In the afternoon it was so calm, the sky was reddish orange that it was not too dark. The sounds of small animals also filled the quiet atmosphere.
Among the buildings lined up, a girl dressed in white with a blend of blue cloth, was seen focusing on reading in a gazebo, near a small lake. He read one by one the pages of the book that looked quite old, the paper was brownish and there were some small tears at the end.
Occasionally he fixes the annoying strands of hair, tucking them behind the ears.
The skin is soft, looking very pretty from the side. Everyone even acknowledged that her beauty was the prettiest in the western region, defeating the beauty of the Third Princess from the King of the country. However, it was a pity that the girl had absolutely no magic energy, and she was rumored to be mute. What a vain beauty.
In that world, magic power was everything. The strong are in power. Discrimination against the weak often occurs. The leaders or leaders of the country often close their eyes, the weak will still lose. Even though you were born into a noble family, you will definitely be banished by society.
A very sick world system. Rinka hates him. It is as if there is no justice for the weak, who should be protected.
Because I focus too much on reading. Rinka, the girl was so unaware of someone who had walked over earlier. The girl who was two years younger than Rinka stopped not far from her place. He then looked at Rinka expressionlessly, watching her movements.
"Everything, you'll never turn smart. Because you were born a fool."
Hearing the innuendo, Rinka just tightened the grip on her book. Replying to the taunts from his sister would only be bad.
"Ah, I forgot you were mute. But you're not deaf, are you?" Mia, the girl is breathing rough. "Listen, tonight you're not allowed to set foot in the main house. Never show up in front of people. Or your reputation will be ruined."
I already know. Rinka just retorted in her heart, reluctant even just to lift her face.
Seeing her sister's indifferent attitude, Mia frowned feeling annoyed at being ignored. He quickly picks up the book in Rinka's hands and intends to throw it into the lake. However, he stopped once he saw Rinka's expressionless face that was like a soulless puppet. Mia then throws the book aside in disgust, stomping her feet as she walks away.
Rinka could see Mia who was moving away while clenching her hands. He felt astonished, even though he did nothing and just stayed in place, that alone made others hate him. Just by looking at it, it can make people feel sick as if he is a bully.
To be honest, Rinka dislikes it when people stare at her in disgust, always insulting and demeaning to her. He hated them all. Though not his desire to be weak, whereas when he still had strength, they all flattered him, treating him with respect.
Why does the human heart change so quickly?
Sometimes what he thinks when he is feeling down over the humiliation obtained is death. He wanted to die and end his suffering. However, he hated himself even more who did not have the courage to end it.
Realizing that a long time had passed and the sun had sunk, Rinka moved away from the place after picking up her book and returned to the room.
From the outside, he could hear boisterous sounds starting to fill the front yard of their house, it seemed like the celebration was about to begin.
Tonight will be held a celebration to welcome the return of the warlord who again brought a great victory for the country of Nakahara, after winning the war with the country that has been at odds for quite a long time.
He had been warned not to try to come, well even if allowed, he would still never come.
Rinka was lying on her wooden bed. Placing his hand on his forehead while sighing a long sigh.
He slightly smiled wryly, at least today a good thing happened. Today there is no insults all day long that will make his ears feel hot. Even though it was a small thing, he could still be grateful. At least he could read his favorite book all day without any distractions.
Today ..., on his birthday. Exactly ten years have passed since that incident. It was an event that turned his life into suffering.
Slowly the drowsiness began to strike, Rinka closed her eyes letting the dream goddess take her to the subconscious.
...***...
Rinka woke up with cold sweat filling her forehead, her breathing panting with a racing heartbeat. His dreams always unconsciously frightened him.
Again he had that nightmare, a dream that seemed to remind him of a bad memory. No matter who, but he always trembled as if he felt the same fear that the girl in his dream had experienced.
Rinka dreams of a black-haired girl who cries sobbing. Her face was not clearly visible because the girl always looked down and covered her face with her hands.
The girl was terrified, amidst a sea of corpses as well as blood that looked like a river. The dark clouds, and the sunyinya of the place always make Rinka can not stop shaking. It was as if he had experienced it himself, alone, among the pile of corpses.
But all of that is just a dream. He just had to forget about it and wake up as usual.
Adjusting his breath to calm down, his net fell into the star-studded night sky. He could see it clearly from behind the window. It seems like the night is still very long. Unfortunately, because of a dream just now Rinka felt unable to go back to sleep peacefully.
