Approaching the announcement days of school graduation, many students will celebrate by holding a farewell event that if abroad is called prom night. Likewise with the elite school where Ayunda school and coincidentally the event will be held tomorrow.
At first Ayunda was so enthusiastic to participate in the event and dress up very beautiful and maximum. However, after hearing the conversation between Bima and her mother earlier, and also the advice of her younger brother, the enthusiastic feeling suddenly evaporated somewhere.
Ayunda threw her body on the bed and stretched out, staring at the ceiling of her room. Sometimes the girl closed her eyes and opened them again.
The girl got up and sat back down when her phone rang, a sign that someone was contacting her. Ayu exhaled before deciding to answer the call, because the one who was contacting her right now was Clara, a middle-aged woman whom she respected besides her mother.
"Hello, Auntie!" sapa Ayunda tried to neutralize the vibration of his voice.
"Well, why haven't you reached home yet? didn't you just say you were on the road to Auntie's?" clara's voice as usual, was always softly heard.
"Okay, sorry Auntie, I forgot to tell Auntie that I'm back home,"
"Why come back again? something left or what?"
"There is no Aunt. I just feel like going there would be a waste too. I'm sure that Bima will not be taken for a walk. So, I'd better stay home" said Ayunda forced to lie.
No response from Clara. All that was heard was a heavy sigh coming out from the mouth of the middle-aged woman across there. "I'm sorry, honey! Aunt really does not feel good about you, because of Bima's attitude," Clara's voice sounded very soft.
"It's okay Tan. Aunty does not need to apologize, because Aunt is not wrong at all. Ayunda smiled her sweet smile, forgetting that her smile could not be seen by the woman on the other end of the phone.
Their conversation was finally interrupted after Clara left to do something. Ayunda was just about to put down her phone, suddenly the door of her room was knocked by someone.
"Well, you're inside, aren't you, son?" from his voice can be ascertained that the one who knocked on the door was the mother.
"Come on, ma'am, the door is not locked!" pekik Ayunda from the inside.
The door to Ayunda's room was opened slowly by her mother, and entered with a box in her hand.
"Son, are you okay? Arya said you were in the room and again sad, is that true?" anisa asked her mother Ayunda gently while stroking her daughter's hair.
Ayunda smiled and shook her head. "No, Ma. I'm doing fine. Look, I'm smiling right?" Ayunda tried to cheer up, covering her sadness behind her happy mask.
Anisa took a deep breath, and exhaled it back into the air. However the daughter showed a happy expression, as a mother who gave birth to her, she knew very well that the smile and cheerful face shown by her daughter was simply camouflage.
"Yu, you can't lie to Mama, son. No matter how hard you hide your sadness, mom still knows that you are sad again. Why are you again? dicuekin same Bima again?" the intonation of Anisa's voice sounded softer than before.
Ayunda finally could not hold back her tears from falling. Finally the woman's fortress collapsed and also heard the words of the woman who gave birth to it. Finally he told what he had heard about what Bima and Clara were talking about.
"Ma, am I really bad? am I being rude? should I change as gently as Michelle for Bima to see me?" ask Ayunda streak while sobbing.
"Who said you were bad? you are very special, Son. You are special in the eyes of people who can see your strengths. Oh yes, mama also wants to say that no bada needs to be changed from you. Don't change just to attract attention or to please someone. Just be yourself, son!" anisa said at length.
Ayunda was silent and did not respond to her mother's words. However, the girl still tried to digest well the advice of her mother earlier.
Ayunda smiled and hugged her mother.
"Ma, I was thinking carefully and I made up my mind. I want to cancel my match with Bima!" said Ayunda firmly although still seen there is still a little doubt in the eyes of the girl.
Anisa's eyes suddenly grew gasped in shock at her daughter's decision. How not? the woman knew clearly how persistent her daughter was approaching Bima, even to the point of begging the father to be betrothed to Bara's son.
"Are you serious, Son? mama didn't hear wrong?" ask Anisa to make sure.
Ayunda smiled and nodded her head." I'm serious, Ma. From today on, I want to make myself valuable. The only way, I have to step back and stop chasing Bima's love. I'm sure I can forget it!" ayunda said excitedly and with great confidence.
"But son, canceling your matchmaking is not easy. Because of the possibility, there will be a bad taste that arises between your father and Om Bara, which of course can make their relationship tenuous. Moreover, you also know that Aunt Clara is very fond of you," Anisa looks doubtful.
On the other hand, there is a happy feeling to hear his daughter's decision, because after all as a mother, she is always sad if she sees the face of Ayunda who is always grim every get rejection from Bima. But on the other hand Anisa really did not feel good Bara and Clara.
"Mama take it easy! did you forget that Om Bara and Aunt Clara were wise? I'm sure with us giving a reasonable reason behind this cancellation, Om Bara and Aunt Clara will not object and will be understood. I'm sure Om Bara and Papa will remain friends." Ayunda looked very sure.
Anisa was silent for a while, thinking about Ayu's words. The next second the woman ? then smile and nod his head.
"Well, if that's your decision. Mama can't force you anymore. Mama will try to talk to your dad. One thing you should know, Mama, Papa and your sister will always be there to support you,"
"Thank you, Ma! Ayunda hugged Mama again and Anisa returned the hug of her daughter while giving a kiss on the top of Ayunda's head.
"What's in that box, Ma?" after the arms of the two women of different ages were released, Ayunda pointed towards the box that her mother had brought when entering.
"Oh, here's your order dress that you're going to wear tomorrow at your school breakup. Try it first!" Anisa grabs the box and gives it to Ayunda.
Ayunda took a heavy breath and put the box back on the bed.
"I'm lazy, Ma. I was no longer excited to attend the event. I don't seem to be coming. I really don't want to see Bima again, so I can forget her." Ayunda was not excited.
Anisa, smiled faintly and sat back on the bed beside Ayunda. "You can't be like that. We must remain present. Not for Bima but for your friends. It's a farewell, son. Do not be because of Bima, you are not present," persuaded Anisa.
Ayunda shook her head, not refuting her mother's remarks which she said were true. After a moment of silence, Ayunda smiled again and nodded her head. "All right, I'll be there. At least to meet Michelle one last time, before I go to college abroad,"
Ayunda's last words, made Anisa gasped in shock, because there was no previous talk that her daughter would continue her education abroad.
"Outside Negri? what do you mean, Yu?" anisa's eyebrows are sharp-linked.
"Eh, I haven't talked to Mama yet? I plan to study abroad Ma and will not return to Indonesia, before I finish my studies. I made such a decision so that I never met Bima again, so that I could focus on learning and quickly forget about Bima," concluded Ayunda with great confidence.
