Chapter 2 - Monsters

"Wosh."

"Take a look... squiit."

The typical cold wind of the countryside and the song of birds that are mutually unpretentious form a beautiful rhythm nan soothing.

The sun little by little shows itself, giving its grace and warmth to the whole world. A bright shining ray of life pierced through the grove of trees and in an instant came to me, right towards my face and some of my sleeping limbs in the grass in the middle of the forest.

"Ssreegg." (sfk: my body moves rubbing against the grass )

"Huaah." yawned with satisfaction.

With my body stretched out and both hands at my side, I woke up as usual not feeling anything strange, after a while I realized this was not my room.

"Huh!? This is where, why am I here?" panic, anxiety, and fear filled my mind.

I tried to calm down and look around, and remember what happened to me. I finally remember, last night while reading a novel there was a magic circle that suddenly appeared on the floor of my room and took me to a place in the middle of nowhere like this, Oh yeah my book where is it?

Searching for half an hour but never finding it, I gave up and sat back down, leaning against a big tree while thinking about what to do now.

Staying alone for an hour like a fool and thinking for too long will not get any answers or information. Finally I decided to go around, barefoot and wearing only t-shirts and jeans, I walked while looking for other people or locals to ask what place and where is this.

"Normal forest, there's nothing strange here" I said slowly as I continued walking.

Walking for a few minutes I finally made it out of the forest, and what greeted me was a small river, perhaps two to three meters wide with clean and clear water, the flow of water is not too heavy is perfect for relaxing.

"Hhhh! It is clear this is not in Indonesia." I said in my heart.

I approached the river bank with a slight crouch and took the water with both hands and drank it, then continued with a wet face to the end of my hair.

"Huaahh! It's so fresh." I cried with satisfaction because the water was so refreshing.

While sitting down and putting both feet in the river I rested, then ate some of the fruits I found while walking around in the forest, mostly berries.

With a full stomach and legs that felt comfortable as if being treated by a stream of water I dropped my body backwards, stretching out my hands while thinking of how to get home to where I came from.

"Let'soo!" yawning while looking at the sky.

The light blue color stretches from end to end, adorned with abstract-shaped clouds.

Drowsiness began to strike me, as if given a ballast, my eyelids were hard to keep open. Soon I fell asleep, entered the world of dreams and calmed my mind, which was thinking of things beyond reason.

"Mom, is this enough?" asked a blond girl with beautiful blue eyes and dressed in the modest attire of the rural community, her hands were carrying a small pitcher of water.

"Yes Lia, that's enough" replied the short-haired, blonde-haired adult woman, apparently the mother of the child, who was also carrying a water-filled jug of rather large size.

"Lia, let's go home!"

"Yes, mother." Lia answered quickly.

After fetching water in the river, the mother and child rushed home. Damn to them, something frightening was lurking around them from afar, within the thickets a strange sound was clearly heard.

"Grp...Arrggh." growled at the creature.

"Huh!?" the two women were shocked and stopped walking.

Simultaneously they looked back, towards the towering thickets of shrubs and weeds.

"Mother, what's that sound?" asked his mother while looking at the direction the voice appeared.

"Now we have to run and don't stop whatever's going on." the mother ordered, without answering her daughter's questions, seemed to feel a bad premonition.

"But!?"

"Quick put that water jug down.now let's run, hurry!"

Without warning they both ran away from the place, saw the prey fled the creature directly out of the bushes and began to chase the two of them quickly.

While running the mother glanced slightly back and saw the creature.

The little boy-shaped creature was slightly larger than his daughter, dark green in color, ears taper upwards, mouth full of fangs with a hideous sharp eye highlight and ran very fast.

"Please..please!" the mother shouted very panicked and frightened.

"Help us!" followed her daughter with a small voice and gasping for breath as she ran.

With long-sleeved clothes and long skirts all the way to the ankles, they ran as hard as they could while shouting for help several times, hoping that there was someone else around here.

"Well.hhh! whoever helps us."

Sounds underpowered, maybe because of running fast plus panic and overwhelming fear.
