rubbed and kissed his mother's stomach.

Even until he arrived at home he rubbed his mother's stomach gently. "Dear babe. Beautiful adek .... Don't be naughty."

"eeh? Pretty grandpa?" Yulia furrowed her eyebrows at the words of her eldest son. "Is your baby a girl?"

"Yes, Ma. Beautiful as my mother" replied Yudha Yakin.

"What time?" Yulia laughed at her son's behavior. But that was exactly what she and Juan had hoped for, a daughter. Because both brothers, they really hope that if they are still trusted again then they want a daughter.

(Middle of Night)

Yulia woke up hearing a strange sound from the living room. So did Yudha, she hugged her mother. He dared to look out. Slender. Very quiet. There's no one there. It was strange to think. What sound was that. Yudha still held her mother's hand tightly. Suddenly from behind there was someone smothering his mouth. Yudha who saw it tried to help her mother. He beat up the masked man. But before long he felt his head dizzy and became unconscious.

"Ma .. mom .... Wake Ma!" Yudha patted Yulia on the cheek. By the time he realized he was already in a room that was like a warehouse. Next to her, her mother was still unconscious. Yudha reached into his pants pocket, there was still a new cellphone owned by his mother. Before going to bed, he took it and played it. Then he put it in his pocket. The latest mobile phone models with a new camera trend at that time. He was trying to find his papa number.

But it looks like the network is very bad. There was no signal in the room.

From outside the room came the sound of people talking. Who they are. But to see it he needs something to climb the door hole he's not out of his mind. There's a ladder. Yudha climbed up and peered out of the door vents.

"Why did you guys even bring it here anyway. Why not just finish it!" move someone.

"Sorry boss. We're in a hurry. Out of panic, we brought the children with us" said the tattooed man.

"They were fainting. We locked her in a room."

"But make sure you're safe, right? Nobody saw that, did they?" The boss assured that the work of his men was neat.

"good. While just let them be there. Until I find a way to finish him." Then the woman's boss left after handing the envelope with money to the kidnappers.

(The next day - Escape)

When Julia awoke, Yudha told her what she had seen to her mother. Yulia surprised. He seems to be in severe trauma. His whole body was trembling, his face was pajama. The nausea began to attack him. Understandably, she is pregnant young. The stress made him uncomfortable.

Yudha saw a slight gap as one of the kidnappers came in and threw bread at them. The kidnapper forgot to close the door. That's when Yudha ran away.

"Ma, Mama must be strong huh. For the sake of the baby, we have to get out of here safely." Yudha courageously helped her mother run. His hand held onto Yulia's hand tightly.

"But Yudha. Mama scared. Later if found out they will beat you up, son," said Yulia with a breath of breath.

"Calm down Ma. Pray to God. We'll be safe." They both tried to escape. And finally they reached the edge of the road. They don't know where they are. Dawn had just risen as they passed the outskirts of the road, hoping that someone would pass by.

But far enough they walked, only shrubs and large trees on both sides of the road. They joined hands across the road, suddenly a black car galloped towards them.

Yulia's body bounced to the right of the road and her head hit the trunk of a large tree. Then Yudha who had escaped from her mother's grip was thrown to the opposite side of the road. A woman wearing glasses opened her car. For a moment he watched Yulia who was lying down and not moving. Then without being commanded again he hurriedly fled his car. Yudha ran towards her mother.

"Ma .... Mama .... Wake Ma!" Yudha shouted to her mother.

"Eng ... Hm ... Aduuh." Yulia nodded and held her head.

"Alhamdulillah ... Mama's okay?"

"Yudha .. be glad that you are okay, dear." Julia held onto her stomach which was painful. Then he soon fainted on the edge of that lonely road. Yudha panicked to see the state of her mother. She cried and hugged her unconscious mother.
