Saving Hostages

Kai and Noire were completely out of time. They had no choice but to break through directly. The remaining rescue time was 45 minutes and it was constantly reduced.

"Curtain! We're really out of time!" mumbling Kai bit his index finger.

It became Kai's habit when he was being chased for time. Noire who saw Kai was already panicking like that immediately spoke up.

"Kai! I have a plan, but it'll be risky for you" Noire said.

"really! Quickly say, I will do even if I have to sacrifice myself!" sahut Kai's.

Noire began to explain the plan he had, Kai who heard him looked at Noire seriously.

"Well, I agree with the plan!" said Kai.

"Then, I'll start it" said Noire, who began reciting her magic.

Noire's plan is to use fire magic on the Goblin in front of him so that Kai can sneak well in the Goblin crowd. After successfully reaching the cage, Kai will free the hostages and will give Noire the code to open the way with his fire magic again.

When they were finished, a firestorm rained down on the Goblins and caused them to panic. Kai who sees the opportunity immediately uses it to sneak in with his Super Speed. Then he opened the cage padlock with his sword. The Goblin King noticed this and immediately attacked Kai.

"Basic little intruder! Get rid of you!!"

The Goblin King swung his greatsword towards Kai. With Kai swiftly holding him back using Skull Fang, it was fortunate that Skull Fang could still hold out for one more powerful attack. Kai tilted his sword slightly, causing the Goblin King's sword to slump towards the ground. He did that so the girls wouldn't get hurt.

"NOIRE!!" kai shouted giving the code to Noire.

Noire, who heard Kai's scream, immediately threw two magic scrolls and when the two scrolls fell, two walls of fire emerged from their place until the girls' cage was held.

The Goblin King had wanted to launch his next attack, but Kai immediately took out a Blind Potion and threw it towards the Goblin King.

"Aargh! My eyes!! You all quickly catch them back!!" the Goblin King's.

"Quick! This is our chance to escape! Follow me!" said Kai.

Kai activated Sword Dance and ran while swinging his sword. The girls followed him from behind. The Goblin Mage tried to turn off the wall of fire, but Noire did not let it go. By all means, Noire defended the wall of fire.

Kai had no intention of killing the Goblins at all, but still some were cut off by his sword. The girls who saw the incident shuddered in horror, yet they still tried their best to hold on. Some of the Goblins were burned to death by hitting the wall of fire due to the push of Kai's sword. They were lucky that there were no Goblin Chief, Commander and Champion within the wall of fire.

The Goblin Champion tried to get close, but Noire did not let him. He shot fire arrows whenever there was movement from other Goblins outside the wall of fire. Sensing that Noire was a threat to be cleared up first, the Goblins ran towards Noire. Seeing this, Noire smiled and raised his right hand quickly. Two walls of fire immediately appeared before the Goblins heading towards him. (Note: If you are confused imagine it, the shape of the 4 walls of fire will be like this __| |__)

Kai who saw that immediately sped up his pace and told the girls to run. Noire tried to hold the Goblins inside the first and second wall of fire. Some of them died immediately because Noire puncture hit right to vital points such as the heart, head and throat.

After Kai came out, Noire would remain behind as an obstacle to the Goblins or so their plan was. Kai deactivated Sword Dance and ran towards the exit of the Cave. However they met some Goblins who were patrolling. Fortunately they were still in a state of oblivion to Kai's whereabouts, so it was very easy to kill them in a single strike on the neck.

They kept running to get out of the Agravia Forest, unfortunately they did not meet the player. If they met the player, at least the two of them could leave the girls on the player around while they held back the Goblin army that was still chasing.

Kai did not know, that there was actually a special knight army along with several players who were on standby outside the Agravia forest. The reason why the knights knew of this was that a player who took on a reconnaissance mission in the watchtower found 2 players and 8 NPC girls running from the huge wave of Goblins behind them.

The player immediately tells the danger sign by ringing the bell. The knights who knew of the possibility of a wave of monsters appearing immediately prepared themselves and an Emergency Quest was given to all the players within the city.

"A little while we're gonna crab" Kai failed to finish his sentence because an arrow hit his shoulder.

"Kai! You're good-ba-"

"Don't stop! Keep running!!" yell Kai.

Noire and the girls had no other choice but to do Kai's orders. While Kai immediately woke up and pulled an arrow on his shoulder. Kai immediately drank the Mana Potion that could recover 50% of the current Max Mana, he did not drink the Health Potion as it was not very important to him at the moment.

Kai also ate the food Noire gave him which increased his Mana limit by 2000 for 30 minutes. After eating it, he passed his Mana on Skull Fang as much as possible. As his Mana approached 500, he immediately drank two Mana Potions and drained the Mana back into Skull Fang. Kai repeated that up to 5 times. He also activated skills that increased his attacks such as Strengthening and Magic Burst.

"Where's the Wave!!" he shouted loudly and unleashed a huge wave of energy that wiped out nearly 6000 Goblins, even some Goblin Champion and Goblin Commander died from the attack.

But because of that, Kai was forced to lose Skull Fang because he could not stem the Mana that was flowed by him. After that he sat down to accept his death that was in plain sight.

"Sorry, Noire," he murmured shut his eyes.

But at the same time a wall of earth appeared before Kai. Some screams were also heard in his ears. Currently there were thousands of troops and players who started the attack.

"Claris! How come?" kai is confused.

"Noire told us!" reply a man carrying a big axe that is none other than Roni.

"Sorry it's too late, man!" continued.

"Haha, you guys are really very late to know!" sahut Kai's.

"Y!!!!"

"Tung-woaah!!"

Kai falls to the ground due to the arrival of Noire who suddenly comes to hug him.

"Noire! You know, it's a little heavy," ledek Kai.

"Stupid! I thought you were gonna die!" sahut Noire's.

Noire starts scolding Kai all out, seeing that Claris and Roni can do nothing but wait for Noire to finish. Kai could only apologize repeatedly and explain the reason he did such a desperate thing.

"The bottom line is, I want the girls to meet their families again" Kai explained.

"I understand! But next time don't repeat okay?" noire replied, Kai just nodded in response.

"Have finished? We have a job here!" Roni.

"Well! Let's finish off that green thing!" sahut Kai is excited.

"Before that, you have to recuperate first don't you!" claris hit Kai on the head with his stick.

"Ugh. sorry," muttered Kai.
