VACILANTE: IMPERFECT

VACILANTE: IMPERFECT
31 - Need a Time

"Milma!"

Nasha. He was surprised by the sudden call. His feet that had previously stepped towards the classroom also came to a halt. That's his friend, one of his classmates and his OSIS friend, Fiona.

Fiona slightly ran over to Nasha who was still silent in front of the classroom door. Behind him is Calista who also runs after Fiona. Nasha had already confirmed that what Fiona was going to discuss was the matter yesterday, when Nasha said 'sorry' on Alvin's love statement.

"Lo sure you got the same answer yesterday, Sha?" fiona asked as soon as she reached Nasha's presence, "Lo nolak Alvin? Isn't that the same as Alvin?"

"Although you're my friend, you have a lot of heart, Sha. Alvin has told his shame for the sake of expressing his feelings to you. But, you're that, anyway?" added Calista.

Nasha sighed. He then moved his feet back to the classroom. Who wouldn't like Alvin if he was that sweet? Nasha just needs time to resolve the misunderstanding between herself and Galih.

"Sha..," called Fiona while sitting in front of Nasha. Nasha kept her bag and sat down in her chair. He then looked at Fiona who was now looking at him expectantly.

"Gue knew I was wrong because I didn't give Alvin a good answer. But, you're my friend, Fi, Cal. You're supposed to support me, not Alvin like that."

Calista and Fiona looked at each other, the next second they sighed because they were confused what to do with Nasha so that Nasha would tell the reason she rejected Alvin.

"Yes, sorry, Sha. We should have heard the reason you rejected Alvin," said Calista while looking down.

"We're surprised, you're the same Alvin. And I thought, there's no reason to refuse Alvin. Unless you have another guy," Fiona added.

Nasha sighed and shook her head softly, "There's no reason for me to refuse Alvin. But, that's if I just think about today, and just live for today."

Fiona frowned, "I mean, lo?"

Nasha. Although he wanted to tell her the reason he rejected Alvin, he felt that what he thought was better kept within himself. His friends have difficulty with their respective life problems, and Nasha as a good friend does not need to add to that problem. Nasha was an adult, almost seventeen years old.

"Son, Fi," he replied after a few minutes of silence.

Fiona and Calista sighed together. The next second they turned their bodies around, and sat up better. If forced, Nasha will not tell what is the reason he rejected Alvin. Therefore, they better wait until Nasha himself will tell.

"Nasha," call someone from the doorway. Nasha who had just pulled out her biological record, turned her head.

"Alvin," he murmured.

Nasha kept her biology records on the table. He then got up, approached Alvin who was now smiling sweetly. What happened to Alvin? Rejected why can you still smile? Was Alvin not serious about what he said yesterday? Is his love statement just a joke?

"Nasha," he called again.

"What's this, Vin?"

Alvin frowned, "Can't it be?"

Nasha shook her head slowly, "It's not that."

"Continue?"

Nasha. Confused what question he deserves to ask someone who yesterday he just rejected his love statement, "Not so, deh."

Alvin laughed softly, he knew what Nasha meant, "Even though you rejected me yesterday, it doesn't mean our friendship is a result, does it?"

Nasha nodded slowly, "Yes, anyway. But not awkward? How, I'm awkward, huh?"

Alvin laughed again. Honestly, it was awkward, very. However, he must know the consequences of the declaration of love. If accepted then he will be happy, if rejected he should not hate.

"Son, dong, it's lo."

Fiona brought herself closer to Calista, whose eyes were not separated from Alvin and Nasha, "Gue was sure Nasha had a problem, so he refused Alvin."

Calista nodded in agreement, "Every time I see them, I never see love clapping one hand."

"Btw, Vin, what are you doing here? Anything on?" ask Nasha.

"Just love this," replied Alvin while giving a packet of sandwiches, "Lo tumben very early in the morning without me picking up, I'm afraid you don't have breakfast first."

"Thank you, yeah, Vin."

"Together, Nasha," Alvin replied with a smile that could not be separated from his face, "Gih, there enter. I'm going to class."

Nasha nodded. The next second Nasha turned her body to return to her seat. However, just one step, Nasha had turned her body back and looked at Alvin who was now frowning in confusion.

"Lo misunderstood, Vin. I don't refuse, I just need time."

°°°

A gust of wind that was quite strong as if sweeping the contents of the mind that was so runny. The unraveling hair moved about here and there as if dancing in coolness. The white shirt is also her short ash skirt also does not want to miss out on dancing.

Nasha closed her eyes, enjoying the wind blowing in this hot day. The roof of the school has recently become his favorite place. Because he knew, calmness and coolness would only be obtained if he stood on the edge of the school roof barrier.

"Old old?" greeting someone made Nasha open her eyes. He then turned his body around, finding a well-built figure smiling sweetly at him, "Sorry, huh?" said again.

Nasha tidied up her messy hair from the wind. Not to forget, he slipped his kinsmen behind his ears, while poking at his lips before answering, "Son 'pa-pa, Brother."

Galih stepped up to Nasha who was now looking down embarrassed, "Tumben not talking here, what's up?" ask Galih while leaning his body on the guardrail.

Nasha was silent. He has trouble putting together the right words to talk about his relationship. He was afraid of hurting Galih's feelings and bad consequences in the future.

"Lo know for yourself, don't you think the break is long?"

Nasha nodded confirming, "Therefore, I want to the point."

Galih was still waiting for Nasha to continue her words. "Can I ask you something about our relationship?"

Galih frowned, "Relationship? We?" her question was hesitant, and Nasha nodded in response.

"Gue thought you thought we had nothing to do since yesterday's trouble."

Nasha paused for a moment, "But I'm not the kind of girl who runs away from trouble."

"Well, I know."

"Trouble time it—"

"Yes I like it lo, Sha," cut Galih making Nasha look at him. Nasha was further confused by Galih's sudden statement. Now, what should he be? Couldn't he have said that Alvin also expressed love for him?

"But, no matter where I feel, I know you don't have the same rich feeling I'm feeling to you," added Galih making Nasha bow.

Galih laughed softly as she realized that her prediction turned out to be true, that her negative thoughts had been coming true, "Gue was lacking what, anyway, Sha? Everyone likes me, takes me, and wants me to be his girlfriend. But, lo? What reason do you not like me?"

Nasha was more confused when asked questions by Galih. He was increasingly unable to speak for fear of hurting Galih.

"Because Alvin? Didn't we get on deck first?"

"It's complicated, sister," Nasha replied after a few minutes of silence, "Love is complicated, sister," he replied again as he looked at Galih with a wistful gaze, "I don't know why I don't keep the same feelings Galih. I also can not be mistaken about my closeness with Alvin who can defeat my closeness with Galih. I just know what my heart says."

"And your heart says you like Alvin?"

"To be honest I used to like Galih, but that feeling was lost when I found comfort with Galih. I don't want to lose Galih's brother."

Cliches. That's the reason most people use when they reject a person's declaration of love. But how else, that's all that can come out of Nasha's lips.

"Nearly me and Alvin when compared to our closeness is nothing. That's why I can't nyimpen kak Galih in any place. Galih has a special place in my heart, and I'm not lying about this."

Nasha grabbed Galih's hand and rubbed it gently, while the owner just looked at Nasha with sadness, "Sir Galih is always there when I am sad, happy, difficult, and never once left me. And I hope that this Galih that is before me will remain the Galih that I knew before, for today and forever."
