"No, Anan. Please hold on. I won't let you leave me. Look at me, Nan. Lookatme! I came to save you. You have to hold on. Anan's... Anan!"
Arya calls out Anan's name in her sleep. Before long, slowly but surely, his two manics opened.
"Thank God, you're conscious."
Arya turned her head and saw the figure of Abhizar sitting beside her bed.
Arya remembered something.
"Abhi, last night I was with a girl. Where is he?"
"Anan?" ask Abhizar, clarify.
"Yes," Arya replied, nodding.
"Eh, you know him?" Arya asked back.
"More than that."
Abhizar's reply made Arya frown.
"What do you mean?" ask while trying to get up.
Abhizar just shrugged his shoulders.
"Rest! Your assistant is coming soon." Then Abhizar turned and stepped towards the door.
When he was about to touch the doorknob, the door was knocked from outside. Soon Abhizar opened it and there appeared Dimas with all his baggage.
"Come in! He's up. I'll take care of you."
Dimas nodded once, then gave way to Abhizar.
Abhizar put his feet up and smiled. This time he wanted to prank his cousin a little. Or maybe a lot. I don't know.
"How are you doing?" asked Dimas after putting the item he was carrying on the table.
"It's better. Oh yeah, how about ... ."
"Anan?" guess Dimas, precede Arya.
Arya also nodded at Dimas's guess.
"I don't know either. I haven't seen him today. The last time I saw her, when you two both came out of the IGD room and were taken to the treatment room" Dimas explained.
"You know where Anan's nursing room is?" ask Arya.
"You just focus on your recovery. After that, you will meet him. That's if Anan's pleased."
"Whatchu mean? Why are you saying as if Anan is not willing to meet me? Before Anan fainted, I was sure Anan could see me. So, he must know who came to help him. Anyway, I'm fine. I'm fine."
Dimas let out a long sigh while shaking slowly.
"You're so narcissistic, sir," he said.
"Well, that's right, right?"
"Aryans... Anan's blind, so there's no way he's seeing you."
The words of Dimas certainly made Arya shocked and sad.
"Is it true that Anan can't see? Since when? And what made Anan go blind?" A row of questions just came out of Arya's lips.
"It happened the night of the company's birthday party. After Anan gets out of the hotel, several men kidnap him. Long story short, Anan tried to escape, but unfortunately, he was hit by another vehicle and resulted in Anan losing his eyesight" said Dimas who knew the story from Rasmi.
Aryan tears flowed without orders. In his heart, he regretted his actions that day. Even so doomed his stupidity at that time that just because of his momentary ego made him have to bear deep regret.
Arya tried to remove the infusion needle in her hand.
"What are you doing?" Dimas tried to prevent Arya.
"I have to meet Anan. I want to make sure it's going."
"Calm down, Arya. You forget what you ever did to her?"
Instantly Arya fell silent while continuing to stare at Dimas. Heart rages. But he was determined. Whatever the outcome, the important thing is that he has expressed his apology.
"I don't care, Dimas. I have to see Anan."
Arya got up and eroded the distance with the door. When he was about to hold the doorknob, he pulled back his hand. Before long, he turned to face Dimas.
The stared dimas only frowned.
"I don't know where Anan's nursery is" Arya said, rubbing her nape.
Dimas sighed lightly, then walked ahead of Arya, and opened the door for his superior and best friend.
Just a few steps, Dimas stopped in front of a door.
With a smile, "This is Anan's treatment room" Dimas said, pointing at the door nearby.
"Why didn't you say that." Arya is upset because Anan's nursery and the nursery are next to her apparently.
Again Dimas just smiled awkwardly.
As soon as Arya was about to knock on the door, Dimas stopped her.
"Wait on! Do I need to be with you?" bargained for.
"no need. Thank you," said Arya who was still upset.
Dimas no longer said anything. He only nodded once, then walked away from Arya.
Arya, alone, stood at the door. He dared to slowly knock on the door of Anan's nursery.
A voice came from behind the door. Arya opened the door and entered the room.
In the eyes of Arya, a beautiful girl whom she so longed for was sitting on the bed with a plate of green grapes on her lap.
Anan tried to guess who came to his room.
"Who, huh?" he asked, because he could not guess despite trying.
Slowly Arya moved forward. Little by little the distance between them eroded.
"Sorry, who are you?"
Anan started to panic and felt every surface he could afford. Until finally he reached for a plate containing green grapes in front of him.
When Anan was about to lift the plate, Arya swiftly grabbed the plate from Anan's hand and put it on the nightstand.
"Who are you?!" peekik Anan's.
Arya was speechless. The bead that had been glazed earlier, was now melting tears. His heart was broken seeing Anan's current condition. Repentance strikes his heart and soul, which can be liberated from time to time.
"Sorry."
One word finally made it out of Arya's lips.
Anan jerks. Although a little hoarse, he can recognize the voice that used to often ring in his ears.
"Sir Arya?" call it.
"Yes.it's me. I know, I don't deserve to stand in front of you to get an apology from you. But really, I'm sorry. I regret everything I did to you back then. Sorry. forgive me."
"Sir Arya doesn't need to apologize. I forgave my father at that moment. So, you don't owe me anything."
"But Nan, what I did was outrageous. You deserve to punish me."
"I don't deserve to punish you" Anan said, smiling, though with trembling hands.
"I want to rest. Please come out."
Anan's tears were preparing to heal him. And he didn't want Arya to see that. For that, Anan asks Arya to leave him immediately.
"good. Rest up! I'll be back tomorrow."
Arya leaves Anan, wiping her tears.
From the opposite direction, Zidan sees Arya coming out of Anan's nursery. Hurriedly, he approached the treatment room and entered to find out Anan's condition.
"You're not... ."
Zidan's words were never perfect. He swallowed his saliva watching Anan cry a mouthful.
"Zidan's."
Soon Anan may wipe away her tears to avoid being caught by Zidan. But late. Both of Zidan's hands were clenched. He thinks Arya hurt Anan again.
"You don't have to cover it up, Nan."
"I-I... ." Anan stammered.
"I saw it. Did he hurt you again?" ask Zidan, furious.
"No, Zidan. It's not what you see. He didn't do anything" Anan defended.
"What's? You're defending him? Conscious, Nan! He's already hurt you. You don't want to be soft in front of him." Zidan walked up to Anan.
"But he really didn't do anything. And you also do not have to worry about me," said Anan who also began to get upset.
"Where might I not worry about you. You are my brother, my sister."
Instantly Zidan realized his words just now.
"What?" Anan did not believe what he heard.
