Chapter 5 Bonus

Dona waits for Evan and Carlos in front of their school gate. Not long ago the sound of a bell signaled the time to go home. Evan and Carlos dropped out of class.

" Van, why do you still want to hang out with these orphans?" Reza asked as he blocked Evan and Carlos's path.

" He's not an orphan, he's got Mama and Papa. Carlos is my brother and you have to remember that!" Evan exclaimed not to accept if Carlos was bullied by his friends.

" But the truth is he's an orphan. I don't want to be friends with orphans, don't you guys." Shouted Reza to his friends.

" I don't want to be friends with Carlos!" Excited one of Reza's friends.

Evan felt very furious, he clenched his hands and pulled Reza's collar.

" I'm going to let you go this time, because I still think you're my friend, but there won't be another time. If I hear you call my sister an orphan again, I'll never stay silent." Threatens Evan and then takes off Reza's collar.

" Van, we better get going now, Mama's gonna be waiting for us in front." Carlos said, pulling Evan's hand.

Evan and Carlos walked out of the gate. Evan continued to grumble, but Carlos just kept quiet, he did not care about the words of his friends. Then they get in the car.

" Where is your school?" Dona asked while looking at her two children.

" It's good, Ma." Carlos said with a smile on his face.

" Carlos lied to Ma, were friends on bullying Carlos and meeting him with orphans. Carlos still has Mama and Papa, doesn't he Ma?" Ask Evan.

Dona nodded her head, not realizing that her eyes were now beginning to recall hearing her son's words.

" Who said it's like that, baby?"

" Reza and his friends Ma." Evan.

" Isn't Reza your best friend?"

" Now no longer is Ma, whoever hurt my sister, then she's no longer my friend." Evan said annoyedly.

Carlos feels very happy because now Evan is defending himself.

" Thank you." Carlos said with a smile on his face.

" For what?" Evan asked curiously.

" For everyone, thank you for being my friend at school, thank you for standing up for me when you treat me badly." Carlos Said. Evan hugged Carlos very tightly.

" From today on I will not let anyone hurt you. I will take care of you, you are now my sister. As a brother, I should be able to protect my sister. Isn't it Ma?" Evan said as he looked at Dona.

Dona nodded her head. The woman was very happy to see her son was now able to think mature. His worries had all this time vanished just like they had swallowed the earth.

" Wouldn't you go with Mama?"

" Where are we going, Ma?" Ask Evan.

" Mom wants to visit my best friend."

Evan and Carlos looked at each other, "But we haven't changed Ma's clothes yet." Carlos Said.

" Yes Ma, didn't Mama often say, we have to change clothes first if we want to play?" Evan chimed in.

Dona seemed to be consumed with her own words, "If so we stop by to buy clothes first, after that we just went to the house of Mama's friend, how? You guys want to?" Ask Dona. Evan and Carlos nodded their heads.

After finishing buying clothes and changing clothes, Dona drove her car to Tari's house. Rumah Tari is not too far from Frans' office. Only half an hour's drive from Frans' office.

Now Dona and her two children are standing in front of the house. He knocked on the door of the house.

Dance who just put her son to sleep, heard the sound of the door on the knock. He walked out of his son's room and set his foot toward the main door. Dance opens the door. He was very surprised to see a figure who was now standing in front of his house.

" Dona!" Exciting Dance surprised.

" How's Tar doing?" Dona asked while returning her best friend's hug.

Dari tells Dona and her two children to go inside the house and tells them to sit down.

" What do you want to drink?" Tawar Dance.

" What have you got out of everything." Dona said in a joking tone. Dari has long not heard jokes from his best friend.

" If this handsome guy wants to drink, what, baby?" Tanya Tari while gently rubbing the tops of Evan and Carlos' heads.

" Can't you have the syrup Mah?" Ask Carlos to Dona.

Carlos was embarrassed to ask the owner of the house, he just bowed his head. Evan who saw his sister's behavior only let out a long sigh.

" Aunty, can't we have some ice syrup?" Ask Evan.

" May dong darling." Say Dance while gently rubbing the top of Evan's head.

" Yes, aunt made you drink first." Connect Dance.

The dance then goes to the kitchen and is followed by Dona.

" Where is your son Tar?" Dona asked while helping Tari make drinks for her two children.

" Keysa just slept." Saying Dance. Dance pulled the chair and then sat her body.

" How was Carlos after his parents left him?" Tanya Tari then pulled Dona's hand to sit next to her.

" Yes as you can see now, he is now a quiet boy." Dona said then took a deep breath.

" Evan was jealous of Carlos, he felt himself excluded. Frans and I had to do what. Carlos doesn't want to be separated from me while Evan still needs me very much." Connect Dona again.

Dance can feel what her best friend is feeling. He tries to give support to his best friend to stay strong. He believes his best friend can get through all his problems. What's more he had a good and very understanding husband like Frans.

Dance recalls how Frans struggled to get the love of her best friend. He was even willing to become a love slave for the sake of this friend of his. Until the impression of the proud and arrogant Boss had vanished from within him.

After they finished talking, they returned to the living room. Evan and Carlos drank some ice syrup from Mama.

" Oya Tar, Kevin's performance is now getting better and more satisfying. My husband is very satisfied with your husband's work." Flatter Dona while putting potato chips in his mouth.

" Kevin is like that, he has a lot of respect for your husband and he promised to devote his life to the company. Thanks to your husband now my family life is getting better. I no longer have to think about money to buy milk, what else is now all expensive." Saying Dance.

After tired of working Frans get ready to go home, it did not feel like it was 22:00 WIB. He walked out of his study. I don't know why he misses his wife and his two children so much.

Frans came home and was greeted warmly by the sweet smile of his wife. Frans kissed his wife.

" Where are the kids?" Frans asked while searching for the whereabouts of his two little angels.

" They're asleep." Dona said and took her husband's briefcase and took him.

" It's not like Carlos always wants you to stay." Said Frans curiously.

" Now Evan and Carlos won't sleep with us again." Dona said with a smile on her face.

" Why can!" Frans was surprised.

Dona walks into the house, Frans continues to criticize his wife with questions that still make him curious. It was very difficult to persuade Carlos to sleep separately from his wife. There are many ways they have done it, but all in vain.

" Ma, tell me what really happened. Why would Carlos sleep apart from Mama?" Frans asked as he continued to follow her wherever she went.

Frans followed his wife and walked to her room to clean up.

As promised after dinner, Dona told him how Carlos would sleep without his company.

" Now Mama tell me what really happened." Frans said while sitting next to his wife.
