As soon as the talk show was over, Ken still had a photo shoot with the magazine done in another studio. The distance from the television station and studio was quite far and exhausting. But, without showing his tired face, Ken did his job perfectly. Only then could he rest.
Ken greeted the staff and returned to the waiting room prepared for him.
“Can you please leave me alone first?” the door was on some of his staff.
After that he was left alone in the 6 x 5 meter room with the key in his hand. Lock the room from the inside, then turn around.
“Uncle, why can it be here?” he asked the figure who followed him from morning.
The figure turned out to be the spirit of his uncle.
It has been twenty years since the fateful incident experienced by Handi and Lastri. During that time, my uncle and nephew never met.
Asep shook his head.
With a vibrating voice, Asep then said, “Uncle came here to apologize first to you.”
Ken looked at the sister of his birth mother. Never once did he expect an apology from someone who had hurt him. Even during this time Ken tried not to consider Asep as his uncle.
“Now uncle can still return. Apologize first to another uncle's family.” Said Ken in a sharp tone.
Asep nodded back.
“Cannot. Uncle could not get up. Hiks... uncle has been trying to get up.. hiks... but can't.” Asep.
Ken thought maybe this was a reward for those who had once allied themselves with the jinn. Even just waking up for a while to beg for forgiveness is complicated by God.
“Because of that.uncle came to you first. Uncle's sins are hard to forgive. Especially with you, same Mom, and Abah. Uncle really sesaaaaaal..!”
Asep dropped his body to the ground.
“Uncle is okay to go to hell. Uncle is ready. Uncle is quite grateful to have met you before leaving. Even if it's just uncle's soul.” Asep's voice was trembling. Tears were seen wetting her cheeks profusely.
Ken could only be speechless seeing such a sad Asep. He realized from a long time ago that his uncle really regretted what he had done. That's why his uncle turned himself in to the police. His uncle claimed to have killed both his parents and attempted murder of his nephew. Even though it wasn't really his act.
Ken lowered his head to think. Ken himself also felt that he was not a good person entirely. He had a grudge against his uncle. But seeing his uncle rest in front of him like this, Ken's heart was filled.
“Paman.”
As soon as Ken called him, Asep straightened to look at his nephew.
Ken let out a long sigh, then continued his sentence, “I do hold a grudge against uncle. Uncle was the one who ruined my childhood.”
“But my uncle also brought me and the man who saved the future
i.”
“I will pray that uncle can be calm in the afterlife.”
Hearing what Ken said, Asep's countenance looked even more relieved.
“Thank you, Ken.” Asep.
Now a smile was engraved on Asep's face that was still in tears. He didn't expect much to get Ken's apology. For Ken and for him, the actions he did before should have been unforgivable. At least, he thought, he wanted to just say sorry.
“Thank you.” Asep said again.
“A sincere uncle, yes. Hope we can meet again there.”
Asep nodded slowly. His spirit seemed to be getting thinner. The sign of his body is increasingly critical and his death will soon pick up.
“Uncle pamph first. It's time for uncle to go.”
Asep's increasingly thin and translucent spirit disappeared and turned into a golden light.
“There is one last request uncle.”
“I'll work on it, Uncle.” said Ken.
Before long, the light flew through the clear window in the room.he got higher and more and more disappeared into the sky.
After his uncle's departure, Ken felt weak. He sat down on the sofa next to him. Put his hands on his face and hair.
He was confused as to how he felt. It's just, the tears that were held back since then can't be contained. She was crying so much.
He and his uncle had no bond. They only met once when the tragedy happened. However, his second meeting with the uncle who no longer inhabited his body made him sad.
‘Ting!’
A message went to his Whatsapp account. Her tears were shed to better see the message.
Apparently the message was sent by Tio, his assistant. In his message written, “Mas, Mr. Asep has just died.”
Now it feels like everything is real.
Ken got up from the sofa, then headed to the restroom in his waiting room. He washed his face so that it would not look dull after crying.
When he finished, Ken called his assistant and was immediately picked up.
“Kak, I'm going to the funeral home now.”
Without hearing Tio's reply, Ken hung up.
He opened the waiting room door. And the presence of someone at the door made him aghast.
“Yes, Auntie! Shocked!” exclaims Ken's shocked.
There was a person he had called the savior of the future. The woman was wearing an all-black long chiffon dress with red purings and flat shoes with matching colors. On his head was a black veil that covered part of his long hair. His black glasses that looked quite large covered his sharp eyes that Ken liked the most.
“Tante know you want out. So, come together!” bring Sumita.
“Ok. Auntie knows too. Just wanted to tell you.” Answer in a still-dumb voice.
The overly sensitive Sumita looked at Ken closely. He found the eyes of his loved ones to look swollen. From there he knew that Ken had finished crying.
he pulled Ken's arm and held his hand. He took her down to the ground floor and it turned out that Tio was waiting there in the red limousine that his aunt used to wear.
Ken had intended to sit next to Tio in the front, but his aunt pulled her arm again and asked her to sit in the back. If Ken's conjecture is correct, then after this there will be a punishment for him.
And it turns out the guess is right. Sumita closed the barrier behind the driver's seat so that Tio did not see or hear anything she did.
Sumita took off her glasses and slipped the black thing on her shirt. Then, he held my shoulder as his eyes continued to stare at Ken.
“You're okay, right? Until this cry.” He gently wears Ken's face. Penusapnya Ken's eyes that look swollen after crying earlier.
Then Sumita stretched out her hand and brought Ken's head closer to her shoulder. Stroked Ken's fine hair lovingly.
“Tante did not expect you would be sad gini.” Bisik Sumita's.
Ken just shook his head.
“Cup cup... already, don't cry anymore, yes.” Sumita dyed Ken's hair twice.
This is what Ken means by ‘inner punishment’. To his aunt, Ken is a little boy he still has to look after. While Ken who is now a grown man can no longer consider it the same. Moreover, the aunt is too beautiful. Even though her job as a public figure requires her to interact with many women, for her aunt Sumita is the most beautiful.
