CHAPTER 5

The Nagarjuna family residence.

Filled with great hope, Selly's countenance shone. He was impatient for news from Marina. Soon he will hold the status of in-law of Arshaka Virendra, of course it is an honorary title for him. He was so proud of himself. Selfishness flashed through his heart. Not a single glance came to think of the fate of his daughter.

Hopefully anxious, Selly waited for a call from Marina. Marina should have given him the news but somehow his phone had no call ringing until he was saturated waiting.

Selly was sure his plan would not fail. Marina is very reliable, Selly believes in her heart amid the anxiety that dominates her.

Before long the phone rang.

How this surprised Selly after receiving the phone call, he was asked to come to the Virendra family residence. This means good news for him.

It didn't take long for Selly to immediately rush towards the Virendra residence.

Surprised by a sight, Selly felt her heart carefree. There was Lord Virendra with his wife and Marina sitting together as if they were waiting for Selly. A smile colored his face.

"Sorry, if it keeps you waiting." Then Selly pretended to be surprised to see Marina, "Lho has my daughter here too, I guess she came home with me. Last night my head was a little dizzy drinking too much so don't pay attention to it."

"Please sit down, Jeng Selly...! There's something we'd like to discuss with you." Desi welcomes after welcoming Selly.

"All right..." Selly sat down quietly. Deep in the corner of her heart, Selly was looking forward to this moment.

Mrs Desi coded Mr. Virendra to explain to Selly. "To the point alone, because it's a very important matter."

"What's up, huh? You guys look so serious." Selly pretended to be confused.

"I'm sorry our family did something wrong. In order to preserve the dignity of the Virendra extended family, I decided to marry my eldest son to your daughter."

"Me–married?"

A second of silence enveloped. Selly cheered inwardly, she did not expect her plan to go smoothly. His desire was in sight.

"Sorry, I still don't understand. I was invited here to discuss our children's marriage? doesn't this sound rushed," Selly continued. Joy overflowed in his heart.

"Well, this is the responsibility of the Virendra family towards your daughter"

"Marina.come here, sitting near me. It's something serious apparently. I need some time to talk to my daughter" Selly turned to Marina who was sitting opposite to her.

Inwardly, Marina hoped that this marriage would be void. Marina plans to tell her mother that they are only using and taking advantage of Marina. With a bow, Marina walked up to Selly.

"Mom, just cancel, I don't want to get married" Marina whispered.

"Stop, don't talk nonsense. Lookie! The Virendra family will accept you, it's a great fortune. Don't waste this golden opportunity. I don't like you to argue. Remember, it's for our family's sake" Selly spoke softly and only Marina heard him.

"How's it?" Mr. Virendra and Desi looked towards Selly, they were waiting for certainty from Selly.

"I agree. Earlier I apologized that my daughter was being disrespectful"

"Ah. that... Actually my son is guilty, we should apologize" Desi said.

"Ok, then next week we get our son married,"

"Well?!! Next week?" Selly. Selly did not expect that fast, he thought the Virendra family took a long time to prepare for his son's marriage. In the Selly wish, Marina's wedding will be held grand and it certainly needs careful preparation.

"Alright," Selly agreed helplessly, she was still dazed and thought a lot.

After the talks, Selly and Marina return home.

Arshaka who only heard behind the wall, smiled cunningly with after-plan in mind. He did not even want to show his face in front of Selly because for him Marina already knew Arshaka's face alone was enough to make misfortune.

Arshaka just doesn't want any more people to know his face. He has been in hiding for a long time and no one knows his identity, so people do not easily trap and take advantage of him just because Arshaka is the son of Virendra. But Marina, managed to trap him. It made a pang of frustration in his heart.

From the Virendra family residence, Selly's face was radiant. Sally felt like a step away, she would become a rich man. The dream of having a conglomerate son-in-law is in sight. Contrasted upside down with Marina who looks lethargic.

"How did it go, Mom?" Rika was curious and immediately asked, as soon as Selly and Marina stepped in.

"Your sister's reliable, mother's plan worked. Any minute..."

"really???" Rika could hardly believe it, it was like a dream. Why is it so easy that the fate of his family will change. Although Selly said so advising Rika but who knows what is on her mind is just a waste of youth. Rika just wants to have fun without having to go through a long process.

Marina, who looked at Rika and Selly's behavior, was fed up. Marina was really disappointed, how could they look happy on top of Marina's suffering. Though Marina's dreams and ideals must stop. No one thought about his feelings.

After that, Marina headed for the room. In the room, Marina called her best friend. His feelings are now in turmoil, he needs a friend to talk to.

"Hi, Van..."

"What's up, Mar? Your voice sounds lethargic." Across the phone, Vania–sahabat Marina answered the phone.

"I've cut my ties with Randi..." Before calling Vania, Marina had already contacted Randi. He broke off the relationship over the phone. In the midst of his excitement and sadness after that Marina immediately called Vania.
