The Woman the CEO
Ch 12~ Expectations And Reality

“Not a bitter reality, but our expectations alone are too sweet.”

Ayana Humaira, a shy girl who always follows Ken's movements, through the eyes and also rigid body movements. She was just a girl who was captivated by the attraction the son of the sultan could not have. Yeah, at least that's Ken's point of view. From the past until this moment.

Ken's memory doesn't fade that easily, there are even some memories he wants to erase but can't, because he doesn't have full power over his brain. And Ayana is one of the small parts that go into Ken's brain memory.

Sometimes being smart has its tiredness for Ken too. During his youth he was always praised for being connected with his intelligence. Winning various olempiades to the international level makes Ken more and more in the spotlight from people around. Ken is tired of the intelligence he has, people are ecstatic about him.

Oh Ken you'll be the champion.

Oh Ken I'm sure no one will beat you.

oh Ken you're smart so just relax, you'll be a winner.

Those voices that often emerge from those around him, make Ken unknowingly try to reach people's expectations, rather than use his standard of ability. That is not Ken's obligation. Although he failed and people were disappointed it was not the end of everything. But failure is a lesson.

Ken remembered one day, he who was only human had a failure. Expectations that are always merged by people around suddenly receded. Instead of encouraging him who was failing, people just looked at him. People's gazes weaken his self-confidence and hurt Ken's self-esteem.

That view is like saying, Tenyata Ken can fail too yes, or Tenyata Ken is not as perfect as they think.

Under the shady tree Ken remembered once only one figure came to him after he had failed and that figure was Ayana Humaira.

“Total of this.” The tiny hand was stretched out, a bottle of packaging that seemed to be filled with the cold was presented before Ken.

Ken's eyes lifted until he could reach freely a girl who was standing in front of him. With a gentle smile and plain bead eyes.

A moment—, only for a moment Ken was silent. Until the wind that blows felt on the surface of his face resuscitated Ken.

“I'm not used to receiving other people's gifts.” Ken refused the gift. Where else his mood was not okay.

“Receiving the gift of others will not make your self-esteem fall, ken.”

Ken stared dejectedly at the figure in front of him, on the left of the gray uniform that the girl was wearing Ken could see, Ayana Humaira's name was knitted perfectly.

The girl again brazenly pulled Ken's hand, until the cold bottle was moved into Ken's hand.

“Don't dissolve too long in Ken's failure. Sometimes expectations are not as sweet as reality.”

Ken's lips are cynical, oh it turns out this girl is wrong from the many people who highlight her life.

Not yet had Ken expelled the girl in front of him, the girl spoke again. With a gentle tone, with a tone of comfort, with a tone of conviction.

“Passion Ken, hold your head up, lift your chin up high like yourself all this time.” Ken scrunched up both of his eyebrows. Staring in disbelief at this figure in front of him who dared to pat his shoulder, and gave a sentimental spirit bellowing.

“Do not lead the achievement based on the expectations of ken people, because if you fail people will not take part in sad dribbling with you. They will only see from a distance, just like before. They are just spectators who want sweet fruit expectations.” Interject with speed.

Being the words of hand in Ken's life, so where might Ken forget the figure of Ayana.

“Thank you for the drink.” Ken reviewed the smile, for the first time a narrow smile and made his face even more radiant. A smile that always tries to want people to see because they are tired of seeing the face of his feet. Smile it—, smile it—, given to Ayana.

After asking the question the room was filled with silence.

Ken could see the look on Ayana's face looking surprised. The eye bead looked completely rounded.

A smile of victory flashed on Ken's lips.

Ken had no time to get an answer, the door of the room suddenly opened.

“Kenan Prasetyo, we're coming bro! Finally we, can plan our get-together again.”

Dave spread his hands his lips laughing wide, so wide as it pleased. But his wide laughter seemed to dim instantly, because of the quiet atmosphere of the room. And Dev could now see Ken's eyes stare with their eyebrows intertwined, like they were going to devour him alive.

Then his gaze turned to the side of the sofa that was not empty. Dev lowered his outstretched hand, replacing it with a swipe-like motion on the two sides of the jacket he was wearing.

“Wah it seems I came at an inappropriate time huh, haha Dev laughed crisply. Can sense that the atmosphere between Ken and the girl in front of Ken is in serious fashion.

Hey what's going on here? Oh, my God, I have to run away now. Ken looks really upset.

Ken stared hard at Dev. That made Dev even more convinced he was coming at a very inopportune time!

Sometimes the expectations of people around will be burdensome. So come on now, don't make their expectations something you have to achieve.
