The Tears In Marriage

The Tears In Marriage
Papa

Alora was eager to shout loudly at this moment. He hadn't driven this car for a long time and now he's behind the wheel and driving his own car. In fact he was no longer escorted by his two bodyguards. Reinal really kept her promise to give her freedom.

Alora's current destination is her parents' second home. Even though they were the main reason he was stuck in this marriage, they were still his parents. Alora also actually misses her parents, especially her mother.

Thirty minutes later, Alora finally arrived at her house. He got out of the car and walked into the house.

Alora's big smile returned when she saw her mother who was reading a magazine in the family room. With wide steps, Alora walked closer to her mother.

Alora held her mother's shoulder from behind. Feeling that someone was holding, Mama Alora turned her head. Spontaneously he stood up from his seat and walked around the sofa to reach Alora.

Mama's warm embrace made Alora feel better again. He breathed in the scent of his mother's body. Alora misses her mother's embrace so much.

"Mama misses you, baby."

"Lora misses mom too. Sorry for not visiting my mom lately" Alora replied.

Mama let go of their embrace and held both of Alora's cheeks with both palms. The next second he also brought Alora to sit on the sofa he was sitting on.

Mama Alora's hands are not separated from this only daughter. Her soft smile also never faded when she saw the face of Alora who was in front of her at the moment.

"Mama still can't believe you're here right now. You're still mad at me for your marriage, Lora. Mama's so glad you're back in this house and visiting mama."

"Alora where might be angry with mom. After all, everything has happened, no need to regret. Now it's... Alora just wants to let go of the longing that Alora's been holding."

Alora let go of her mother's grasp. He began to lay his head on his mother's lap. Seeing that, mama Alora began to gently stroke Alora's hair.

Alora tried to hold back her tears from dripping. I wish he would tell his whole problem to his mother now. But Alora did not want to make her mother sad because of her. He did not want his mother to be a lot of thought because of him.

Alora tries to hold back and keep her whole problem to herself. He did not want to involve his family in his problems.

"Reinal treated you well, right?"

But as powerful as Alora save her household problems, as if knowing her mother even asked so.

Alora nodded her head. Maybe at this time a little lie he had to give so that everything looked fine.

"Mama's relieved that she treats you well. At least you can be safe with him" said Mama. Alora who heard that was eager to laugh. He never felt safe with Reinal.

"Let's lunch together.. Papa you're gonna be home again. But it looks like Bara can't come. You know he's busy with his job."

"Bara works like that to prove to you that she can stand on her feet, ma. I also really want to be like Bara. But you married me and threw away my dream."

"Sorry baby.. I'm sorry that my mom made you forget your dreams. Mama doesn't have the power to do anything for you."

The atmosphere on the dining table looks very quiet. Only the clanking of spoons and forks could be heard there. Until papa Alora opened a conversation between the three of them.

"Papa's glad you could come here. You should also bring Reinal to our house."

"Other time, I'll bring Reinal here."

Alora continued eating. For some reason, every time he wanted to talk to his papa, Alora seemed to run out of words and did not know what to say.

"If Bara were just like you, papa would be happy. Bara's age is almost in his 30s but he's still not married."

"Leave it first. Let him enjoy his hard work first. Bara also said he would marry when he was ready" said Mama.

"It can't be like that. I will never be ready to talk about marriage. He still could not forget that woman. We as parents have to guide and select women who are suitable for Bara."

Alora tried to hold back her words from saying anything. He didn't want to make a bad impression on his father.

"Alora... What do you think Bara likes? Papa has prepared some women who are suitable for Bara. Moreover, the women who papa choose from a respectable family. Papa will show you some of their profiles later. Alora put down her fork and spoon. His appetite suddenly decreased hearing his papa's words.

"Until when do you always make decisions according to your will? It's big, pah. Whom she wants to marry. Papa doesn't have to pick a woman for Bara."

"Papa knows what's good for you. Like Reinal, he's a good guy for you. And the woman you'll choose will be good for Bara."

"Why do good or bad things based on their possessions, right? are they from a respectable family or not? But papa never asked what we really wanted. Marriage is not just about possessions, Dad. We need happiness, too."

The face of the elderly man slowly changed. He stared fixedly at Alora's face, Annoyed by what her daughter told him. "Don't say it like you already know everything Alora. You and Reinal know absolutely nothing about the couple you chose yourself. The couple you say will make you happy" said papa Alora.

"We know very well the couple we chose, pah. They even know us better than you know your kids!"

"Alora enough. Do not continue this conversation. Mama please, stop."

Alora was silent. He turned his head and looked at his father who was still full of emotions, clearly visible on the look on his face that held the anger.

"If papa agrees with Bara's choice, maybe now papa is playing with papa's grandson. Bara also won't be in his office for long. Papa's selfishness destroys the happiness of papa's children," Alora said as a closing of this conversation.

"Necessary from Bara. Papa will wait for your grandson!"
