The Night After You

The Night After You
CH - 14: A Pair of Lover Under a Flag Pole

"Drink," said Sanda while giving the bottle of mineral water to Sena

"I'm not a bus." Sena's not done talking yet.

"I opened it" said Sanda

"Take it," said Sanda while giving the drink to Sena

Sena took it and started drinking the water.

"Thank you" Sena said as she looked at Sanda with her cheeks still wet with tears

"Remove your tears, it's not good that he fell on that cheek" said Sanda as well as giving a tissue

Sena took the tissue and wiped her tears.

"The woman in the library was Farisa's name, she's IPA 2's child" Sanda said

Sanda continued his words again.

"The day he asked me to teach him how to write rhymes, because his mom was going to be on her birthday any minute, she didn't know what to give" Sanda said

"So he came to me to the library, because he just wanted to thank me and ask me what books are good to read, that's all" Sanda said, looking at Sena

Sena listened silently to Sanda speak.

"Where can you say that I have so many women? While I've never talked to people," said Sanda

"I'm just upset to see you get to be with that woman in the library twice in a row" Sena said

"Well, have you ever been to that library again? Besides the first time we met?" ask Sanda

"Yes, and bitterly I must see you with another woman" Sena said

Sanda smiled.

"You jealous?" tanya Sanda looked towards Sena

Sena looked towards Sanda.

"Yes," Sena replied as she also looked towards Sanda

"How can you?" ask Sanda

"What's that?" ask Sena

"How can you feel that feeling?" ask Sanda

"Yes because.... Because of me.." Sena said unresolved

"Alright, it is quite difficult to say if it has been realized from emotions instantly," said Sanda

"But if I may speak," said Sanda seriously, looking at Sena

"What?" ask Sena by waiting for the continuation of Sanda's speech

"I feel the same way too, but you know, I'm not very good at expressing myself, I'm not good at talking about a lot of topics, I'm not interested in that kind of stuff. Surely if you were with me, it would be very boring for you" said Sanda

"But I've never felt this feeling other than with you" Sena said

"I'm the same, too" replied Sanda

"But are you really sure about that? Maybe being with me is not as happy when you are looking for another man, maybe with me your life will be so-so, just like that" said Sanda

"Who knows? You and I haven't tried to be together, have you," Sena said

Then Sena turned her gaze away.

"But it seems like I'm strange, how can it be a few weeks to see you, I can fall in love like this, I don't know, I'm like a fool now," said Sena

"But that's what happened" Sena said again, while looking at the lake

"But I also felt that, and I also seemed to have become stupid because of this feeling," said Sanda

They were silent for a few moments there with silence.

"I'm not a rich kid, having a day with me won't be that fun, I can't give you chocolate every time, I can't give you flowers every month" Sanda said

"Who cares about all that? Didn't the poem you wrote tell me that love doesn't need what you said just now?" said Sena

Sanda was silent to Sena's words.

"I know you have your own way of being happy, and so do you take me into it. I won't change anything" Sena said

"I love you" said Sanda looking at Sena

"Me too" said Sena

"But if I say you want to be my lover, it's too old-fashioned, isn't it?" said Sanda

Sena laughs.

"Yes, it seems," said Sena

"But let me change those words. Let me spend the days with you, is it okay?" ask Sanda with a smile

"Of course" Sena said with a smile

And when that time comes, finally Sanda and Sena officially become lovers. In a fairly short story between the meeting of Sanda and Sena, finally lead them both to the same feeling.

"Oh yeah, you forgot, what time is it?" ask Sanda

Sena then looked at her watch.

"Gosh, it's past 20 minutes of class, we're late" Sena said as she stood up

"Let's go back to school" Sena said, then ran, and Sanda also followed behind her

They arrived inside the school, after passing through a gate that was not in the key. They had to part at a crossroads to get to their respective classes.

"I go first" said Sena, stopping in front of her class, and Sanda was still running

"Yes," Sanda replied as she headed for her class

Sena who was in front of the door, then took a deep breath first before finally venturing to knock.

"Okay, calm Sena, all good," said inner Sena

Sena started knocking on the door.

"Excuse me, Mum. Sorry I'm late" said Sena when she opened her classroom door

"Where are you from? It's 20 minutes late, Sena. Tumben once?" ask Teacher Sena

"Yes, ma'am, there was a bit of an obstacle before" said Sena

Sena's girl friend who saw Sena, started talking about her.

"I told you, he's been pretty weird from before after getting to know the man" said one of Sena's friends

Sarah who heard that answered immediately.

"Be quiet, you know what you know about love?" sarah said to her classmate

"For sure, Sena's fine like I said, right?" sarah said again, to her female friend

His friend nodded his head.

"Because that this will not be repeated, and should not be imitated by other students, so now you are the first law mother of Sena" said Guru Sena to Sena

"What punishment is Ma'am?" ask Sena

"Now, you go to the flagpole, and stand there, until Mother's lesson is over" Guru Sena told Sena

"Well, ma'am," Sena said as she walked out of the classroom, and closed the door

Sena also received the punishment, because her mistake was late to enter the class.

He started walking towards the flagpole, then stood below it.

The heat of the day was quite blistering, making Sena quite restless.

"Wear this hat" said a man suddenly behind Sena, putting the hat on Sena's head

Sena immediately looked behind her.

"Sanda" said Sena

Sanda then stood beside Sena.

"Maybe this will be a wonderful memory, right. People everywhere when they first become lovers go to the mall, take a walk to the beach, or surround the city together. But we, instead, have to stand under this flagpole" Sanda said as she looked at Sena with a smile

Sena also smiled at Sanda's words. Now, they both stand under the flagpole.
