Vampire's Breath

Vampire's Breath
11.

I turned towards the large open window to see the giant bat that brought me back to the kitchen. His wings flap to the floor. Red eyes

it shone furiously from his big and ugly face. It saved our lives! I realized.

I fell to my knees. I grabbed the side of the stove to hold myself back.

I'm doing fine. I will be fine, I told myself. I raised my eyes to the big bat.

It's starting to shrink. It slipped itself inside its black wings. Wrapping wings around his body.

The wings melted into a robe. Purple robes. And as his robe was pulled back, Count Nightwing appeared.

"You're making a serious mistake, young man," he insisted. His strange silver eyes burned furiously into the mine. "Do you think you can fly?" sue him while sneering. "You're not ready

flying again!"

"I-1-1-" I'm still shaking too hard

speak. "When I turn you into a vampire, you can fly every night" furious Count Nightwing. She brought her face closer to mine, so close that I could smell her pale skin. "Don't try to escape again" he growled. "That's a waste of time. And next time, I won't catch you."

I swallowed spit. I held my breath, trying to force my heart to stop pounding so hard.

Count Nightwing turned away from me. Turning his purple robe behind him, he floated past Cara, passing through the kitchen.

He stopped at the door and turned towards us. "Don't just stand there" he ordered. "Let's help me find Vampire Breath. I know it's somewhere in the wings of this castle."

Cara and I had no choice. He stood in the doorway, waiting for us to follow him.

Holding onto the stove, I stood up. Then I followed Cara through the kitchen into the hall."Maybe I hid the bottle in the royal living room," Count Nightwing said, speaking to himself. He pushed open the door and disappeared inside the room.

Cara and I kept going. The hallways seemed to stretch for miles in front of us. Door by door by door. And this is just one wing of that old vampire castle. "Are you okay?" How to ask, watching me as

we walk. "You still look a little shaky." "I'm a little shaky," I admit. "After all, I

falling off a cliff!"

How to shake his head. "It won't be easy to escape."

"We can't escape" I replied. "The castle was built here on a cliff to prevent anyone from escaping."

He swept a black hair from his eyes. "We can't give up, Freddy. We have to keep trying. Once he finds his fangs, he'll turn us into vampires."

"That's why my first plan was the best," I insisted. "We have to find the bottle of Vampire Breath before he does. Maybe we'll get lucky. Maybe we'll find him first."

"But what will we do with it once we have it?" Demanding way.

"Particularly keep it away from him!" i declare. I pulled him into the next room. We both flinched when we saw the coffin.
