Ameland Lighthouse

Aiden kept his bike riding down the road, then parked it and walked up the grass high enough for no definite purpose. His mind was dead-end to do especially when his footsteps came to a halt right in a tall building that was right in front of his eyes. His original destination was the beach but he was already standing in front of the Ameland Lighthouse, the lighthouse was no stranger to him because little Aiden had once climbed up there and cursed for almost a full day when he had a great fight with his half-brother, Reichard.

“It looks like we are indeed a match.” Aiden said as he patted the wall of the lighthouse many times.

Aiden recalled, ten years ago he climbed the lighthouse steps one by one while saying many prayers. There were two hundred and thirty-six steps and so many prayers and hopes.

“But none of them have been granted hahahaha.” Say it again in its solitude.

“There is no harm this time I again say all my hopes again, ahh I do not know if I can go up, my legs are tired. No feeling to walk far until here.” Aiden Mumbled.

Aiden, who initially hesitated, finally decided to turn his body around and leave the lighthouse. But at that very moment he saw a human shadow that instantly dodged from him.

“Wie..” (Who?) Aiden asked the shadow.

But the shadow disappeared behind the many tall trees surrounding the lighthouse.

“Geest of mens?!” (A ghost or a human?!) Ask Aiden again.

“Hihihihi..” The shrill answer from the shrill female voice made Aiden then also aghast in shock.

“Sial! If you're a ghost shouldn't have to answer!!” Maki Aiden, he immediately ran away from the source of the frightening sound.

“Hahahahaha basic Aiden fool!” The ghostly voice that Aiden feared returned to scold him.

“Do dutch ghosts speak Indonesian?” Ask Aiden to himself.

Aiden continued running without daring to look back again. He looked for a bicycle he had placed not far from the lighthouse. But now there is not only one bike there, Aiden saw another bike that is also parked right next to his bike. And he recognized the two bikes belonged to Haghen opa.

“So that ghost..” Aiden turned his body, trying to find a shadow figure that was no longer visible to him.

His fear turned into a very high curiosity, who was the figure of the woman behind the shadow who had just frightened him. Aiden was convinced that the woman must be from one of his extended family or an invited guest who came to Reichard and Emily's wedding.

“Who is he, coming alone on nights like this?” Ask Aiden curiously. He decided to go back to the lighthouse.

The atmosphere of silence accompanied by strong sea breezes makes the atmosphere even more tense for Aiden, the, he continued to walk every step and the ins and outs of the tall grass until he finally returned to a lighthouse door that had been slightly opened. Aiden decided to enter the lighthouse.

“Haiii, who are you? You understand Indonesian, right? Don't just go upstairs! If anything happens to you me and my family will also be bothered! Quickly down!” Pinta Aiden with an echoing voice inside the lighthouse.

“Down! At least you have to get permission from the host!” Aiden's orders again.

There was no answer there, Aiden only heard the echoes of his own voice.

“Cih! I'm tired of knowing...If you've climbed up, I'll wait for you here!” Aiden was upset.

When Aiden had just sat on one of the stairs, at that time he heard clearly the sound of footsteps stepping on one by one of the stairs in the lighthouse. Either the footsteps are down or up the stairs. But surely the footsteps were increasingly heard far away, Aiden increasingly convinced the shadow figure had climbed the stairs in the lighthouse was getting higher and higher.

Until finally he saw clearly the long-haired woman who looked far into the darkness of the night from the top of the lighthouse. The woman also wore a white-colored snoring dress.

Aiden stared more at the woman's feet, wanting to see if her feet were treading or drifting. When convinced the two women's legs were treading Aiden also ventured to step closer.

“Do you know him?” The woman asked greatly to Aiden's surprise, she was well acquainted with who the owner of the soft voice was.

“ILY?..” Call Aiden slowly. ILY is Aiden's favorite call to Emily.

“Moyna..” Said the woman slowly.

“Hahh Moyna?” Aiden doubtful. She's sure it's Emily's voice, not Moyna's.

“Do you know Moyna? Secretary Rei's sexy brother.Secretary who also turned out to be a lover of Rei's brother for the last two years.” Emily asked in a very sad voice.

“Job ILY...” Aiden immediately turned Emily's body to face him.

“How did you get here?, where's Rei? Why would he let you walk alone to this place?!” Aiden hugged Emily tightly, knowing that Emily must have been deeply hurt by knowing who Moyna was.

Aiden had wanted to hug her sari earlier this afternoon when she saw firsthand Emily's distressed face strokes along with Reichard. Even Aiden wanted to instantly pull Emily away from her uncle.

“You have one office, you know who Moyna is Aiden...Hiks, why did you never tell me that it turns out that brother Rei already has a lover.” Isak cries Emily while hitting Aiden's back many times.

“I'm sorry.” That's all Aiden can say.

“You know I saw them making out in my bridal room...Aiden pain..Sick my heart, hurt to make me broken...very broken..” Emily continues.

“ILY, jujur. Akupun sebenarnya baru mengetahui skandal mereka satu minggu sebelum pernikahan kalian. Mereka sangat pintar menutupi hubungan mereka.” Ucap Aiden.

Emily moves her body so Aiden can take off her embrace.

“One week can make me sure to cancel the wedding if only you'd be honest Aiden!” Emily's Protest.

“Whatever I want to do, but..”.

“However?”

“Did Rei tell you about opa disease?” Ask Aiden.

“You know it too?” Ask Emily.

“Yes, opa told me all about her illness. His whole life opa never asked me anything, until he asked me only one thing. That helped her prepare for your wedding.” Answer Aiden slowly.

Emily swallowed her saliva which felt sore in her throat. She cursed everything that happened to her on the first day of her marriage.

“ILY, did you also use a bicycle to come here? What about Rei? Did he know of your departure the night of your wedding?” Ask Aiden again.
