Thousand Tricks of the God of Gambling

Thousand Tricks of the God of Gambling
Episode 6

It was now the turn of the Keling, and although he looked strong and dashing, the Keling emitted a fierce aura and was a martial expert.

However, his playing style is wary, and he rarely plays conservatively.

He glanced at his cards, which had no value on this round and immediately gave up.

Only the three of us were left at the table.

Andi continued to play conservatively and place bets, and players before me and I followed suit.

After a few rounds, Andi started to feel uncomfortable.

He pushed the Keling aside and said, "Move a little, you're blocking my view of Six."

Lao Hei rested his body on his chair.

Andi stared at my cards intently.

I knew Andi could only see the cards seen above.

He should know about the cards under him.

However, I purposely showed a bit of the second card by using a finger to cover the sign.

This way, Andi can only see Jack but does not know his sign.

A 10 and a Jack.

Andi thought that I at most only had a straight.

Feeling more confident, he continued to play conservatively.

After a few more rounds, the player before me started to hesitate.

He looked at his card, which was Pair 7, and after some consideration, placed a bet of 40 thousand.

Pair 7 is not considered strong in the game of Poker.

However, he thought that we had not seen our cards.

If neither Andi nor I had low-value cards or weak pairs, he would win with his Pair 7.

I also pretended to check my cards when he saw the cards.

In a small game like this, we can't be too aggressive.

At the table there are already six or eight hundred thousand, and I can take my winnings and leave.

After checking my cards, I purposely paused for a moment before placing a 40 thousand bet.

Andi who saw my doubt was getting more convinced.

He concluded that the best I had was a straight with a 10, a Jack, a Queen, or maybe just a Pair.

Feeling increasingly bold, he continued to play conservatively.

After a few more rounds, Andi began to hesitate.

The reason is, he has not seen the mark of the Jack card or the third card of mine.

He turned and looked at Susan and asked, "Darling, do we have to look at our cards?"

Susan did not hesitate and said, "No, let's keep playing conservatively!"

Andi knows his limitations and purposely takes Susan to help him read the cards of other players.

Unfortunately, Susan sits behind Andi and is also hindered by the Keling. He couldn't see my cards clearly.

After a few more rounds, Andi suddenly stopped.

I guess he was wondering whether to open my cards or not.

However, unexpectedly, he approached and tried to forcefully open all three of my cards.

Immediately I camped out and looked at him angrily, pressing the cards.

"What are you doing with my card? Do you know the rules of playing cards?"

I meant to give Andi a warning, hoping he would back down.

But I never thought Andi would misunderstand my intentions. Suddenly he stood up straight and aggressively faced me, shouting, "Then know what? Wanna fight? I'm telling you, little boy, if you can play, play. If you can't, just go! Say one more word, and I'll teach you a lesson today!"

Normally, Andi was arrogant and very appreciative of herself in the bathhouse. He never paid much attention to the staff.

After he finished nagging me, Si Keling scowled disapprovingly and said to me, "Can you play or not? Otherwise, go and don't waste all of our time!"

I just silently laughed in my heart.

Play?

Sure, I can play!

Today, I will have fun playing with all of you!

I started shuffling the cards.

Shuffling is the basic card trick in a poker game.

There are many techniques: fake shuffling, jump shuffling, diagonal shuffling, and even perfect shuffling methods.

No matter the method used, the goal is to ensure getting better cards when handing out.

The techniques used when sharing are also very numerous. For example, a fake split can make it look as if the top card is being dealt, when in fact the top card is not moving, and the split starts from the second or third card.

There is also a lower division and a middle division.

They function in the same way as a fake division but are shared from the bottom or middle of the stack.

When I first learned the card trick, I asked Mr. Seis.

I asked if mastering these techniques would guarantee victory?

Mr. Seis shook his head.

I asked again, how do I ensure victory?

Mr. Seis says that there is only one way.

Don't gamble!

No gambling is a win!

I understand that principle.

But as a card swindler, my fate is tied to gambling.
