Under the Same Sky

Under the Same Sky
Chapter 14

I looked at the Princess with a desperate look.

I was just about to lament myself when I heard the voice I had accrued a few years ago. The sound of a crybaby that bothered me, but even seeing I missed when I did not hear it. The voice of Yunita, my friend.

" Yui!" call me when I see she's walking into the house with her son and husband. A smile spread wide on my lips. I immediately got up from my seat, opened my arms wide to hug her.

Yuni laughed at my behavior. We hugged each other's longing. " You're getting thinner." Yunita added after we exchanged greetings. I did not answer her comments, preferring to greet her husband and kiss her son.

" It's funny, Yun. What did you eat, she got fat?" I said while squatting in front of her son.

" Yes rice, dong! Emang you, eat instant noodles continue until skinny gini." ledek Yunita while laughing.

" Eh, there's Yunita. That's your son Yun? Duh... Greetings used to be the same Grandma here." Suddenly Mother was already near us, fascinated with Galang.

Yunita leads her son to approach Mother. Mother was also seen trying to take the heart of her son Yunita so that she could hold him for a while. I grimaced in my heart, knowing the true character of my mother on this one. Mother could never ignore a boy who was nearby. Every time there is an adorable baby boy or little boy, you always want to talk.

" Follow Grandma looking for candy, yuk." woo Mom to Galang. Galang seemed interested in the word "Candy" so he finally wanted to be carried by Mother to stay away from her own mother. Yunita's husband chose to prick in the courtyard, enjoying the coffee dish we served to guests.

" You how are you?" yunita asked as we stayed together.

I held her with one hand. " Good news, Say. I really want to be with you." I replied.

" You rarely go home, anyway. If there is no big event like this, where can you go home? How is Singapore? Aman?"

" Which news? Singapore or me in Singapore? Her name was clearly ding, Yun!"

Yunita laughs. " Duh, you are getting more beautiful" Yunita said as she pinched my cheek. I grimaced in pain.

" You said I was skinny. Now, say pretty. Which is right, anyway?"

" Beautiful, but skinny. Gempinine. It must be more beautiful. You want to get my fat?"

I reply with laughter. Yunita has always been able to make me laugh like this. How much I miss my friend. During my time in Singapore, I began to lose the ability to converse because I rarely communicate in a familiar way like this.

" Continue?"

" What continues?"

" Where is your prince?"

" What prince?" elakku.

I just cringed in horror. Bring Mark home? In fact, during these two years, Mom and Dad never wanted to talk more about Mark when I tried to tell him about it.

I shake my head weakly.

" Why?" ask Yunita. It seems he understood correctly that I felt bad about talking about Mark in this house, when I was always carefree when discussing Mark with him on facebook all this time.

" It's strange that I suddenly invited Mark here" I replied.

" I know. But, if you are not familiar with them, how can Om and Auntie know who Mark really is? At least, you have to tell me who and how Mark really is." Yunita gave me advice again. Only he understands what I've always felt about my relationship with Mark. What happiness has always surrounded me since I was with Mark. I have never been this happy since I left Bima.

I just kept quiet, thinking about what Yunita said. But how would I take Mark to Mom and Dad if Mark never asked me to meet his parents in order to introduce me as his girlfriend?

My position as an employee at Mark's father's company is certainly often met with his parents. However, it was as an employee, for meetings, not introduced as a lover of his son. Then, suddenly I forced Mark to meet with my parents? I shook my head in despair.

" Have you been able to talk to your parents about Mark recently? Your relationship with Mark has been a long time, right?" continued Yunita.

" Just tell Mom." I replied.

" Well, how did Auntie react?" yunita asked curiously.

I shrugged, giving up my mother's attitude toward Mark. " Mom said, did I tell Mark my situation."

" Well, why are you?" yunita asked confusedly.

" Daughter wants to get married in the near future, with Bagus Brahma" I explained.

Yunita fell silent, beginning to understand my situation. " And that means you're expected to marry someone you can stay with in this house, follow you." Yunita responded.

" That's right." I said.

" And Mark isn't one of the options you have right now?" yunita looked at me. There was a sense of Iba clearly drawn in his eyes.

I'm shaking.

Yunita rubbed my back. " Patience, Al. There must be a way." he said slowly.

I smiled miris. Yes, I know that there must be a way for every problem His people face, as long as we always ask Him to be given a straight path.
