Ms. Cika is cheering. "Where are you going?"
I can't fully explain where Aidan went exactly.
"Outside the country" I answered, lying.
Ma cika nodded in understanding. "Just 4 days, nothing more" he concluded later.
A little disappointed, but I'm still happy. 4 days, also enough. After all, it wasn't entirely Aidan spending time with me, in his final week. He had to complete some pending tasks, like his explanation at my house.
"Thank you Mrs Cika.." I said, smiling at her.
"Fuh basic! you make me want to be young again." said Ms. Cika, moving while reaching for her bag.
"Loh, why? Madam is still young." my god again.
"Not to overdo it, you're on 4 days off, nothing more!" his scowl, opening the door, left the bookstore.
I replied with a smile, watching him so completely unattainable from my sight. Only after that did my mind get screwed. It felt sad again, remembering Aidan's words, farewell remarks. I hate goodbyes, especially to people I love.
*tring!
"Welcome," welcome me kindly, to the person who just came to this store.
"Did Helen and Gery know this?" my mind in my heart. At first glance, remember them. 2 people who also come from there, surely they know better. I decided to call Helen instead of Gery. Given that Aidan doesn't like Gery very much.
..
Now at 4 pm, there should have come a person who would change shifts with me. But, it's been more than 10 minutes since I waited, before the shift change, the person never came. There, visitors keep coming, taking up more of my time.
"Sorry, sorry!"
I turned, to him who had just entered suddenly, until the bell at the door almost fell.
"Switchwork?" my question then, saw him holding his knee limp with an irregular breath.
the man approached me. "I'm already here, so you can go." he concluded.
"That's what I wanted from now on" my inner self inwardly, smiled forcefully.
I immediately left the cashier, headed to the storage room to pick up my things, as well as to change clothes.
When I was ready, I immediately went back to the front. It was raining heavily, to the point that the sound of water hitting the streets was heard from inside the shop.
I massaged my forehead, sitting in the corner of the cashier, not caring about the part-time working men looking at me. What can I do, I have to wait for the rain to stop. Because I left with Aidan, riding a motorcycle, I forgot to bring an umbrella. This also happened because of the burden on my mind, about Aidan's departure.
"Aren't you carrying an umbrella?" ask the man, approach me.
I immediately turned to him, nodding only the four of them. Pensive back, thinking of Aidan and the rain.
An umbrella was pushed deliberately by him, hitting my arm. "Now, put mine on."
I looked at him, this part-time worker who changed shifts with me. His name I don't know, but why is he this good?
"Then you?" tanyaku then, to accept the umbrella in doubt.
He shrugged his shoulders briefly. "Hm, maybe the rain subsides at night." she replied later.
"True, the shift will be over at 9pm." I thought to myself.
..
I rushed to the Cafe, the place that had been determined when I made the agreement with Helen earlier. A little curious, when walking like this, with people laughing loosely, joking in the midst of the rush of rain. It seems, they don't have a burden like me, the girl who is still a dozen years old.
"Hey, you know what? I'm not from this world you know-" I started acting, like a desperate person- "If Nasa knew, I wasn't from this world, they would've been hunting me. For research materials, haha!" my mind continued, while passing the road with the swift rain.
Maybe I've gone crazy, because Aidan especially. No, I can't just let it go. Why are gods so cruel? I was just about to be happy.
I found Helen, seen from the window. His smile began to expand, after seeing me as well. I immediately ran, entered the cafe. Put my umbrella and coat in place.
I hugged Helen's body. "Hey.I'm so sad!"
Helen was confused, she pulled my body.aligned my body with her, looked into my watery eyes, ready to cry.
"You why?!" scream Helen, can't believe I'm suddenly crying.
People who were around also, had looked over due to my sobs that began to sound. In fact, I hope my crying voice is disguised by the swift sound of rain falling.
I obeyed Helen, sitting next to her. I told you everything that happened, without being missed. Starting from meeting the King secretly, until bad news from Aidan. I blamed myself, thinking it was all because of me.
"I hope you're better prepared for these things in the future" said Helen, as she seemed ordinary after hearing my story.
"Keep, how should I go?" I asked, although a little disappointed with Helen's response.
Suddenly Helen looked coldly at me, her sharp gaze drawing straight into my eyes.
"I'm going back to that world, with a portal. There must be a hidden portal of yours." said Helen.
I immediately focused on Helen, listening again to her explanation.
"So, the reason the light was so bright when I got home from school was because it broke the portal?" I asked, trying to understand more clearly.
Helen nodded. "Originally, we were caught, by security" Helen added.
I now understand, those strange happenings. No, it's not strange, because it has its own clarity, which I don't know yet.
"You said you've been with Aidan to the world. Right?" ask Helen then.
"I never told you" I said.
Helen rolled her eyes lazily. "Woman of the parlor, tell me." said Helen.
"That means, that's Aidan's portal?" my knot.
"No. It could be your portal. We won't know if we haven't checked it!" cry Helen.
I frowned, a sign of not understanding. How could my portal? the way in I don't understand.
"Come on!" pinta Helen, has already moved from the chair.
"Where?"
"Your house. The portal's on the river near your house, isn't it?" clarify Helen.
I obeyed Helen's invitation, even though it was still raining. Fortunately, Helen, in her red sports car, was able to drive me, without having to walk to the bus stop.
