Episodes 202. I'm Just Borrowing

While Jiang Kang and his allies were looking for a way to open the way to the Slime Tribe's Resource Room, Gofan was sitting cross-legged in the ground.

Smile on his face, “They finally helped me..” murmured slowly. Gofan got up and walked into the cave.

From the time of the battle against the rats, Gofan had clearly known of their wish that was the Heavenly Sutra, therefore Gofan used the golden light of Divine Eyes to tell Jiang Yan regarding the Slime Sources Room and now they helped him pave the way to the dead-end wall of the Slime Cave.

Gofan stood invisible among the eight mice who were trying hard to destroy the dead end wall.

The Slime and Gofan silently watched what happened, showing no concern at all on their faces.

“King. They disturb your sleep... It was time to teach them a lesson!.” from the memories of the Slime, Gofan found out that King Slime was very fond of him, which was somehow unknown to Gofan. But with the support of the Slime King, he did not have to worry about Jiang Kang and his three Soul Beasts. No problem!.

“Ke-Why is this place empty?!.” eight Rats were surprised to find an empty underground room without the slightest trace of precious treasure as Jiang Yan had delivered.

“Jiang Yan's. Are you playing us? I even exerted all Divine Abilities to destroy this wall just to see an empty room like this?!!.” Reproved Jiang Kang was angry. The other six mice, also looked furiously at him.

“Tu-Young Master Kang... Something must be wrong here... Mu-Maybe they used Camouflage to hide all the treasures in this room.” Jiang Yan said stammered. He was not sure about it, but considering that Slime had the ability of Camouflage, it was not impossible to trick their eyes.

Jiang Yan formed a spell seal and roared loudly, as a golden light burst forth from his index finger.

BOOM!! The eight mice were knocked back, when suddenly a powerful roar struck them backwards.

“Two Demon Souls?! King Slime!.” muttered his eighth, their faces pale seeing a 42-foot Slime appear before them.

The eight retreated in order, preparing to flee.

“Where are you? Why did you just run away? Didn't you come to rob me?.” said King Slime, his huge body writhing and turning into a humanoid form, a middle-aged man standing before his eight.

His eighth leg trembled, Jiang Kang was no exception. Two Demon Souls were indeed on par with his Three Soul Beasts, but it was slightly stronger. Not to mention thinking about his Magic Energy that had already been drained to destroy the wall. Given that, right now, he was simply no match against King Slime.

Jiang Kang turned around and bowed respectfully, “Hail King.”

“Greetings King.”

“Greetings King.” The other seven bowed and saluted.

“I-This is the King's misunderstanding.. We where dare to rob the Heavenly Demon Forest Ruler, we came only to take back the Heavenly Sutra.” Jiang Kang coughed a few times.

“Be-begini King...” Jiang Kang explained the disappearance of the Heavenly Sutra from within the Mouse Tribe's Resource Room.

“So so... You accuse my people of stealing the Sutra, do you?.”

“What sassy! You came in disrespectfully, smashed the door of my hermitage Room, and accused my people of stealing just because of that assumption... Do you have any proof that my people did that?.” The aura of the Two Demon Souls erupted and suppressed the eight mice, “In the Sky Realm whatever might happen, there could have been other creatures that also had Camouflage abilities, isn't the Sky Realm now filled with new people from the Little Realm.. Jiang Kang stared at Jiang Hong, hearing King Slime's remark he doubted the report given by Jiang Hong.

Jiang Hong bowed, and ventured to explain, “Ra-King.. The opening of the path to the Little Realm only lasted a few months, it was impossible for them to know about..”.

“Bigger! Still dare to accuse my people?!.. What I say is the truth. Without orders from me, the entire Slime would not harass the other Tribes. How could they dare to act against my orders?” The Slime King's roar interrupted Jiang Hong's speech.

The Slime King flicked his arm, and a large pile of Divine Treasures appeared before them.

The eight mice looked carefully, examining every Divine Treasure that King Slime had shown them.

The eight went silent and turned around.

“Did I say you guys can go?.” King Slime folded his hands behind his back and walked towards the eight mice, “You killed members of the Slime Tribe, woke up my sleep, and destroyed Guaku... How are you going to compensate for all these losses?.” his gaze sharply towards the eight mice.

Jiang Kang had already expected this to happen so he just glanced furiously at Jiang Hong and took off the Starry Ring from his hand, “Haha..” his laughter forced, “Sure... Sure.. we will indemnify all that.” Jiang Kang bowed and handed over his Starry Ring. The other seven followed.

“Although this is nothing, but this is all that we carry at the moment and with iklhas hand it over to the King, in restitution.. Please forgive our sassness.” added Jiang Kang.

King Slime flicked his arms and inspected all, eight Starred Rings.

King Slime shook his head, a disappointed look appeared on his face, “Not enough. All the treasures within these Rings are mere trash.. This is not enough to compensate.” he said firmly.

Jiang Kang's face was pale, as were the other seven, all the treasures they had brought had already been handed over. Now they looked at each other and fear was seen on their faces.

After a few moments of silence, King Slime said again, “Look at your King, I will give you time to bring here the Celestial Peaches, two of you each, if in three days you do not offer the fruit, I will seek the Rat Tribe to demand vengeance.”

“Te-Thank you King. Thank you for the King's generosity. I assure you, before three days, we will present the Heavenly Peach Fruit.” Jiang Kang's vows approved the other seven. They breathed a sigh of relief and hurried away.

“Man. What's your name?.” asked King Slime to Gofan.

“King Salam. Thank you for your help. I'm Gofan from the Continent of the Penda, Little Realm.”

King Slime nodded, then flicked his arms and a stone monument as big as himself appeared before Gofan.

“I don't know, where did you inherit that Divine Eye from, but whoever gave it to you has a relationship with us, therefore, I help you.” point King Slime towards the stone monument.

The stone monument was the same as the other 12 Tribes, only, it was smaller in size. A statue of an elephant stands on top of the monument. Looking at the statue, Gofan recalled Tian Baixiang's true form.

“... We are part of the Sky Elephant Tribe. Before our bodies were destroyed, the previous King transformed us into Slime, making us the controllers of all the existing Styx Tribes.”.

“... The previous king had the Divine Eye like yours. Is it possible that you have met him in the Little Realm?.” asked the curious King Slime.

Gofan was silent for a moment, he was sure that the Elephant statue was similar to Tian Baixiang, but he obviously would not be able to pronounce Tian Baixiang's name in the presence of the Slime King, “King. Note Gofan; I have realized some of the differences between the Little Realm and the Great Realm. In the Continent of the Penda, the Clan was called a Trah, it was the same, just a different mention. Similarly to the Sect, it was the same as the Universities and Parties that existed in the Continent of the Penda. The understanding of those things I gained, either from the Slime or the Rats. Especially regarding the Jiang Clan branch, most of it comes from the memories of Jiang Kang that I learned secretly. So far, only the Slime King I've studied openly, the rest of them, done without approval. Haha.... Agree or not, as long as the golden light is connected to them, I will study them.
