He snorted. "Well, well, outdoor always makes you crazy, Adel."
"You know, if I could choose where I was born?" many rhetoric.
"Yayaya, in a family of farmers, or hunters. Who goes out every day to find food," he sighed, "why don't you just be a forest man?"
"Oh, that's too extreme, Tatiana. And you know what?"
He shrugged his shoulders.
"I can't wait to escape from uncle's arranged debut. I don't need to marry a noble. I want to be an adventurer."Â A backpack that contains enough clothes and savings that I have not prepared in advance.
"Don't think so, Adel. Every girl wants to meet someone, fall in love, and get married. We no longer live in London, but we cannot change the traditions that have been going on for centuries. It's the only honorable way to get a husband." Tatiana said that while glaring far away. Very clearly visible on his face, if the young lady next to me is very conservative-minded.
"Sorry to disappoint you Tatiana, but I'm not from London" he recalled. Finding a husband is not my priority right now.
"Yeah, I know. But at least your uncle is a nobleman from England." His gaze when he said that was really annoying.
"But I'm not!" my exposition. After all, who would want to live locked up for years in a house, with boring noble men, and raise his children? Huh!
"Ehem! Young Lady Watson and Young Lady Leverton, how can I help you?" greet Mr. Avindale who had suddenly walked towards us.
"Oh, of course not, thank you. We were packing," I replied casually.
After giving a polite nod, my painting teacher retreated. Now it's just me and Tatiana in the sanggar. Immediately I took out a book of poetry and placed it in Tatiana's hands.
"I love you, Adelaide" Tatiana said, hugging the book. His curly-hanging black hair twitched as he shook the book as if it were the most precious thing.
"Give me the letter" I said.
With a big smile, he took out a scroll of parchment. Well, a new identity, stating my name is Rachel Black Leverton, a distant cousin of Tatiana.
"Use it as well as Adel! I mean, don't tarnish our surnames" he said, giving the affidavit.
"Don't worry, cousin. I just want to be free from that ceremonial event. After the matchmaking season is over, I'm going back to uncle's house." I opened the parchment and saw the Leverton family stamp embedded in the red seal wax.
"Thank you Tatiana, you are indeed the sister I never had.
"By the way, take care of yourself Adel. Don't trust anyone out there" he warned me.
"Of course, my Lady," I replied as I paid my respects politely.
"Okay, now let's have some fun out there!"
"Grandpaat!" my words are so excited. We also wear a brocade hat that matches their daily dress, then walk gracefully outside the classroom.
Tatiana and I are on a secret mission. My uncle doesn't know this at all. I had already left a letter on the dresser, which told her that I was staying at Tatiana's resting house for the summer.
