The Not A Wedding Dream

The Not A Wedding Dream
PTC 9's

Aisyah felt her hands heavy enough to return Khalid's embrace. His cries died down, not subsided, precisely as if hindered by the tremendous shock caused by Khalid's spontaneous actions.

"Dad, forgive me."

That was all Khalid said in his arms to Aisha. One hand still holds a piece of paper with the marriage covenant.

Khalid stretched his arms. "I'll explain everything."

The falshback

Khalid felt a tremor from his pants pocket. Apparently the vibration came from someone calling Khalid.

"Hello. Assalamualaikum."

"Vaalaikumsalam. You got time? if there's a time I want to talk to you at the regular caffe where we hangkring."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Paste right lo? by the way I'm going to his cafe now."

"OK."

"Sip deh. Assalamualaikum"

"Getishalight."

Khalid put his phone back on the car dashboard. The news from Iqbal made Khalid turn the direction, he did not go home but went straight to the cafe where he and his friend coffee.

The car is traveling along with other vehicles. Right next to Khalid's speeding car was a car with a woman whom Khalid was familiar with.

Khalid saw it once in a span of no more than 5 seconds. Then he refocused on his car.

About 1 kilometer before reaching the cafe, Khalid suddenly had to stop at a red light. This made him look again to the side, coincidentally the car with the female passenger also stopped in front of him.

The time for the green light to turn on was still 30 seconds, Khalid looked back to the front. She faintly heard the woman giggling with the man inside.

This is what made him look back, a laugh he had not heard from for a long time. Sharp highlight Khalid's eyes continue to look at the woman who looks very happy.

Like an ABG who is going to go for a walk. But this is different, he is no longer a teenager.

The woman Khalid knew well before he even worked.

Tin! Tin!

The horn behind Khalid blurred his focus. The traffic lights turned green.

Khalid's car drove back at medium speed to the south precisely where the cafe was located. His mind was still fixed on what he had seen.

Not until 10 minutes until Khalid arrived in front of the cafe, he drove his car in the parking lot. He hasn't been here for a long time, it's been about 1 month.

This cafe has been established since 8 years ago, since before Khalid worked. From outside Khalid had seen Iqbal with a glass of his drink.

Iqbal, who noticed this, also waved his hand at Khalid, who walked towards the entrance.

The cling!

The sound of bells ringing as Khalid opened the door of the cafe. Khalid, who had just returned from work, also brought his briefcase into the cafe.

His footsteps walked the corner-most shirt, this is what Iqbal did when his heart was in turmoil. Sit in the corner so he can focus on himself.

But his eyes always looked on the outside of the cafe while looking at the pedestrian traffic, but he was not too aware of what he saw.

"Hi bro's. We haven't been together for a long time!" Iqbal has a high five with Khalid. Then Khalid pulled the chair in front of Iqbal and sat there.

"Why?" khalid asked without further ado, that was his habit.

"Gue wants you to make a marriage agreement for me and Sabrina." Obviously Iqbal to the friend in front of him.

Khalid hooked one eyebrow to a sign he asked the intention of Iqbal's request to make a marriage agreement for her.

"The lid."

"Why me?"

"You're the only color that's known to me and Sabrina since Junior High."

"Ga wants to."

"Well lid, I want to see Sabrina the cake before, not Sabrina the gini."

"Why?"

"That's your business."

Cafe bells were silent, for some reason Khalid's eyes were interested in seeing who the visitor was.

"Lid come on" Khalid focused on the scene he was looking at. "Khalid help me to de-design this pseudo."

The visitor was the same person he had seen in the car earlier, a woman he knew and a man who might have been his girlfriend.

"What do you see shit? " Iqbal saw Khalid unfocused, he followed Khalid's line of sight.

Not to look back, Khalid called Iqbal, "gue agreed."

Iqbal looked back at Khalid with a relieved smile, "My prayer is tomorrow?"

"Now?"

Iqbal's eyes were round, "can you now?" ask Iqbal. Khalid nodded in agreement to Khalid's request.

"Gue needs paper now same pen too."

Iqbal immediately took a look at the contents of his briefcase, and took what Khalid needed.

"Now lid."

Khalid grabbed the paper while occasionally stealing glances at the woman and her partner, looking so happy and as if nothing had happened.

Khalid pulled out the end of the pen cover, pulled a little close to the paper he was going to wear and started writing one by one.

He had read about the chapter of the marriage covenant he had read.

Who come home late at night, it will not be given vehicle facilities.

Dare to touch me then I will let go a month.

There was no physical contact at all.

No more sleeping in bed with me.

I will not give you any more shopping money if you dare to talk to me.

Most importantly, I will divorce if I dare to defy my orders.

After he finished writing, Khalid handed the paper to Iqbal. Iqbal received the paper and read the points prepared by Khalid.

"One, who comes home when..."

The more he read, the more Iqbal squinted his eyes at being a bit strange for a marriage covenant.

Iqbal gulped his saliva with great difficulty as he read the last point, where it was stated that he would divorce Sabrina if she defied his orders.

"Lid, can you change ga? this is too much woi."

Khalid knitted his brows, a second later he nodded.

Iqbal breathed a sigh of relief, everything went smoothly with God's permission.

Iqbal sip his black coffee, Toraja coffee is very fitting to accompany the mood of Iqbal who is sad now.

"Eh you ga pesen coffee?"

Khalid nodded while staring out the window. It was clear the atmosphere was starting to drizzle out there.

"Mr. One coffee."

Iqbal ordered the coffee, Khalid was surprised in his composure, not dumbstruck. Surprised not because Iqbal ordered coffee for him but surprised when Iqbal turned his head back because the coffee bar was in the middle of the cafe room.

Khalid checked the atmosphere around, he did not find the woman, maybe they had left first. Think Khalid!

When Iqbal turned his head back towards Khalid who had knitted his brows, Iqbal instead nodded in surprise at having ordered a coffee for Khalid who had obviously rejected him earlier.

"Well that's my deal for you who've helped me, even if not how much."
