Epiphany

Riyant walked alone by the lake that day, he sat in the middle of the grass by the lake, staring at the lake with sadness, his mind was fixed on Clara and his heart. Riyant knew Clara's decision was right, the girl did not want to disappoint her friends.

Someone startled Riyant, making himself turn towards the source of the sound quickly, “Oh? You,” said when you found out that that person was Mikki.

“You like to come here?” asked the man when he had just settled himself next to Riyant. “No, only rarely.” Riyant replied, Mikki nodded and looked at the lake before him.

A few moments of silence between the two no one has opened the conversation, “ I think this is like a child, you know? We even like the same girl. I'm sorry, I don't know if you like Clara, I think you're just friends like me and Princess,”

Riyant turned to Mikki, “why are you apologizing to me? There's nothing wrong with us, it's just not-“ time

“False feeling,” Mikki cut Riyant saying, “maybe,” Add.

“You know, remembering Clara's words that day. Before I was sure if he liked me too, I even wanted to live my life with him. But the longer I knew that the wounds that had been in his heart he could not overcome alone, so I wanted to be with him to make him happy. But I realized that, all this time he was wearing a mask if he was okay. No one feels okay when he gets bullied. Both in real life and on social media, but Clara tried to survive and be herself, me and Clara realized that she was very valuable. He told me that now he knows that even though he is not perfect he is still valuable and that however much he loves himself, he cannot have any of us because of his unhealed wounds, and also he was afraid of making someone hurt because of it.”

Mikki fell silent, listening to what Riyant had to say, despite his focus on the lake before him, but Mikki understood what Riyant had to say. Mikki was silent thinking, does she also love herself? did he realize that he was valuable too?

“You used to think that you were valuable too, just like you saw someone you love. Is a sense of worth to the person we love just as much as a sense of worth to ourselves? do you feel you're useless? If it means you can't appreciate yourself, when it's obvious God can't make us useless,”

A second later he understood Mikki's words, turned back to the lake and spoke to Mikki. “That means, we can't love ourselves yet, isn't it hard to love ourselves than to love others? Even when something bad happens we blame ourselves even worse we blame God,”

“When I met Clara, I realized that she was so precious without seeing the real me. Although Clara told me to love myself more but I couldn't, I was too focused on her and ignored myself. Now I understand why Clara rejected me, because she wanted me to love myself more, and also let me find my true self. That goes for you too.”

Both Riyant and Mikki, they realized something like they should be more able to love themselves before they love others. Just like the Princess, when with Mikki he took off the mask he was wearing because he said Mikki can accept him as the real person compared to others, it is true, so, and the Princess felt that it was part of Mikki's love for her, but she mistakenly thought.

Although the Princess likes Mikki, it is not expected that Mikki even likes other people. He realized that love could not be forced, even though he had everything but it did not apply to love. Love cannot be coerced or coercive, they are neutral according to feelings neither of them.

As for Clara, he tried to dampen his feelings for Riyant, because he did not want to lose himself nor did he want to make his friends disappointed, according to him, friendship relationships are much more fun than having to have and be owned in another context. Clara hopes that in the future, she and her friends can find or be met with the right person.

Today, they realize that Epiphany, or the moment when they are conscious of something like loving themselves, is harder than loving others. They as well as some people out there should learn more to respect ourselves, because basically we are all valuable. These imperfect bodies, hearts and souls that are often overlooked, they shine within. They know that imperfectness in oneself is a precious thing to be grateful for.

Maybe there are so many people out there who are not confident because of their physical, remember friends, you are all valuable. If you feel bad, try to tell yourself that you are very valuable in anything.
