#Flash Back On
As a start, Sky still couldn't forget the way the woman refused to look at him the day he told her about the Ellard case.
One day three years ago, Isabella called to tell her that she was coming to her office to talk to herself.
As he heard the knock on the door and saw the woman standing in his doorway, Sky smiled.
Sky can remember it very clearly, probably because of how rarely he smiled in those days there were not many things that could make him happy during the two years he worked for Ellard.
Sky still feels haunted by the moments of his disguise that lasted so long and has difficulty returning to live a normal life on a regular basis. He also does not sleep at night, and that obviously does not help.
But as far as the difficulties he faced to get back to doing office work, there was one part of it that did not mind him working with Isabella Sovie.
Sky began to feel worried, somehow his heart was always pounding unbecoming when he met Isabella Sovie. Though they only talk about Ellard's case work, even though there are in some moments I they are just alone.
And in the moment – like this Sky himself has a different taste on this assistant prosecutor.
Sky doesn't know how to describe it, I don't know! Maybe because too long in disguise makes his mind a little soapy.
"Come in" Sky told him.
As Isabella stepped inside her office that afternoon, for the first time the woman did not return her smile.
"Will your comrades not join us?" ask Isabella .
"He's on his way. Why don't you sit around while you wait?" Sky pointed at the chair in front of his desk.
Isabella shakes. "No, thank you! I'm just standing.”
After working together last month, Sky knew Isabella well enough to know that she was not doing well.
Sky felt that something was wrong at this moment. It was just that he could not guess what!
Unlike usual, Isabella is nervous and unfriendly. Their conversation was stiff.
Sky really felt a bad feeling about this. "You said you wanted to talk about Ellard. Is there a problem with the case?" Sky looked at the worried looking Isabella.
“ Yes so..” Answer Isabella briefly.
Isabella's eyes turned towards the door. "Maybe as good as we can keep waiting for your partner." Isabella bites her lower lip restlessly and Sky is unable to ascertain what is really bothering her at this time.
The more Isabella fidgets and bites her lips, the more Sky cannot keep her gaze away from Isabella's lips.
“I can go crazy!” Sky said in his heart. Sky stood up from his seat, walked around, and closed his office door.
He stood before Isabella. "Is there something you're nervous about, Isabella?."
"Capt Sky, I thought...." Sky cut the woman's words.
"Just be Sky, okay? Have we not always called names? I didn't call you assistant prosecutor, did I?"
Isabella looks restless again. He briefly looked outside. And as Isabella turned her head back outside, Sky did something that shocked the two of them, she reached out her hand and touched the woman's chin gently. Sky turned the woman's face to look at her. "Tell me, Isabella. Tell me what the problem is."
As Isabella's beautiful, sea-blue eyes met her eyes, Sky felt something similar to the jolt of electricity directed at her by Ellard's men during her two-day incarceration. Only this time was definitely more fun.
"Sky" whispered the woman. "I'm sorry a....'
The knock on the door surprised them. Sky and Isabella broke away when the door opened. Felix stepped in, surprised to find the two of them standing there.
"Oh, hey, I'm sorry I'm late." he's sitting on one of the chairs in front of Sky's desk.
Sky and Felix have long been partners. It certainly made him not feel awkward inside Sky's office.
Felix crossed his legs and looked up at Isabella. "Sky said you wanted to talk to us about Ellard?"
Felix's voice sounded stiff and agitated.
And strangely Felix focused his attention only on Felix. "I want to tell you that we have made a decision. We will not press charges against Boy Ellard. Or anyone else in his organization, for that matter."
There was silence in that room. Sky broke. "You're not serious." Said Sky.
Isabella still did not dare to look at Sky.
"I know this isn't the outcome you two were hoping for." Continue Isabella while smashing her fingers that feel cold.
"What do you mean, you're not going to press charges?" ask Felix.
Felix was the liaison between Sky and the police during Sky's two-year incognito and knew all the dirty things they dug out from the man they were after.
"Our office decided there wasn't enough evidence to bring the case to trial" Isabella said.
Sky tried with all his might to contain his anger. "Omong empty. Who made this decision? Did DOnald?" ask Sky to Isabella.
Felix stood up from his chair and walked back and forth.
"That scoundrel. All he cared about was his own reputation," said with a look of disdain.
"I want to talk to him" urged Sky.
Isabella finally turned to Sky."No need to do it. This .. is my case. And this is my decision." Say it with a throat that feels very painful.
"Omong empty. I don't trust you." Exclaimed Sky.
"Sky, just calm down!" Said Felix who knew very well that Sky was starting to be unhappy.
Isabella tried to stay calm. "I realize how frustrating this is...." Isabella stopped, as Sky stepped closer to her. "Creating frustration? Frustration can't describe what I'm feeling right now. You've read the file, at least I assume you did until about a minute ago, now I'm not sure what you or anyone else in the Milan prosecutor's office did. You know who Ellard is and all the things he does. What are you thinking, huh?" Shoot her at Isabella.
"I'm sorry" said Isabella stiffly. "I know what you've been through during this investigation. Unfortunately, there's nothing more I can tell you." Replied Isabella who really regretted not being able to support Sky until the end.
"Of course there is. You can tell me who the man in the Milan prosecutor's office Ellard paid to make this miracle happen. If it wasn't Donald the duck who made this decision, then...." Sky fell silent to give Isabella a probing look once again.
"What do you think, Felix, should we do a little checking on Ms's account. The sovie? We l hat did he get a huge deposit that was unusual lately?"
Isabella walked over and looked into Sky's eyes deeply. "You've crossed the line by saying that, Capt Sky." Isabella .
Felix stepped between them. "Alright, I think we should all take a step back for a moment and calm down." Felix tried to mediate.
Sky ignored. "I want an explanation" he urged Isabella.
The woman stood stiff, challenging Sky's gaze with fury. "good. This all happened because you took your cover off too early. I hope that explanation will satisfy you, because that's all I can give you."
Isabella's words really hurt Sky's self-esteem. Even though Sky had no choice, he still blamed himself every day for the fact that his disguise was uncovered.
Instantly, Sky's voice turned icy cold. "Get out of my office." Get her out on Isabella.
"I'm just leaving" replied Isabella.
"But there's something else, if you have any doubts about where my loyalty is or about my dedication to my work, you can just ask me, Capt Sky. But if you peek into my bank account, you better have a subpoena or a defense attorney."
“Felix, I'm leaving!” Isabella nodded at Felix to hint goodbye.
Felix looked at him. "I know you're angry, Sky, and I'm very angry too, but be careful. Isabella Sovie may still be new to her office, but she remains an assistant Milan prosecutor. Maybe it's not a good idea to accuse him of corruption."
“i don't care! Me and my men two years in life for nothing.” Said Sky.
"alright. I'm gonna talk to Halbert," he said, naming their boss. "I'll try to figure out what's really going on." He walked over and placed his hand on Sky's shoulder. "In the meantime, you need to calm down. Go home, get drunk, whatever, just stay away from this office before you say anything else you'll regret."
Sky also nodded.
