Chapter 24 - The Journey to the Peak of Mount Kledge (Part 1)

After booking a room at the inn. "Me and Zack in this room. Rowan, Wilson, Zuma. You guys are in that room with this merchant !. Try to keep the three of you alternately watching this merchant and do not let your guard down !. Oh yes one more, to make sure this bed*bah, if necessary need to tie his hands on the bed !." Captain Albert's orders while pointing to the rooms Zuma had ordered.

"Okay, Captain !!!." Rowan, Wilson, and Zuma answered simultaneously. "Zack, come with me !." Captain Albert whispers to Zack.

"Good, Captain." Answer Zack. Zack follows Captain Albert to the inn's bar.

"Captain, Zack. Where are you going ?." Ask Zuma. "We just wanted to talk to the owner of this inn. You guys go to your room first." Answer Captain Albert.

"All right." Zuma replied as he walked back to the room he had booked at the inn.

"Captain, let me guess. You want to make sure the information the merchant gives you is true or not, right?, and your answer to Zuma was to force the merchant to tell you the truth if for example he lied, right ?." Ask Zack..

"Yes, that's right. As you always respond, Zack." Answer Captain Albert while walking with Zack in the corridor of the inn to the bar in the inn.

"Hey, are you the owner of this inn ?." Captain Albert asked a big, thick-moustached man who was washing the glasses in the bar.

The man stopped washing the glasses and dried his hands with his towel.

The man went back to washing his laundry "So, what do you want to talk to me about ?." Ask the man while washing his laundry.

"Is it true that there is a building where we can buy information from Foerix in the forest at the foot of this mountain ?." Ask Zack.

The situation at the bar became silent for a moment after Zack asked.

"Haha....... I knew this would happen. Of course we don't ask for it for free. Looks like you need this and it looks like this inn will soon go bankrupt, now we're the only customers here." Said Captain Albert while putting 5 gold coins belonging to Arthur Smith which each weighs 10 grams.

But the big man did not respond.

2 Minutes later. "Still not wanting to answer, huh ?. What can you do, you're forcing me to use this way, buddy." Captain Albert pointed his gun at the man.

"Please shoot me. I don't know what you're talking about anyway." Answer the man.

Captain Albert pulled the trigger from his gun. His shot hit the shin of the man's right leg.

"Aarrgghh......!!!" Shouted the man in pain. "Right now you have only 2 choices, which is to die at my hands or die at the hands of Christopher Maximus' subordinate." Said Captain Albert.

"You think I'm afraid of your words !!!." Answer the man. Captain Albert once again pulled the trigger from his gun. This time Captain Albert's shot hit the calf from the man's right leg.

"I suggest you choose the first option, because before you die killed under Christopher Maximus, you can feel a little wealth with these five gold coins belonging to Arthur Smith. Unless you want to die pathetic in your current state." Said Captain Albert.

"What is that sound ?. Rowan, Zuma check what's going on outside !." Wilson's orders. "What about you ?." Ask Zuma. "I'll keep an eye on this merchant." Answer Wilson.

"You sure ?." Ask Rowan. "Of course, so quickly check what's going on outside !." Answer Wilson.

"You'd better take Captain Albert's offer." Zack said to the man who was moaning in pain.

"Kill me, ke*rat !!!." The man replied to Captain Albert. "Haha...... What can I do. I'll enjoy this moment." Said Captain Albert.

"That's enough, Captain. Calm yourself, let's solve this problem with a cool head. Acting out of anger is tantamount to fighting with your eyes closed." Zack said as he restrained Captain Albert who was walking closer to the man.

"What is this ?!?." Rowan asked as she ran with Zuma towards the inn bar. "Friends help me stop Captain Albert, he's out of control again." Zack answered while trying to stop Captain Albert.

"Oh, jeez. Captain, wake up !!!." Rowan said while helping Zack stop Captain Albert.

"Hey, kep*rat. Be aware, if you die in this state, what is the fate of those who still depend on you !?!." Zack said as he restrained Captain Albert to the old man

Zack's words changed the man's mind. "alright..... I'll answer your questions." Answer the man.

"Phew...... Finally." Zack said as he sighed. "The building you're referring to is called the Liberly Island Information Center Building. It is not located in the forest that is around the foot of this mountain, but is at the top of this mountain. You can use the walkway in front of my inn to get to that building and that's the only way to the Liberly Island Information Center." Said the man.

"Is this the only information you can provide ?." Ask Captain Albert. "I'm sorry, but this is all I know." Answer the man.

After hearing the man's reply, Captain Albert immediately walked back to his room. "Zack, what are we doing with this guy ?." Ask Zuma.

"Find me the key to the empty room of this inn !." Answer Zack. Zuma and Rowan quickly fiddled with the workbench of the innkeeper.

"Can." Rowan said while taking the key to the inn room which was in the closet under the work desk owned by the innkeeper's man.

"Alright Rowan, Zuma. Help me lift this guy up !." Zack's orders.

Arriving in the empty room of the inn.

"Rowen, Zuma. Get me a knife in the kitchen of this inn, a clean cloth, and a bucket of clean water !." Zack's orders.

After retrieving the items that Zack requested. Zack cleaned the wound on the innkeeper's leg, then gouged the bullet stuck in the man's leg, after which Zack covered the wound with a cloth. After that Zack, Rowan, and Zuma returned to their rooms to rest.

"Good job, Zack." Said Captain Albert.

"Yes, you too, Captain. What an incredible show. Now we know that the merchant didn't lie." Zack.

"Yes, you're right. But don't you see there's something weird ?." Ask Captain Albert. "What, Captain ?." Ask Zack.

"Both the merchant or the man who owns this inn. They initially refused to answer our questions even though their lives were at stake, but after we associate them with the family or people left behind, they immediately comply." Answer Captain Albert.

"Yes too, Captain. But by the way, are you serious about your whole words today ?." Ask Zack.

"Which word am I ?." Ask Captain Albert. "All the crazy things you've been saying all day, especially your threats to the merchant that you're going to slaughter his family." Answer Zack.

"Of course not. After all almost all my actions to the merchant and to the man who owned this inn came spontaneously or suddenly from within me." Answer Captain Albert.
