*SIR LUCAS KINGSTONE*
She was! Yeah, I'm sure it's him! The red-haired girl who had suddenly appeared in the lake. He really made me lose a little bit of self-control. If it wasn't for his cousin coming, maybe I'd have repeated this morning's deed.
I didn't think anyone could go there. The secret garden I accidentally discovered, has become the last resting place of Marriane and also our son who has not been born. The place was very hidden, and was behind a new hill. If he had no intention of spying, it would have been impossible for the artist to climb up and down the cliff until he got there. I'm sure he was a spy sent to sabotage. Well, regardless of her quite attractive appearance, such a girl must have been extremely cunning. I have to be careful.
"Sir Kingstone?"
"Oh? Pardon, me," I replied a little surprised. The call blew away all the thoughts that had just been set in the head. A girl came up to me, apparently they had finished eating.
"You have a very beautiful Manor. I was very fascinated by the architectural details and the interior arrangement" said one girl of Avindale's students.
"Thank you, Miss," I replied briefly. "Please enjoy dessert, I'm sorry." I left it at the corner of the pond, then walked towards the garden. From a fairly covered corner of this grove I can still observe the people by the pool.
To be honest, I'm lazy to talk to them. This lunch invitation for Avindale, was a mistake. Actually I just invited Avindale to see some of the paintings. I need his judgment very much, before auctioning the painting at a reasonable price. But he set me up.
Instead of looking for a wife for himself, Avindale instead offered his students. I don't know when the people around me will stop setting me up. Even though these girls are Lady who are obviously very respectable and have high taste. Unfortunately, there is only one Lady who will occupy the highest position in my heart, Marriane. He's irreplaceable.
"Where are you interested?" whisky Avindale. Suddenly he was standing next to me. One hand held a champagne glass.
"I should have been aware of your trap from the beginning" I replied.
"Just choose, Lucas. If not, your aunt will choose" he said.
"I thought we were best friends. I can't believe you're plotting with the old woman." I growled at him. Moreover, carrying the late father's sister who is also his stepmother, Aunty Regina.
"Don't complicate my position, Lucas. You know for yourself, don't you, if my loved mother has been angry?" he then raised the glass to a toast.
"If I get married, then I'll choose a painting as a wife. You know that, right?"
"Insane!"
"Haha. That's me!" He sipped a glass and emptied the contents.
"Who is he?" I asked, pointing at the girl wearing the black wig. She should have red hair, the color of her lips.
"Where?" ask Avindale.
"The girl who faces here, next to the blonde."
"Oh, the trouble maker. The painting is as bad as his attitude. Don't pick him, you're gonna make my stepmother have a heartache."
I looked at him with a 'got a good idea' look'.
"No, no, no, you wouldn't dare!" Avindale looks panicked.
"Try me," I replied firmly.
