The World's Different Lover

The World's Different Lover
Traveling in the Village of the Past (2)

This forest is endless, irritated, annoyed, angry and tired mixed into one. Although the streets mapped on his brain, but it is estimated that the palace is still far away. What should you do to get the trip accelerated? Bayu was afraid he would be late to get there. No, the Princess should not be someone else's soul mate.

But after a rather cold day and began to darken, Bayu's ears again heard the sounds of the noise of rural life boisterous. The female voices were speaking in thick Javanese; the subtle Javanese she had been taught in school by the teacher. The clattering of footsteps stepping on the dried leaves, also someone who was blowing fire and was able to smell the smell of food that was lodged on the stove. Maybe it was not far from here, he thought. So he spurred his horse to run faster.

“Why is your path slowing down?” ask Bayu to the horse he was riding. “Or are you tired?” The horse neighs in response to his question. “Alright, if you're tired. We'll sleep in the next village. And you can eat as much there.”

Finally the forest was thick, the jungle had passed. After a kilo meter walk—then he again found the fields of residents and the vast countryside. Apparently the village was on a rather high plateau so the horse looked exhausted because it continued to climb without stopping. A glimpse of his childhood movie appears. He was like he was in a world of teletubbies, maybe a bit like that.

Small animals such as; butterflies, dragonflies, and bees are still many here, a sign that there is still plenty of clear and clean water. In contrast to the actual life in which it grows, about the increasingly rare of such animals caused by the deterioration of nature. It is true what the elder said, that the world that became his birthplace is nearing destruction. The real destruction. But even so, Bayu never regretted whenever God created it. Because He is all-knowing, and He has a certain purpose when, for what and for whom a creature like himself was created.

Bayu smiled when he found a group of women looking for lice on the heads of his friends. But strangely out of so many souls, all of them women, there is not a single man. Maybe during the day, men will work to find food, he thought. Some are young and some are old. Beautiful typical of ancient people, wearing kebaya in general and the bottom is wrapped around batik cloth.

“Punten, Ma'am, Mbak ..” said Bayu greeted and was nod by them simultaneously.

“Where are you going, Kang Mas?” the question is just a stale base. But his gaze can not be separated from the body of Bayu who may look strange. Wearing jackets, jeans and denim shoes today. But then they can immediately understand because maybe he came from a distant direction and certainly their customs are different.

“I want to go to the Kingdom of Sivalingga,” replied Bayu. Then tied his horse's rope to a bamboo pole that seems to be used to hang clothes.

“Oh, still a long way from Kang Mas. Kang Mas from where?”

There's no way Bayu said from the future. Later it is assumed that he is a person who is less sane. Then, Bayu explained that he was from Bangkalang village. The village that they did not understand because they simultaneously shook their heads.

One of the women said, “This is the name of Wadon village, Kang Mas.”

Bayu had a smile because the name of his village was very strange. Wadon is female if translated in Indonesian.

“Yes, that's why everyone here is female, no one is male,” says another.

Oh, just so quick, Inner Bayu screeched. Out of curiosity Bayu finally asked why this village in say village women and no men. That said, he said every flower widow whose husband died would be banished here. Because according to their belief, the widow of flowers is a woman who is already unlucky and should not marry again because it can take the next victim. Sometimes, ancient people are difficult to understand about the beliefs they profess. They obey things that are actually impossible to happen and do not make sense.

Is death not divine destiny? The fate that has been set as it should since he was destined to live in the world? I don't know. Bayu is dizzy and refuses to think about it.

Bayu sat down to join them. I talk a lot about this village. About how they live without a man, which is not easy. But because they get used to it, slowly they can finally accept.

But there is certainly a lot they miss from a man, especially his love. Many of their greatest hopes were that this belief in the fox because they wanted to live a perfect life, could remarry to give birth to their successors to the world. I want to live a normal life like any other woman in general. You can be a mother, you can take care of your children until they grow up, and you die feeling happy. What a heartless desire. Simple life is okay for him.

“Then destination Kang Mas, come there for what?” ask one of them.

Any more questions like this echoing in his ears?

If Bayu answers honestly, is he not considered strange?
