Want to Edit First
Episode 4

---- 13TH CENTURY AD\, TUMAPEL ------

A girl stuttered in the middle of a scorched forest with no direction. Her long hair was unraveling irregularly and a few strands covered her beautiful face. His entire body was stained with black charcoal and blood from his wounds and the wounds of others who were at his same fate. The brown jarit she wears just like that as long as her chest up to her knees is closed. His feet that continued to walk barefoot shed more blood than any other part of the body.

With that pain, he kept walking. He just wants to get out of there. At least by getting out of there he can make sure he's safe now.

For some reason, the forest seemed to have no end. It felt like he had walked for days without rest, but the scenery around him had not changed either. Still trees and grass that is charred and covered in ash.

Honestly, he was tired. Many times he fell, but then he got up again and walked again.

In his eyes, he saw a pretty strange house.

Only the house was intact without any abrasions. But the surroundings seemed to be destroyed by a major disaster.

The house was made of wood and covered with straw. In front of him there is a jug to store drinking water or to just wash your hands.

Because of her thirst, the girl walked faster to be able to drink from there. And after being in front of the jug, he immediately opened the lid of the hole at the bottom of the jug and drank from it.

He drank so much that he choked.

“Uhuk! Huk!”

Suddenly from behind him, someone patted his shoulder.

“Slow-slow, Nduk.”

The voice of that person was like an old man. A voice so soft as the voice of a grandfather who loved his grandson so much.

The girl looked at the old man.

What it looks like is someone who is already very old. His body was round and rather short so it was unclear, whether he was a woman or a man. His face is like that too. But from the look and sound of her voice, the girl knew that she was not a bad person.

“Mo.. apologize, Mbah. I want to drink without permission here.” The girl sat down and put her palms together in front of her chest to greet the old man.

“It's okay, Nduk. Know that you are very tired.”

The elder raised the girl's shoulders so that she would stand up.

“Let's sit first in the hut reot Mbah first.”

The girl nodded. He did not refuse because he was really tired after walking for days.

The girl was sitting on a plate on the porch of the wooden house.

Then he brought the girl some drinking water with a bamboo container.

“Here drink again.” Said Si Mbah while giving a glass.

“Thank you, Mbah.” The girl said, and then she drank the water.

After that the elder introduced himself, “Call me Mbah Sem. Usually called so.” Mbah Sem.

“My name is Sumita, Mbah.” Sumita also returned the introduction.

The elder watched Sumita with pushy eyes. He seemed to know what had happened to the young girl.

He noticed a red-eyed golden ring embedded in Sumita's thumb. One look at it must know that the ring is not an ordinary ring. And he knew well who had the ring before.

“So she's the girl of the boy's choice.” Mbah Sem mumbled.

Despite the ominousness, it turned out that Sumita heard it.

Shem smiled, then replied.

“It was my father who gave it to Sanjayawangsa and his heir so that later they could take care of their grandchildren.”

Sumita was wide-eyed at hearing that name.

“Sanjayawangsa. Mean Mbah, the house (dynasties) that leads this country?” asked Sumita in disbelief.

Mbah Sem nodded.

Sumita only knew that it was a ring passed down by the family of Prala, her dead lover. He did not know that the ring belonged to the Singasari Keraton family. So, all this time Prala hid her identity as crown prince?

“You should immediately return the ring to them.” Mbah Sem.

“But how? I've been trying to take it off, but this ring won't come off.”

Sumita showed how strong the ring was embedded in her finger. Many times he tried to take it off in various ways, still did not want to escape.

“The king gave it to his beloved sons and daughters as well as his most cherished sons and daughters. That's what you should be looking for.” His advice.

More or less Sumita understood what Mbah Sem meant. But will he find someone who can take the ring off?

“After this, go to Singasari. Chase him. Or you have to wait hundreds of years.” Continue Mbah Sem with a rather pressing tone.

Hundreds more years? Wasn't I dead by then? Inner Sumita.

As if answering a question in Sumita's heart, Mbah Sem again said, “You can even live to thousands of years as long as the ring is still in your hands.”

Sumita was silent. Actually, he still did not want to believe what he heard. But, for some reason he felt this old man was not lying. About the origin of the ring as well as about the power that is in it.

“Mbah there is still something to do. You rest here first. Please eat whatever is on the table there.” Mbah Sem said while pointing to a table that had been arranged there since when the food had been arranged.

He then left and left Sumita.

The very hungry Sumita took some food at the table that Mbah Shem showed. There are apples, guavas, oranges, and other fruits. So hungry, he ate the fruits greedily until it did not feel almost exhausted by it.

Because of the satiety, for a long time he felt sleepy. Plus the wind that blows feels very cold. Sumita finally gave up and followed her drowsiness and fell asleep there. He fell asleep for a few hours.

When he opened his eyes, he was no longer in the house or in the forest that he had been through for several days. He was on top of a ravine from which he could see a fairly large city.

“Mbah..” Sumita looked around. It was possible that the old man was still nearby and turned out to be nil.

From the beginning, the appearance of the house in the middle of the forest that burned down and an elder living there was already quite strange. And now he's in an area he doesn't know about without anyone.

Sumita recalled the elder's name again.

“Mbah Shem..”

His eyes were wide open remembering one more name that had the same prefix. Shrubbery.

He protects the leaders of this land. A figure that is said to be close to the ruler of the universe. Could it be him? Moreover, the figure and picture that people talk about about it is more or less the same.
