CHAPTER 07. THE VILLAGE?

Thin fog still hangs, we walk between forest trees decorated with thin fog.

“You guys don't be noisy.” reprimand Ivon from the front

“We are in a foreign area, we are guests, can you not take care of manners?” said Ivon again

We moved quickly following Broni who was chasing after some of the torch flames, but strangely the more the torch was chased the further away.

I think the torch flame is avoiding us, maybe they are afraid of our arrival.

Far enough also we walked quickly following some of the burning torches, so it did not feel we entered in an area that is not a path anymore.

We were further away from the position the car was in, we went into a thicker forest than before.

“Stop... stop Bron!” shouted Tifano who was behind me with Gilank

Finally we stopped chasing some of the torch-like flames, but the flames of some of them kept on going towards a place, then they turned left.

My gaze followed where the flame of the torch was headed.but suddenly in the distance, at the bottom I saw the shadow of a roof of the house to our left.

In the darkness of the forest, there was still moonlight that reached the roof of the house on the left. But it's not clear whether it was really a settlement or what, obviously, the flame of the torch was pointing towards it.

“That's there rec... we just go there, there's like a village” said Bondet who now has the courage to hold hands with Ivon

“Iya rec, there is a village ketoke” added Gilank

“Mas Wil... uh what is the right direction?” ask Novi

I actually doubt I want to go there, because what I see as the village is not so far away actually, it's just that the place seems to descend in the ravine or in the valley.
