The Princess Mayor

The Princess Mayor
11. Crishtian Notes.

Leira furrowed her brows, Nicholas had been silent since then and said nothing.

"What's this brother Nicholas saying?" Leira ventured to ask.

Nicholas, who was asked, lowered his head. He was afraid that Leira would not know him anymore, because their friendship had been going on for so long.

"Actually, I'm Nichol's your old grade-school friend." Nicholas immediately opened his identity.

"Nitzol! ... That whiny Nichol?" Leira said as she scrunched her forehead.

Despite a slight blush, Nicholas still nodded his head.

"God! You're really Nichol?" Ask Leira to make sure.

Again, Nicholas nodded his head.

"Where did you go that time? I've seen you everywhere, but I haven't seen you either." Said Leira with tears in her eyes.

Nicholas who saw it so moved, he thought Leira had forgotten their friendship.

"My father was transferred, so I don't want to go there." Nicholas Obviously.

"But you can say goodbye first, don't have to go that way." Leira protest is upset.

Nicholas feels guilty, but everything has happened and cannot be repeated.

"Sorry!" That's the only word that came out of his mouth.

"Yes, it's okay. After all, it was a long time ago too." Said Leira while wiping her tears.

Leira was happy, the old friend she often missed was now back and in front of her.

"So you're not angry, Ma'am?" Ask Nicholas who still calls Leira reluctantly.

"Um ..," Leira shook her head and continued. "Don't call me Ma'am, we're the same age. H-he!"

"Ehh. H-he!" Now Nicholas chuckles with Leira.

Their joking sounds were heard by Bi Nenah and Mang Ujang who were walking towards the kitchen.

"Non Leira is getting more familiar with the Police." Chirps Mang Ujang who walked behind Bi Nenah.

Hearing her Husband's babble, Bi Nenah again expressed her frustration. "Bae atuh Surjang, is the Police Officer meritorious for Non Leira. Heunteu rich maneh, anu make wretched."

"Euleuh-euleuh eta si Nenah, I have said sorry.why or not, still angry from you tea. Not enough of my apologies." Mang Ujang tried to defend himself.

"Kumaha maneh we Surjang! anu important mah, sleep misah!" Threaten Bi Nenah who immediately made Mang Ujang wrong.

"That's Nenah, sin!" Mang Ujang Reject.

"Sabodo, king!" Reply Bi Nenah while leaving Mang Ujang who was scratching his head.

In the living room, Leira, who had just finished her dinner with Nicholas, asked again. "So you've been in this town for 3 years?"

"Yes .. and during those 3 years, I tried to find information about you, Ra." Nicholas said, then he told about his struggle to find out about the existence of Leira.

"You're saying the school refused to provide information about me?" Ask Leira wonder.

"Yes ..they also refused when I asked about our old friends." Reply Nicholas again.

"Oh, so .. I thought, you don't want to see me anymore. H-he!" Leira again chuckles at Nicholas.

"Abroad! I always wanted to see you, Ra. Even the photos of the two of us I always carry. This ...," Nicholas said, showing a picture of them in his wallet.

"Eh, the crybaby!" Ejek Leira while pointing at a small photo of Nicholas.

"Don't be careless .. I'm the 'Ajun Commissioner of Police' now, I'm not whiny anymore, I can even defeat criminals with just one punch." Nicholas proudly retaliates against the taunts from Leira.

Leira chuckles amusedly with the behavior of her childhood friend, her age has changed but her behavior remains the same as it used to be.

Remembering the word villain, Leira recalled the incident earlier this afternoon.

"Nichol, actually, I'm still confused by what those criminals mean. What do they want from me?" Leira said to her curiosity.

"That's what we're all trying to figure out, Ra." Reply Nicholas with a heavy breath.

He and the police, have not found a bright spot about the motive of the perpetrator related to the attack on Raharja's family. All they could do now was, protect Leira from their cruelty.

"Oh yes, Ra. Last night, what were you doing inside? Is it true huh, you didn't listen to the commotion at all outside?" Ask Nicholas seriously.

He was curious about what Leira was doing in the room this afternoon.

"Right, I didn't hear a single sound in there. Perhaps, my father made the room soundproof from the outside and inside." Leira expressed her opinion.

"It could be, anyway." Nicholas tapped his chin with a finger.

"You want to go in there?" Ask Leira.

"Can?" Nicholas asked back.

"Can, come!" Take Leira and grab Nicholas' hand.

The two of them walked towards Leira's father's reading room, Crishtian.

After being inside the room, Nicholas was amazed to see the contents inside.

"Wow ... stunning!" Slowly muttered.

The room, filled with a complete collection of books and neatly arranged on a shelf. Even the way it is arranged is very neat, based on the color of each cover.

"It's worth it to be here, Ra." Said Nicholas who still looks amazed by the atmosphere there.

"Yes, I also entered it for the first time today." Chirping Leira.

"What?" Nicholas was shocked to hear Leira's words.

"He-he ... why? surprised huh?" Said Leira while chuckling amusedly.

"Sure, how come, you've only entered this room for the first time." Nicholas replied in disbelief.

"Of course you can, because Dad forbade me to enter it." Obviously Leira is flat.

Nicholas scrunched his forehead hearing the reason his best friend's father.

"Perhaps, the late Mayor doesn't want you to ruin his book collection." Nicholas said that made Leira squinted at him.

"Don't be angry, I'm just being mean." Nicholas corrected his words.

"Basic!" Leira grumbled, but she smiled at Nicholas' panic now.

Leira walked to the corner of the room where her father's desk was. "Nichol, here!"

Nicholas, whose name was called, came straight for Leira. "What's wrong?"

"I was checking this notebook again." Leira said while showing her father's notebook.

"Why did you check, Ra?" Ask Nicholas in wonder.

Leira sat down on the chair first before finally explaining. "I feel like there's something weird in Dad's notebook. Here, Dad writes that I'm not happy with the behavior of some of his friends who have done something wrong."

"Oh ... Where's?" Nicholas feels interested in Leira's story and wants to see the book firsthand, who knows he found clues about the attack that occurred to the Raharja family some time ago.

"This ...," Leira thrust out the book she was holding.

"Eh, that's right. Your father also mentioned that his friends were trying to harm him."
