What About Marriage?
Chapters. 25

Mu Chen took a deep breath and tried to calm down before he continued saying, “This goes on until he finds out about my father's new mistress. After that, my father insisted on divorcing my mother. Grandma disagreed so my dad kept making trouble. That's when my mother had a recurrence of depression. The last straw that broke the camel's back was when he learned that my father's mistress was his identical twin brother. It crushed it and brought it to jump into the sea.”

Song Ning held onto Mu Chen's hand as she listened to him tell her tragic past.

Lost in the memories of the past, Mu Chen buried his face in his palm before he wiped away the tears that spilled on his face.

Song Ning reached out her hand and hugged her. They both had such a tragic past that she empathized with him. By chance, he knew about his past. She did not expect him to discover her secret when she came to help him move, and in turn, she also discovered his secret. It is surprising that two people who marry impulsively connect in such a way long ago.

It really is a small world.

After they left Song Ning's house, she took Mu Chen to her mother's embroidery shop. It was located not far from the home of Song Ning and the Mu Group.

The building had two floors; the retail store was on the first floor while the operating room and staff dormitory were on the second floor.

Song Ning said, with a little embarrassment, “Because this business is not going well, many of our embroiders have been hunted by other businesses. Those who lived either knew my mother or had mediocre skills; that was why they were reluctant to leave. I don't know how to run a business so I'm worried I'll ruin his hard work.” He was very concerned and saddened by this matter.

Mu Chen studied every nook and cranny on the two floors before he grabbed Song Ning's hand and confidently said, “Don't worry, I'm here to help you. Everything will be fine.”

Although the two had only known each other for two days, it felt as if they had known each other for half a life. Who knew two people who didn't seem to have a crossroads with each other would be so closely related?

The Puncak Berawan Villa.

Jiang Jin had not slept; he was waiting for the duo to return.

Song Ning laughed before she replied, “Grandmother, I will not go if you obediently take the medicine and receive the necessary treatment.”

As if he didn't hear Song Ning's words, Jiang Jin glanced at his grandson and said bitterly, “Ning, don't worry. If Mu Chen dares to treat you badly, I will skin him alive!”

Mu Chen placed his hand on Song Ning's shoulder before he sighed and said with a helpless expression on his face, “I have to rely on you from now on. I have no status at all in this house.”

Song Ning smiled. The comical interaction between Mu Chen and Jiang Jin really warmed his heart. At this moment, he recalled something and quickly took out the silk handkerchief he had taken from the safe before and gave it to Jiang Jin.

After seeing this, Jiang Jin asked in surprise, “Ning, where did you buy this? Based on embroidery, if I'm not mistaken, it was made by Zhuang Yi. ”

After hearing these words, it was Song Ning and Mu Chen's turn to feel shocked.

“Grandma, do you know Zhuang Yi?” Mu Chen asked curiously.

Jiang Jin stroked the handkerchief and said, “Of course! If he had not died at such a young age, I would have done all I could to promote his skills. After all, it is part of Chinese culture. Ning, where did you buy this? I knew it was genuine and embroidered by Zhuang Yi. Look, the stitches in this corner are embroidered with a very unique method. No one else can replicate this even if they try it.”

Mu Chen and Song Ning looked at Jiang Jin, still in shock.

When Jiang Jin raised his head, he finally noticed the strange reaction of the two. He asked, “What's up?”

Tears threatened to come out of Song Ning's eyes as she said, “Grandmother, Zhuang Yi is my mother.”

Jiang Jin rose up in shock. “What did you say?”

Song Ning repeated her words with a smile on her face, “Grandmother, I am Zhuang Yi's daughter. The handkerchief in your hand is my mother's work.”
