The Widow of Bahenol

The Widow of Bahenol
Ujang introduced himself.

"Where are you from, son? What's name?" ask mang Ibing.

"Originally I am from the village next to Pak, among the villages there, my village is the most tip," replied Ujang, while tidying his hair with his palm.

"Sorry, if I may know, you know how to know my son? How do you know Yati? Maap ya Nak Ujang, because my son is a widow, and just divorced, so I want to know, when did you guys get acquainted?" ask mang Ibing.

Ujang was silent for a moment, he began to arrange words.

"I also forgot when I met him Sir, but at the beginning I met, I had already started to be interested in Yati, and I happened to now face to face Mr, if I am not polite to say this," replied Ujang.

"Yach, indeed the power is going in that direction, it's obvious look," murmured mang Ibing inwardly.

"If you are pleased, let me and my family come here Sir, to propose to Yati, but I also do not know when the time, which is important, you have allowed, manyun if the time comes, but I also do not know when the time is important, I'll tell you the time, sir" replied Ujang.

Mang Ibing nodded his head.

"Yes, I allow if Nak Ujang's family will come, the important thing is tell us not to suddenly yes, better from far away, let us be better prepared," said Mang Ibing.

Ujang smiling part gets the green light from mang Ibing, his future in-laws.

Thank you very much sir, for the blessing," said Ujang, as he grabbed the hand of mang Ibing, then shook it and kissed the back of the hand mang Ibing.

But Mang Ibing smiled cynically, while his cynical smile was unknown to Ujang.

After bathing and getting dressed, Ratmi walked out of the room. He heard the voices of people talking. And Ratmi also saw Yati, sitting in the living room, exactly behind the curtain.

"Why are you there?" ask Ratmi.

Yati attitude was nervous to hear the question from his mother, he also corrected his seat while tidying up his long hair.

"Ah, no ma'am, just sit down," replied Yati.

Ratmi slightly looked her head out, then she asked Yati again, "There's a guest outside?"

Yati smiled and nodded. She timidly replied,

"Yes ma'am, there's a guest."

Ratmi scrunched her forehead, then asked, "You know the guest?"

For a moment Yati fell silent, then she smiled faintly and nodded.

Ratmi starts to get suspicious with Yati's attitude which looks a little embarrassed.

"Don't, the guest who came was his friend who came with him when he came home, um, it could be. Ah Yati base, Yati. Why do you behave like this? That's how you know a man, who is not clear about his juntrungannya," muttered Ratmi in the heart.

Ratmi stepped out, and joined the Ibing and Ujang mangs. Then Ratmi greeted them,

"Eh, there are guests." Ratmi sat among them.

Ujang immediately grabbed Ratmi's hand and regretted it. Then Ratmi asked,

"Whose name is Nak?"

"Ujang Bu, I am from the next village, the third village in the downstream," replied Ujang.

Ratmi scrunched her forehead and thought a little. "Third village downstream?" he murmured in the heart. "Isn't the village very famous for men with many wives? The men there mostly have more than one wife." Ratmi muttered back in her heart.

Rahmi watched Ujang, from head to toe, Ujang's tall and well-built body, his handsome face, Ratmi also watched him carefully.

"Mom, later Nak Ujang said he wanted to come again with his family, now he introduced himself, and expressed his intentions towards Yati, our son. Just now you also told him, how Yati status, and it seems like Nak Ujang does not mind," said Mang Ibing.

Then suddenly Ratmi asked Ujang, "And Nak Ujang himself, have you ever been married?"

Ujang was surprised to hear a question from Ratmi, Ujang choked while sipping his black coffee.

So, spilled some coffee. On his shirt, "Oh, yaah spilled!"

Ujang immediately shook off the coffee spilled on his shirt, then he got up and stood up.

Ratmi also took a clean cloth and gave it to Ujang, "On the lap aja Nak Ujang."

Ujang also grabbed a clean cloth from Ratmi's hand, then rubbed his clothes to clean up from the rest of the coffee spill.

"Other times be careful Nak Ujang if you drink hot coffee, so it does not hit his clothes," Ratmi reminded.

Ujang smiled bitterly and nodded his head as he said, "Hehehe, yes Mom, I'm careless."

The time was getting late in the afternoon, and a few moments later, Ujang was saying goodbye to go home soon,

"Mon maap Father, Mother, Ujang pamit go home first, afraid of kemaleman on the road, not good, dark streets."

"Oh yes, Son Ujang, please," said Mang Ibing.

Ujang also touched both.

Intentionally mang Ibing did not call Yati, while Ujang hoped if mang Ibing or Ratmi called him.

Mata Ujang started guerrilla, while his attitude was read by Ratmi.

"Yari Yati huh? Yati again inside, maybe take a shower, or take a break. Nak Ujang if you want to go home please, later mom to greet him," said Ratmi.

Expulsion, subtly. Such was Ratmi's dislike towards Ujang, she showed it subtly. But it seems like Ujang doesn't understand it.

But Ujang's eyes still turned towards the inside of the house.

Mang Ibing and Ratmi stared at each other. But because Ujang did not get what he wanted, Ujang immediately said goodbye, and greeted them.

As for Yati, who was still behind the curtain, her attitude was sour, and her face was bent by eight.

After Ujang came home, Ratmi immediately tidied up the bamboo bale, and lifted the coffee glass that Yati served to Ujang.

Ratmi went inside, without looking at the living room, where Yati was there, behind the curtains.

Ratmi deliberately did not turn her head towards Yati, because Ratmi was sure if their conversation had just been heard by Yati, so according to Ratmi, she did not need to explain back.

Ratmi continued to step into the kitchen, while Mang Ibing got up from his seat and entered the house, because time soon entered Maghrib time.

Apparently, Yati's return this afternoon was known by Asep and Usep. Usep was watching Ujang, and conveyed what he knew to Asep, his brother.

"A', Usep's wealth knew the man, Usep often saw in the fields beside the school, he worked in the fields beside the school," said Usep.

"Oowh, um Us, you actually see that guy a lot?" tanya Asep.

"Yes A', he's a foreman who works in the fields next to Usep's school, the performance of petenteng challengers, many people who do not like him, but why would he come to our home? Does Father or Mother have any business in that person's time?" ask Usep.

"Aa' also do not know Us, it was fitting to go home to play, already in front, in bale chat with the Father, seemed very familiar, maybe even friends Mr. Kali, maybe, or again there is the same business, Mr." said Asep.
