TRAPPING A RICH MAN

CHAPTER 1

"Mom.I can't do it. It's crazy" Marina insisted on rejecting her mother's crazy idea.

The fact is Marina was forced by her mother to do sneaky things for a huge profit. Marina's conscience rejected her, marriage is not a game.

This debate has been going on since Marina got home from work. It is not welcomed warmth even that there is a feud between the two. Selly is ambitious to make Marina as bait.

"What is your contribution to helping this family? Didn't you see it? The economic condition of our family is on the edge"

Marina looked at her mother's face, which seemed to be indifferent to her feelings.

"Are we now below the poverty line? We can still eat and make a little money for our needs, Mom" Marina's lips twitched and her chest felt tight. This is not what he wanted.

"Shut your mouth!" Selly's heart was blinded, she did not want to listen to what Marina– said to her daughter.

Marina could only cry lamenting her fate, she was also an ordinary human being who had dreams and ideals. When he was young, his life was long. What's wrong Marina craves for youth like most other teenagers.

"You don't see that both your sisters are in need of college and your father is useless leaving us with a debt that's piled up"

Marina knows her father has disappeared somewhere but is this the reason her mother has urged her so much to do such a despicable deed? Marina believes her father is not a loser who escaped from the pursuit of the leeches.

There are many ways to solve this problem, but unfortunately Marina seems helpless to talk let alone witnessed by her two brothers who are just silent.

Both Marina's older sisters, seen Tomi–si the eldest and Rika–number two just sat back relaxing staring at the quarrel between Selly and Marina. They consider the scene of her mother's quarrel with Marina to be just a spectacle, there is no intention of them to defend Marina's youngest sister who is arguing with her own mother.

"It should be that Kak Rika can go to college while working and also Kak Tomi why she is silent not trying to help, she just hitchhiked life like a prank." Marina pointed towards them with overflowing vexation.

"Hey, Mar! You think it's easy to find a job to get there. I tried but there was no way. You're throwing your mistakes at me" Tomi said.

Tomi does not want to be blamed when he himself is also wrong because he is so lazy. Some jobs are considered incompatible with her title, Tomi is too picky. His expectations are too high that he never wants to try it first and he prestige pioneering career from zero.

"You're not the same, it's not a good idea you just ask for and enjoy it don't have to be tired like we have to go to college and find a job" Rika chimed in. He is also lazy to work. Just want to go to college and have fun enjoying your youth.

Both Marina's sisters cornered her to the point of making her careless and annoyed.

"Shut up all of you! There was no need to comment if it only worsened this situation" Marina tearfully, her heart so sore that it was pierced by such a deep needle.

It is their lifestyle that makes life hell. They only wanted money and possessions without trying while the ones who worked hard to slam bones were Marina and her father.

"Look, Mom! Even with her own sister she dared to yell at" Rika continued to charge without feeling guilty.

"Marina! You have no manners. Your brothers are trying the same. They also want a career but it costs money. Do you have the heart to see us all living on the streets?" Selly is getting angry at Marina.

"How can you talk like that? I just graduated High School last year and I've been working for a year to address the needs of all of us. I even relented with Rika, I didn't go to college while she was in college and it cost me from my sweat, ma'am" Marina felt more and more tightness in her chest. This looked unfair in Marina's eyes.

"I've been raising you all this time, what's your reward for mom?" Selly said as if she was a nurse. He knew his daughter's weakness.

Marina choked, she was further cornered when Selly said her return. As a child, of course he would be indebted to his parents but is it worth Selly to charge him like that?

Marina sat down limply, her face down. Confused what to answer. In this position, Marina looks like an object of ridicule from the gaze of her brothers.

"Mom, I'm out first. At home for a long time made me not feel at home. Seeing Marina makes me sick of her, she's a useless sister" Tomi turned around to walk away from them. Tomi's words made no sense judging Marina as useless, a girl as smart as Marina was looked at with one eye.

Also followed by Rika, "I also want to go to a friend's house there is a lecture assignment. I'm so busy"

"Look at them all, Marina! They do not feel at home. They're trying to make a career out of our family name to be looked up to honor but look at you!"

Selly's words seemed to corner Marina. Here Marina impressed loser and useless. His hard work has not been looked at.

Marina was still silent, her lips could no longer say because it was useless if she spoke it would not be considered. Marina had given up on arguing with her mother who judged her shallow.

For what Marina struggled to learn to rank in her school since Elementary School until the end of High School, if her intelligent brain is not channeled to achieve goals.

If only Selly could understand Marina, of course Marina will also be able to have a brilliant career but her ability is not seen by Selly. That's what disappointed Marina. It was just a dairy cow.

"Mom doesn't want to know, tomorrow you have to follow my orders. Our finances are running low while your payday is still a few days away and not enough. Think carefully if you still want to think of you as a child"

After mengultimatum, it looks like Marina must resign herself to follow her mother's unreasonable request. His sense of service has not been seen as valuable before it can follow the wishes of his mother at this time. Marina felt a deep pain in her veins.

"Alright, Mom. I will obey this time" Marina's voice lowered. Although it sounded very slow, Selly's ears heard it clearly. His daughter agreed and complied with him.

"Good, tomorrow we'll do the stunt. You just follow the scenario that I'm about to give you. You just follow obediently. I'm sure everything will go well"

Marina is downcast, lethargic, imagining that she will trap a rich man for profit in order to support her family whose economic condition is difficult.

Her mother's petty thoughts lead Marina into the abyss of humiliation. How much this hurt Marina's pride. His body would be exchanged for abundant treasures if the plan worked.

In the corner of the room, Marina spills all her feelings with tears until she is satisfied. In his mind he was forced to marry an old man.
