What a Beautiful Divorce
69. Rahul & Kajol

"Grandpa, I'm asking Grandpa for ornamental fish, yes" Lapen Oscario's pinta. He was sitting on a long bench overlooking his grandfather's pond.

Mr. Oscar continued to pay attention to the surface of his golden pool overwritten by the afternoon sun. He ignited the shell and asked, "Definitely you want to release it into the river, yes, Lapen?"

Lapen's face frowned. "Kok, Grandpa knows?" tanyakanya. He stood up and stepped beside his grandfather who was standing by the pool.

Mr. Oscar smiled. "Your father told me."

"Ornamental fish can live in the river, right, Cake?"

"Can, Lapen. How many tails do you want?"

"Wait a minute, Cake. Will the ornamental fish go or settle in the river?" ask Lapen.

Oscar thought for a moment. "You can go, Lapen. There is a possibility that they will look for other habitats if they feel uncomfortable because they are disturbed by fish in the river. But try it first."

Lapen. "Then I ask for five tails, yes, Cake."

"Come, we'll catch it!" bring Mr. Oscar.

Lapen ran to his grandfather's house and soon appeared carrying a bucket of white paint and a dike. "Come, Cake!" Lapen put the bucket by the pool and gave his grandfather a hug.

Mr. Oscar was holding a dike while watching the surface of the pool. His face looked serious.

"Grandfather!" lapen cried, when he saw the back of a fish. Mr. Oscar immediately swung his dike quickly, but the dike only carried dry leaves when lifted.

Mr. Oscar shook his head and looked back at the surface of the pool. He and Lapen continued to try to catch the fish in turn, until twenty minutes passed but they still got nothing.

"It's hard, Cake," said Lapen. He sat down because he was tired. "It turns out that fishing is not as easy as fishing."

"How much, Lapen?"

Lapen and Mr. Oscar looked back. The one who asked just now turned out to be Bu Inari. He was walking to the pool with two cups of coffee and a cup of tea. Ms. Inari then sat down. After putting down the drink he saw the bucket of paint that Lapen had brought. His face crept. "Not one yet, sir?" ask him to Mr. Oscar.

Mr. Oscar shook his head. "No, Ma. It's hard to catch him."

"Why not be fed first, sir, so that the fish gather and can be touched easily?"

Mr. Oscar and Lapen looked at each other for a while and then laughed. Lapen stood up and ran to the corner of his grandfather's house to get fish food. After he returned, Lapen sprinkled fish food into the pond. All of Mr. Oscar's ornamental fish appear to surface.

Not until five minutes, the Lapen fish bucket now contains five ornamental fish. "Thank you, Grandma," said Lapen, laughing, as he lifted the bucket. "If Grandma hadn't told us, maybe until the night Grandpa and I wouldn't have gotten a single fish."

Ms. Inari smiled. "Take your coffee, Lapen, first" he said.

Prapto, Tri, and Nimo approached the old man carrying a fruit basket in front of them and introduced himself. They do not shake hands, just stick to each other according to the tradition in India. The old man whose face looked so peaceful and thoughtful introduced himself as Rahul.

"Let's sit on the porch!" bring Mr. Rahul. Arriving on the terrace, he called his wife and introduced Prapto, Tri, and Nimo. Rahul's wife was named Kajol. Her hair is bunned and on her nose there is a small round earring.

Tri had told Prapto and Nimo that Rahul was often visited by young men and fathers who wanted to learn the science of natural agriculture. The people who come to study are not only from India, there are also come all the way from outside India. However, almost all of those who came were home without bringing any agricultural science.

Tri's story makes Prapto and Nimo choose to be careful before telling Pak Rahul that the purpose of their arrival is to learn about natural agriculture.

"So, before you get here to the Amazon forest first?" ask Rahul sir. Behind him, Bu Kajol came to serve drinks and returned home.

"Yes, sir," answered Prapto.

Rahul smiled. "Finding terra petra?"

Prapto. "Yes, Sir. Nimo and I also do gardening. In our village, every house has a garden and they manage it the natural way."

Rahul nodded with a meaningful smile. "What are the farms and ranches in your village, Prapto?"

Prapto looked at Nimo who also seemed to be thinking hard about Pak Rahul's question just now. He then said, "Without pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, and no compost, sir."

"How do you plant seedlings?" ask Rahul again.

Prapto was astonished. There is not only one way to plant a plant, he thought. "By making a hole in the ground and closing it back after the seedlings are planted, sir."

Rahul smiled meaningfully again.

Because Pak Rahul did not respond, then Prapto felt now was the right time to express the purpose of his arrival to Pak Rahul. But just as Prpato was about to speak, an off-road car stopped not far from Mr. Rahul's terrace. From the car came down a middle-aged man who seemed to have just returned home from the office.

The middle-aged man was then invited to sit by Mr. Rahul and served drinks. He introduces himself as Raj, an agricultural businessman from one of the Indian states. After chatting for a while, Raj also said that the intention of his arrival was to learn natural agricultural science from Pak Rahul.

"My farm business is quite advanced, sir, and it's going well. Then a friend came and told me that in this place lived an old man who had a rare agricultural science. That's why I went to see Mr. Rahul" Raj said.

Mr. Rahul stroked his long beard while patting. His face still looked peaceful and wise. "I'm sorry, Mr. Raj. Not that I hate you, or disrespect your arrival. However, I can't give it. Please Mr. Raj don't hate me for this." Rahul then cupped his hands together.

Raj nodded in understanding. He looked disappointed, but from his face it could be seen that he did not hate Pak Rahul. Raj chatted for a while and soon returned home.

Prapto and Nimo looked at each other. They feel anxious. Worried if Mr. Rahul refuses to teach them after they come all the way from Endonesa. Prapto soon finds out that Rahul is a strict and principled man, as seen from his rejection of Raj just now.

While Mr. Rahul chatted with Tri, Prapto took Nimo for a walk around Pak Rahul's garden to talk about something.
