Two Souls Changing Fate
CHAPTER 13

CHAPTER 13

Raymond's family was packing their luggage to get ready to return to the Russell Family Mansion. They actually did not want to rush home because they were worried about Grandpa Russell's health. However, Russell's grandfather asks them to come home soon, the grandfather feels he is much better.

Raymond came out of the room and wanted to go down to the first floor to say goodbye to his grandfather, before going down the stairs, his steps halted for a moment as his gaze looked towards the floor-to-ceiling glass window at the end of the corridor close to the steps. He walked closer to the window, raising his head towards the clear sky that was beginning to be covered in dark clouds.

Jgeeers....

Lightning that struck seemed to be heard from the sky. Raymond was able to catch a glimpse of the lightning trajectory heading towards the Carlton Family home and to make it even more astonished that the lightning was just crackling on the roof as if it was harmless.

Is today's weather forecast inaccurate Isn't lightning dangerous when it hits someone? What about the little girl I saw that day? inner Raymond, then quickly continued his steps down to the bottom floor.

Before reaching the end of the stairs, Raymond could see his parents talking to his grandfather in the living room. Raymond headed straight towards the empty sofa next to his mother.

Raymond's mother, Reyanna Clement, realized someone was standing next to her, then turned to her left side and found her son's handsome and cold face, which looked very much like her husband, looking at them seriously. His father-in-law also turned his gaze from the son towards his grandson, then asked Raymond to sit wherever he liked.

Raymond just sat next to the mother who was the closest, then said, "Can't go home, it's going to rain outside."

"Yes, the weather suddenly deteriorated like this, the return trip had to be postponed, too" Raymond's father Ronan Russell said indifferently. Inwardly he was thrilled to see his cold and reserved son initiate the conversation.

"Tomorrow the weather, it may have been much better" Reyanna said gently to her son.

Raymond opened his mouth wanting to say something but fell back silent after seeing their sparkling eyes. It didn't take long for them to finally be disappointed no further words came out of Raymond's mouth.

The old man and the grandfather who heard it widened their eyes. Think since when does Raymond care about someone's safety.

Ronan quickly replied, "Well, I'll ask for help from the Police, no it's too long it's better to just call the Military!"

Platkk ...

The paper roll landed on Ronan's head and the culprit was the grandfather whose face showed impatience, wanting to reverse the son's rationality. The two of them ended up arguing a few words until Ronan gave up and grandfather smiled proudly.

Reyanna just shook her head at the childish behavior of the two of them and looked back at her son with a gentle smile on her face.

"Ray, honey, tell Mom what's going on?" ask Reyanna.

"I'll explain it later, we have to be quick" Raymond said with serious foreboding.

Raymond thought that if the little girl wasn't saved immediately, maybe she couldn't see her anymore. For some reason, his heart ached after thinking about that possibility.

"Little girl? Is the little girl tanned black-haired with gray irises?" ask Grandpa when he remembers something Raymond said.

Raymond turned his gaze to the grandfather, then nodded his head lightly which meant confirming his grandfather's sentence.

"That little girl was called Eilaria, she was kind, happy to help others and that smiling face was like a little sun when she was around her." said the grandfather was imagining a cute little girl who always greeted him. Too bad, the little girl looked so thin it seemed like the Carlton family's treatment of Eilaria was not good.