In the middle of a quiet atmosphere. The soft creaking sound from the direction of the door caused his attention to be distracted. Rinka looked at the corner of her room carefully. Not just his feelings, but the door was indeed slightly open. Curiously, he set foot to check if there was anyone in front of him, or if it was his carelessness that had forgotten to close the door.
Rinka grabbed the doorknob, her ears quickly caught the sound from behind, and before she could react anything, a sharp object quickly pierced through her back. Slicing the skin and flesh past his stomach, the pain instantly crept along with the blood that began to flow stained the clothes and soaked the floor.
Rinka's hand gripped the doorknob firmly, she was silenced to see the shiny sharp object in her stomach. His body began to drift to the floor. Rinka felt a tremendous pain radiating throughout her body. His energy as if drawn out and disappeared instantly, a sense of tightness began to surround him.
"Sorry Miss, this is Master's order."
...***...
Clack.
The sound of water dripping very clearly.
Rinka, the girl doesn't know how she got stuck in a very dark place. There's nothing to see. Even the star-studded sky he had always seen seemed to be covered in dense clouds.
Rinka just realized that her body was in a standing position. He could feel his bare feet cold from touching the water. Why is he here?
Not knowing what kind of place he was in, Rinka tried to guess where he was, waking up in a standing position made him quite confused. He began to step in search of a way out, or at least look for a glimmer of light that could illuminate it.
The place felt so empty, so calm and silent, except for the sound of his footsteps walking in the puddle of water, the sound of the wind could not even be heard. A really empty place.
Steps ceased. The light he expected appeared. However, in one blink of an eye, he seemed to be pulled back as fast as light.
It moved places.
In front of him, Rinka sees a female figure in the middle of a blue lake. Both hands are bound by a long chain of invisible ends.
The bright blue sky stretched out wide right above him. Around it is a bamboo garden located on the edge of the lake with clear blue water. The rustling of the leaves and the sound of small creatures sounded comfortable in the ears.
Across the lake, there is a large building that looks like the King's castle.
Rinka's gaze was again shifted to the woman. He sat down with his eyes closed. It does not float on water, for there is a footing supporting its body. Why should it be in chains?
His long black hair touched the surface of the water below. He was wearing plain white clothes. His hand that was shackled in chains looked pale white, like a corpse.
Rinka began to feel curious about the figure in front of her, but she could only observe from the lips of the well far enough away.
Suddenly, the woman raised her face to meet her red iris with her sapphire blue iris. There was no expression, but a powerful aura instantly enveloped the atmosphere. Rinka felt the air around her turn heavy.
So pretty. Rinka subconsciously admired the beautiful look of the woman. However, I don't know why he felt familiar with that face. He felt like he was looking in the mirror, looking at himself with a more mature look, as well as black hair.
The woman exuded a powerful aura that accompanied her beauty. The white skin that looked pale, those thin lips had almost no hue anymore. Rinka almost thought that the woman had died, if only the woman had not looked at her now.
Over time, Rinka starts to creep. The woman stayed in her position. Rinka has memorized some mythologies of evil creatures that he thinks are creepy. His mind drifted everywhere.
"Finally we meet, little girl."
His strange thoughts were dissolved after hearing the woman's hoarse voice and replaced by surprise, did the woman know that she was coming to this place?
Suddenly everything went white. Rinka again felt a strong pull, and the shadow of the grinning smile from the woman became the last sight before she woke up.
Rinka looked around, apparently she had returned to the real world.
A strange dream, he thought he had really died at the hands of the stranger. Damn, his dream was really terrible. Thank goodness he was still alive.
Yes, he's alive. But why did the clothes he wore change?
Rinka remembers going to bed, she was still wearing white and blue clothes. Now he was wearing a yellow-colored outfit that was a bit smudgy on his body. Whether it was just his feelings, but Rinka felt his body had shrunk, like returning to being a child.
Rinka looked up, looking at the star-studded night sky, no longer the ceiling of her room.
It was in a forest.
Dizzy feeling whack his head. As a huge boulder struck, the memory of when someone stabbed him with a sword re-twisted clearly, along with some foreign pieces of memory that belonged to no one, began to fill his head.
Rinka tried to digest all the events that were twisted in her mind. Random circling like a broken cassette and making his head hurt. Despite being in shock and disbelief, all of those images eventually led him to one conclusion.
... He died and was reincarnated into someone else's body.
To be continued.
