Wedding Disasters

Wedding Disasters
College time

Xora grasped the alley of the white cup containing her latte. The girl was here because of Tex. His blood is beating fast. He just realized something, why did he have to fulfill Tex's invitation to meet? This meeting had absolutely nothing to do with her wedding plans. Or any? Clearly, there was a small part gouged out from his heart. It's not very comfortable.

"Hi, I'm sorry to make you wait so long."

Xora turned her head towards the origin of the somewhat heavy voice. The girl found a smile that had always adorned her days. The smile remains the same.

"No, really. I just came, too" I'm Xora. The girl pulled her cup closer. This time both of his palms enveloped the warm surface of the cup. His lips suddenly stiffened. While Tex pulls the chair right in front of Xora, with a smile that turns out to be torturing the girl.

"So your name is now Tex? Where was the old Tristan?" xora asked as she relaxed the grip of her hand on the cup.

Tex laughed softly. "Well, that's just so it's easier to remember."

"If it's easier to remember, then you'll be hard to forget."

"Sorry?"

"Ah, no luck at all."

Tex looked at Xora fixedly. "Look, Xora. I'm gonna apologize."

"There's nothing to apologize for and there's nothing to forgive, Tristan. Maybe this is how fate should speak. After all, we've got a life of our own now."

Both were silent later.

"Ehm, what do you want to order?" xora said later.

"You chose Xora."

"So much the same as before?"

"Always, Xora."

The smell of coffee beans rippled through the room. Shortly thereafter Tex espresso came along. The man smiled again at Xora who had just looked at the peacock latte art inside the cup.

Xora smiled satire. "I'm a connoisseur of latte art." He lifted the cup and sipped the latte. "Right, it's cold." The girl put the cup back.

"Xora, you better refuse Kania's request."

"You mean?"

"Well, you guys back off."

"sorry. I really don't know what you mean." Xora folded her arms.

"I'll find another wedding organizer if you want."

Xora's face was red. "Why do you think that, Tristan?"

"I'm afraid you're hurt."

Injured. What are those cliche words Tex uses for? While leaving me for so long without any news was enough to numb him. What kind of shit is this?

"Listen Tristan. I'm it's okay. I'll take care of your wedding, until the end. I'm professional. You don't have to worry about me" Xora explained at length. "Again, I was engaged to Kala. Our old story has long gone. Don't you worry."

"Kala .. oh yes .. she."

"Yes, he."

"I don't have to worry. I'm stupid ...."

Xora laughed crisply. "Yes Tristan. You don't have to worry. I think we are happy by ourselves now. You have Kania and I'm with Kala. Where is the error? You don't have to apologize. We don't need to meet secretly here." Xora stopped talking shortly after a song was changed to Falling in Love at the Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg. The two were unmoved while listening to the song chanting spoiled in the ears.

"Ah shit. Let me have them change the song." Xora tiptoed from the seat. Tex quickly raised Xora's right arm.

"It's okay Xora. Didn't we both like this song? Just leave it alone for a minute."
